Sister Mary Patrick is a MUST on Sister Act 3.
That's a betrayal from Whoopi, ESPECIALLY because Kathy said that she's known Whoopi long before sister act. Very sad. We want KATHY IN IT!!!
It can't be sister act 3 without the original cast they were the reason we enjoyed sister act 1 and 2

That first interview was quite a while ago. Their body language screams 'falling out'.... especially in the recent interview when she points out she's known Whoppie's daughter since she was 4. I wonder what the heck happened.

I think they are more interested in making a film similar to the second one than the first. As we all know in the second one it was more about Delores and the kids and all the nunns took a back seat. I have a feeling it will be the same there. A new group of kids, Dolores dressed as a nunn and other nunns in the background. I'm sad for Kathy because she brought so much to the first film. It's not cool of Woopi, well at least Kathy still have the Hocus Pocus Franchise and King of the Hill revival...

According to IMDb, Kathy is in Sister Act 3. I figured she must be in Sister Act 3 since she was at the recent reunion show that aired, sitting next to Whoopi and smiling away. We'll see!

I really think the whole Kathy not being asked is staged to get more hype for the movie and then when it’s released she’ll pop up in the movie.

The fact this is even an issue tells me how far Whoopi has been consumed by her own self-importance. I loved and respected her as a comedian, as an actress, as an advocate for social causes, and as, what she once portrayed herself as, a person. Now, she's just turned into my mother and I truly can't be bothered with her any more. Life is too short to wait for the change you know will never come. All we can do is lament in the moment and quickly move on to the next potential disappointment...
How all of the nuns came back for part 2 . I want all of the students to come back for 3.
She was a huge part of the success of 1 & 2. I found it very strange she was snubbed.

I think people are expecting a linear continuation of the previous cast but it seems like they are doing a completely new story I think even Whoopi will probably have more of a supporting role this time even though her name is the big one attached to the movie. We may see cameos from some of the other past cast mates but I don’t think they will be written into anything significant.
If I was Kathy and Whoopi asked her after being snubbed the first time I’d be like nope I ain’t doing it sorry but not sorry. I’m if I’m not good enough to be in your movie and not asked I’d be like hell no!

I don't think Whoopi has secured Maggie Smith yet. If Maggie declined, I could totally understand taking the story in a new direction. All or nothing when it comes to the nuns still with us. (I don't necessarily agree, but it makes sense.)

I love Whoopi, but this seems so shady!! If Kathy is not in 3, it won’t be worth watching. How do you not invite back one of the main characters? I don’t know what the tension is, but now I don’t want to see it on the strength of this situation. I can live on just 1 & 2.

It will be just Fine if she doesn't show up. They can write her out and say she's at another Parish Or Church outside of the U.S. to help Orphans or something. Just choose an Actress who is beloved to play a Replacement. She was talking the same way about Hocus Pocus. I think she's done with the 2 Roles that really made her Famous without them she would not have done My Big Fat Greek Wedding 1 & 2. She is really known for 3 Big Movies.

Why invite Kathy to the 30th anniversary show if Whoopi wasn't going to invite Kathy to be in the 3rd movie? it would be awkward scene. If Kathy isn't going to be in the next movie, they should have just excluded her from this reunion with a lame "scheduling conflict" line.
She should be grateful if she misses this. This sequel is a terrible idea. The second film was full of good intentions but utterly devoid of the original movie's spirit.
