Blake, the resident horse whisperer, is full on with his game with this pretty filly. She's beautiful and I can't wait for her progress. Once she gets to the point of touch and halters, she'll be able able to be cleaned up, brushed, and with some show sheen, she'd be incredible. I wonder if she will be as wild as Eijo when she's exposed to a saddle. Countdown of 30 days to greatness!
"Not a lot of progress" ---that isn't MY opinion at all!!!! Blake is doing it just right----slow and consistent. Trying to rush an animal into a desired outcome isn't a good tactic---it does the opposite, it instills New Fear on top of their old fears. Honestly, I know you folks are busy, but just try watching one or two of the Slaughter pipeline Rescue videos put out by Horse Plus Humane Society---then you'll see what a horrific experience this young filly went through. And, you say she's a Tennessee Walker, another aspect of their mission is to educate the public about the literal torture that those particular show horses are put through. Not saying that Stormy endured it, but it might be what she was rescued from. This project is a GREAT ONE-----an opportunity to help more folks understand. Thanks for taking her on.
Blake is very patient. Don't rush him. You can tell she wants to get close, she's just scared. She is so beautiful. I love her look. I hope you all can help her.
Gaining respect ,trust, and love from an animal takes time. Stormy has come along way in a day. She was touched and her flight fears ( instinct) relaxed, and she accepted Blake's touch says a lot. Glad her owner reached out for help and didn't give up on her. She will make a great horse. She was rescued from who knows where or what. Glad she is loved and has someone that loves her and has the means to take care of her. Stormy is beautiful
Well, she's only 18 months old, so not quite as smart as she's gonna be! She looks like she's doing great! Patience now will pay off BIG TIME later on, much better than forcing the issue, which will likely make subsequent training more of a chore than it needs to be. I LOVE it when you guys get in the round pen and just do your ground work, that's so awesome! You could post every second you record, and I'd watch every one! :)
Great video when Blake is working the horse and Allen is explaining the process. I know everyone has such a busy schedule and that won’t happen a lot but it sure is nice.
She’s beautiful, and you can see how much she fears any human contact, it’s obvious not a encouraging touch, she’s going to need as much as possible positive encouragement to reverse that horrible place she came from. Bigs hugs for stormy when you can finally touch her. 💘
Beautiful Walker..lots of promise on this filly. Flat shod walkers are so nice to ride..they cover alot of ground in good time. This one is beautiful. Blake's doing a great job!!
Exactly Blake, it's doing a lot of good! Alan, I'm sorry but you need to learn some patience. Small steps, until the horse has learned & is ready for the next step. Not forced into the next step.
Stormie is beautiful. It is sad when the price of caring for them skyrockets and people can't keep them anymore. Thanks, Blake and Allen for training her so she can get a new owner.
"AWESOME" job,Blake as usual :) one thing, at 14:43 Stormy was more pay attention & watching the flag behind you & I think she was backing up because of the flag, not because of you being near her. You are so patient with horses, I miss watching you do this kinda stuff. Good luck with your journey with Stormy & your new journey after you get done with school..I am really going to miss you. Been watching you & The farm on Route 66 for a long time..God Bless
Stormy is beautiful. Bless her heart. Blake's patience will pay off as she learns to trust. Maybe Blake will be able to get that halter on her before the shoot dries up enough to use.
Blake, you have the patience of “Job” 😇🙌🏼.Allan, good commentary. Didn’t have a round pen or panels when I was a young adult when working with various aged pastured, untouched equine of my uncle ‘s stock, I would tape one of leather gloves on a wond, have them in the barn and slowly start touching them on the body, working my way to the head and legs. Worked up putting a rope around their neck etc. Used the method over the years working with untouched/ unhandled equine. Looking forward to seeing her journey. 🙌🏼🤠🐴🌻🍁
It was horse shelter plus i think that rescued her. That was crazy when i heard that lady say the name of the rescue that saved her, i watch them in TH-cam also. I'm going to go back and see if i can see when they first got stormy. Horse shelter plus.... They are in Tennessee... Man i might be able to find her from there, but it's a lot of videos to watch...lol
When I was much younger, I bought a young quarter horse which had never been caught. I found a book written by Monty Roberts. It was a huge help to me. He has videos. I think if you would watch one on how he catches wild horses it would be of benefit. He was the first I ever knew who applied the humane methods that you apply. I don't want to be a know it all. I anxiously wait for each of your new videos. Keep up the good work.
She got the horse from Tennessee from Horse Plus they go to the horses Auctions and buy horses that are beening sold for dog food in Mexico need to check out you tub
I feel sorry for Stormy she must have had a really bad home before Laura took her. She has trust issues, that touch hurts. Blake you are so great with the horses.
😊 Blake is very good working with horses the young filly is beautiful and Stormy is a good name my uncle was good with horses hey taught me how to ride when I was three and bought me a beautiful palomino when I was five loved her memories right your family is beautiful God has Blessed you Amen😊
That was alot of progress this is a young horse that has been harm and hurt and your son did an Awesome job with her horses like this take awhile. Great job
A lot of progress. These things done properly take time and it's great to see brain and patience over brawn and hurry! Would she accept the back of your hand better than the open hand?
It does take a lot of patience and thinking what this animal has gone thru she very fortunate to come to you. In training my ex husband and I always would as I say end your lesson on a harmonious outcome. That way the horse will loose a little fear and be happy to see you.
Stated having trouble with my phone. I was hearing you guy's, but there wasn't any picture. Not sure what's wrong with my phone. It did the same on two other videos. It's trying to tell me I've over ran it haha ugh. Hope you feel better soon ~ nite all 🤗❤👍✌
As a kicked to the curb Tennessee walker, she most likely has some leg or foot injury as she seems a little lame. Going slow is just what she needs. Blake is doing a great job.
Blake is doing great, and she is learning….she is beautiful just remember to Work her cause when she Uses her Gaits she can do that all day that’s not work for her….and I keep seeing her turn on that gait…🤭🤭
You mentioned she was a rescued Tenn Walker. Were than any signs that she had been soared to do the big lick? I couldn't quite make out the unique walk at this point, perhaps if and when he rides her we will be able to see her gait. She looks like she could get a lot more weight on, she is pretty but not as pretty as most walkers when they are at the correct weight. Hope we get to find out what happened with her and who might have adopted her. It should be someone obviously who knows about gaited horses.
They got Stormy through Horse Plus Humane Society and Horse Rescue. They mentored the person you are working her for.
Stormy is doing a good job learning. Patience is all Blake is giving her and that is good.

