I would recommend Cerakote Trim Coat or That Black Stuff Trim Restorer for textured plastic trim, I have used both with great results and you don't need to remove the panels to use the product.
@@BoltsNBoost Sorry I am confused. In the video you used Dupli color but you linked me to chemical guys. Did you use Dupli color for the trim and chemical guys for the hood louver?
Need something for my 2021 Kona. Geez, the black plastic looks like crap, I have tried the Mothers product, last a few days. Sent Hyundai a message with regards to this, so far, no response. BTW, I do not want to paint any body panels. Any other suggestions? Products? I have to do the rockers, front and rear bumpers, mud flaps and other little trim bits. Cheers! Stumpr1
Do you have to clean the surfaces to remove silicone and other failed blackening products before you paint?
Yes. That is ideal.

Yeah I have used cerakote too. Great results. Just none on the shelf.
That Black Stuff never worked for me. Going to grab the Cerakote. Fingers crossed.
Do you have a link to this? Or can I find this in any common hardware store? Also Did you use it on the hood louver?

@Wallebrothers yes that is what I used for the hood louver. Due to not overspraying the hood

Cerakote trim restorer or this duplicolor stuff works great.
