I was only a below average player, but that was exactly how I played and I took it to the extreme. 4 graveyards, load up the wagons, dark ranger for even more skeletons. On defence I'd never run out of bodies in my base or mana to raise them thanks to statues. Priests were never enough on their own to stop me, I overwhelmed them with the sheer number of skeletons I put out.
@@Lorric101 then what should human do about this if priests are not enough, rush gryphons (im asking for a friend)?. its good that microing multiple skeletons is rewarding but there should be something to counter this play i think so edit: priests with briliance aura should be a way
@@dimitardimitrov4403 Really, you need to stop it before it starts. It puts a burden on the UD player to get it up, and it's not very effective without large numbers. If I get everything I want and roll my wagons up to your base you're in deep trouble. I always had a couple of shades to help me get my slow army successfully to the base when the time was right. I don't want to fight in the field where you've got more room or where you can make me raise skeletons and play cat and mouse with them and I don't want you hitting me in the back with your army while I'm attacking your base. Don't TP back if you can help it, hit me in the back. I want you in front of me with your buildings impeding you with my skeletons blocking all the gaps. If you've got priests, you might not be able to take out all the skeletons, but you could perhaps blaze a path through them to get at the necros and wagons. Griffons is difficult as it's a higher tier and you need plenty of them as lots of necros and mages can do a lot of damage to them.
@@Lorric101 in the video at minute 9 he had mage skeletons with several graveyards just in front of the enemy base, this happens very fast and i guess rush dragonhawk is at least a try to - they will kill necromancers in no time and have quick generation rating. yesterday i tried to make mass skeletons but because the map was small - echo isles i started with plenty of crypt fiends to support me and clear many camps quick with dreadlord trying to get him to level 6 fast, when i approached my enemy i was level 4 with crypt swarm and aura 6 fiends somewhere and 2 ghouls at this location, he had lich dk 3 fiends rod of necromancy which was crucial for me and obsidian statue was on the way but did not come in time anyway what happened is that i killed 1 fiend and my crypt swarm left ALL of his units to 1 hit but i lost all army and dreadlord was badly injured to try to chase them down, there was 2-3 skeletons with frost armor that was blocking my way and i would not make it in time also the statue would save them i seen it coming when i was running back troughout his base, next step i made is i instantly tried to make mass skeletons but just few minutes after he came in my base with 2-3 destroyers and i was still half t3 with 6 fiends and statue but the dreadlord had to die because he was still injured after another camp farmed in the meanwhile. what im saying is those flying units needs something else than no matter how many skeletons also the battle was so close but too fatal for me

Some people play conventional and some people use cheap strategies .... sometimes the lame strategy player wins and sometimes the conventional player wins... nobody really loses all the time. Using terminology as "loser" and "winner" is stigmatizing, unclassy and not sportsmanlike.

Morale of the game, do not go Paladin as 2nd hero. That pretty much lost him the game. He should of just went Mountain king for clap/storm to pressure naga or if he noticed too slow, just go panda for drunken haze/fire breathe. Teching priest takes too long when the problem could of been solved
One guy never gets priests, the other never upgrades his necros, both make plenty of bad plays, and it's still a total blast to watch. This is real WC3.

It would allow him to make a bit more skeletons. But he would have to make sure the ones already produced survive longer. In general, in necrowagon strategy, you upgrade necromancers to full and upgrade skeletons to damage 2 at least. Have to do it fast, and harass with DK to slow enemy down. DK is almost crucial, because wagons need that speed *and regen*.
@@drakewarrior1013 Yeah DK aura even heals mechanical units. How much do you think the nerf will affect him tho? His aura now goes up 7.5% per level instead of 10% so it is 25% ms at level 3. Imo endurance aura was always even better than DK aura. At least for orc that has more healing options.
@@sandro5535 it is very worth especially if you can do it before main attack, because then they get more mana from upgrade, not only mana pool also i could cast frenzy on Naga but i felt like i have to attack fast and with all the ghouls and then had lumber problems
Here's a suggestion: NE vs UD/NE. Take AoW+KoTG and place near enemy altar/rax. Hit it and if 2+ ghouls attack the AoW eat the trees so only 1 ghoul can enter at a time. This should give plenty of time to tech something like mass faeries.
Now i never played warcraft 3 competitive other than against friends. But couldn't the human player simply just make few footman and a hero then take down the undead " town center " Also this strategy can be easily countered using priests since they have that aoe spell that deals 200 dmg to summoned units
My take, not sure if it's accurate: Part of the reason for the early game harassment was so the other guy didn't know what he was doing and so didn't storm the necropolis early. When he saw the necropolis he probably thought he was getting ready for a tower rush and moved to tech into seige weapons quickly. This was backed by the fact that zigurrats were on either side of said place. The graveyard was kept at the back so the enemy didn't see the first one. If he'd had time to click the two buildings he might have seen what they were when he was scouting but he didn't. So he was preparing for a tower rush where the other guy was building for necros. From there you see the seige weapons being put to use to destroy buildings which was the opposite direction to where he should have gone. The harassment made expanding and recoverring difficult and the blight was encroaching on the base making finding space more and more of a challenge. Building stuff takes time and resources after all and if you have someone destroying your buildings and killing your workers with waves of mobs which mostly cost them nothing more than mana then it's kind of hard to come back from being overwhelmed.
We should have never asked him to play something other than human. We created a monster.

I actually always do this and spamming the undead (but I use the meat wagon because it can generate corpse) because it doesn't cost any population 😂😂😂
