    Love your videos!! These are all great tips! Some airplanes (usually the bigger ones) have changing tables in the restroom. But even though they are meant to change babies, they still are pretty uncomfortable. Also if you ask, sometimes the flight attendants will find a little floor space in the airplane where you can change your baby (obviously something more out of sight). Lastly, when I’m traveling with a little more carry on luggage, I like to take a carrier, and a stroller. I wear my baby, and load the stroller with all my bags, this makes it so much easier than pulling luggage all while pushing a stroller.

    Changing diapers in the air is interesting. You really don't want to have the diaper bag with you because it is to small in there. Carry your stuff under your armpit. You also want to have a wide stance. I didn't do this one time and we hit turbulence and I was thrown around.

    I work for an airline and it was hilarious to hear you call the agents at the gate who take care of seat assignments flight attendants 😂 but anyway, awesome video! Wish I watched it before I flew with my baby a couple weeks ago. My baby also had a blowout and changing her diaper/clothes in a tiny airplane bathroom was tough! I also ended up washing her clothes in that tiny sink. Tip to prevent this in the future, size up on diapers!! Or put a bigger diaper over the regular one. It was a hot mess..

    I wanted to mention that I breastfeed and I travel with my little one. I hate carrying around frozen breastmilk and pumping stuff and bottles so honestly why not just exclusively breastfeed the entire trip?! and forget about all that pumping stuff!! If your baby latches it’s just so much easier and convenient to just feed directly from the breast!!

    Hey there, we have preterm twins, born 2 months earlier, in Toronto. They are now one month old and will be discharged from NICU in couple of days. We have to travel 450 km from Toronto, in my Jeep, to get to our home. Doctor suggested to take frequent breaks during the travel, but I still don't feel comfortable, and feel very nervous. Any tips or suggestions?

    Hi Olivia! Thank you so much for doing this video! We're taking our first flight next week with our 4mo :o) Did you pack your breastmilk frozen in a cooler bag? Curious to know if that's allowed through security as well. Thank you! PS- Christian is soo cute and getting so big! You're looking great as well :)

    How is it like travelling now? My son will be 18 months old in in the summer and I'll be flying home to England with him to visit my family on my own with him. Any advise I'd appreciate it. Thanks Amy :)

      xxAmyBxx i suggest taking many new not so expensive toys to keep him busy and interested the whole time. Also an iPad with his favorite movies and games. And stickers are fun for toddlers. Just let him stick them around.

    I’m curious why would you bring a stash of breast milk if you’re producing milk? Is it for “just in case”? I’m planning my first flight with baby, I breast feed and usually pump once a day. Trying to figure out should I bring all my pumping stuff, it would save so much space not to! Good idea with the boppy. Your son is gorgeous!

    • @oliviazapo
      @oliviazapo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aw, thank you so much!! I brought a stash to have some back up since I had someone watching him while I worked who was going to be feeding him bottles. I was worried about not having enough milk on hand if he was eating as I was pumping, so the stash helped give me peace of mind that he had enough! But totally not necessary depending on the circumstances of your trip! :) Now as a second time mom, I would skip the pumping supplies and just breastfeed throughout the trip if I didn't have a sitter and could!

      @@oliviazapo thank you for responding! that makes sense! I think I'm going to try pack light and bring my 2 hakaas instead for when I'm engorged in the mornings. They're definitely not as powerful as the electric pump but they do the trick. I'm going to follow your second time mom advice and breastfeed through the trip! happy travels :)

    At what point i have to put the carseat and the stroller on the flight bag? Someone told me that i have to do it when I'm Checking the luggage at the entrance.

    • @katie6144
      @katie6144 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can check the car seat and stroller at the ticket counter or the gate. The ticket counter, where you check in before going through security, will take them and they will be at baggage claim at your destination. If you do this, you won't have to lug them around the airport but you won't see them until you arrive at your destination. If you want to go through the airport with your car seat and stroller, you can check them at the gate, which is where you board the plane. Check your airline's policies because some require strollers to be under a certain weight for you to gate check them, otherwise you"ll have the check them at the ticket counter. I'm flying soon and have to check my stroller at the ticket counter because the airline requires gate-checked strollers to be under 20 pounds and mine is more than that. Good luck!

      Circumcision and breast feeding are completely different things.... 🤦🏼‍♀️ Please don’t judge the way others decide to parent their children. I nurse my child in public, but I also will always circumcise my sons. Let parents do what they think is best for their child.

    • @oliviazapo
      @oliviazapo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Our hotel offered the option of either a crib or a pack and play so we took the crib... but he hated it so he slept in the bed with me 😂 (so neither of us really slept cause he always sleeps in his own crib). I would recommend calling your hotel to see if they offer a pack and play and if not then bring your own!
