At .48 and .52 those harmonic "screams" are real, and sir, excellent work, they do sound just like the studio version! This is one of the most iconic bands from years past, the actual guitar music that David Gilmore wrote is priceless, and like others have said, if the generations growing up can appreciate this priceless art, this will live on forever!!
@@grahameharris5557 Wow, thank you so much for the incredibly kind words! I’m honestly flattered and a bit overwhelmed by your praise. David Gilmour is such a legend, so it means a lot to hear that you enjoyed my cover. Thanks for listening!
amazing work bro, that's actually one of the closest to the original studio version i've ever seen in terms of rythm and notes. Tone is great too cheers
Just thought id let you know Ive been watching hundreds of these entries and to me no1touches the story telling in this solo. Everyone seems hell bent on aimless widdling all over the neck with no purpose. Yours starts out low, has a middle, and a high ending like any good solo should have. Id be suprised if this doesnt make top 3. Nice job man. 👏
@@JoeShredder-yc1km Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and share your thoughts. I just tried to stay true to the feel of the original, so it’s great to hear that it resonated with you. I’m honestly flattered by your feedback, but just happy to be part of such a talented group of players. Thanks again!
Hi Jonghyeon, can you tell me you setup? I mean what pickups you have and what pedals do you use, I have bridge pickup a Seymour Duncan SSL-5, middle is a Fender custom 69@ and neck a fender fat 50's, all through a tube screamer into a big muff rams head, a Boss sd-1 into a noise gate, this should work, as its David Glamour's set up to the letter, but can you give me any advice, that sounds bang on, I'm getting confused with the settings, I have listened to it so much that I have probably had the exact sound and brushed over it thinking it wasn't correct. Saying that I find it easier to hear someone else play to judge the accuracy of tone, any clues mate?
Hi. I'm using Fractal FM-9 turbo and noting else. As you can see in the description, I'm using Fender MBS with Wizz 60's HF wire pickups. These pickups produce a sparky, powerful tone with much higher clarity than stock pickups or Ron Ellis 50/60 pickups. In my FM-9 setting, JCM800 and ENGL V30 cabinet simul were used. Klone was used as a booster. As you know, guitar tone can change significantly simply by changing amp settings, type of cabinet, type of microphone, and mic location. So it's not easy to explain how to achieve certain tone in your setup. And even if it is the same model of pedal, the sound of the old version and the latest version can be distinctly different. I don't know how the tone coming out of your current setup is different from the tone you want to achieve, but there are definitely some parts that are difficult to overcome no matter how you combine the amp and pedals. I think the key to my tone is good wood with good pickups. Oh, and I changed the head machines to ones with brass posts. I'm not sure how much this changes the sound...
@@jonghyeonsohn5994 Thanks so much for such an in-depth response. I see your point, I have totally different tech to you so the sound I wasn't must definitely be there hiding somewhere, my set up is exact to Gilmore's yet as you say, it's how you use it and the variables are huge, getting it right must be harder than attempting to guess a four digit PIN number. I will get there, perseverance is the key I think. Thanks again Jonghyeonsohn. Scott.
Ты большой молодец! Играешь превосходно! Но почему именно именно Дэвид Гилмор прославился этим соло? Ты идеально попадаешь по нотам, а Гилмор играет не по нотам, а по струнам души.
It does my old heart good to see young people enjoying the music of my generation. Welcome aboard.
Loved it. So amazing to see the next generation enjoying DG's work and keeping it alive. That was phenomenal!
Thank you!

Nice!! Great tone... I usually play this with 297 factory preset from FM9T but your tone sounds better. Is it a custom preset?? Keep rocking!!
Yes, it's a custom preset based on 'Brit 800 Mod' amp with 'Klone' drive as a boost. Thanks!
splendid!! Bravissimo!