Great job, Blake. Slow and steady wins the race.

Blake such a kind process she is smart and willing to learn.
I think she did real well for her first training session. Let's see how she does after a week. 💖

Alan, I think that's a LOT of progress for her first day! It's amazing!!

It's UNreal how real watching one working within nature no machines is.
Amazing to watch your videos on dealing with difficult horses. Also love all Blake's new shorts!!!

I love Tennessee walking horses I grew up around them and I always loved them
Patcience and consistency. Well done! ✅

Good job with the roundpen work Blake!! This will be a fun project!
I hope we get to watch each step of the horses progress.. its exciting to see this.... watch the unsure thoughts of the horse get turn around...
I can’t wait to watch each step in her progress. Thanks so much for sharing. Blake you have been taught some amazing skills.
Wonderful progress 👏. Nice and slow 🐌 👍 👌 🙂
Hi Blake,I love the way you train and ride the horses, and I love and enjoy watching your videos
She is a very beautiful horse, Blake did a beautiful job with her.
Going to take a lot of patience to get her to trust you!
Stormy is so beautiful. I can't wait to see her change.
Stormie is beautiful. It is sad when the price of caring for them skyrockets and people can't keep them anymore. Thanks, Blake and Allen for training her so she can get a new owner.

Blake is amazing! Hard working and responsible and kind. If I had been lucky enough to have a son. I would want him to be like Blake🥰
Good session ❣️ Can't wait to see more. Blake is Awesome 💯
Blake is doing great with Stormy.
Stormy is beautiful. Bless her heart. Blake's patience will pay off as she learns to trust. Maybe Blake will be able to get that halter on her before the shoot dries up enough to use.
I think Blake is doing it right! Beauty at its finest!
Try using the stick as an extension of your arm to start the touching of her neck and withers, try to keep contact even when she moves off.

What a beautiful horse🥰
I think Stormy and Blake will be fast friends!!
horses and the farm are in Blakes roots, he will always be connected to them
I am so excited about Stormy!😃❤❤👨💼🐴🐴🐎

Thinking it came out between April and June but they filmed into fall for auction.

Once these harder to break horses get broke, they're often your best friend and trust you more than nearly anything.
Some folks use pressure sprayers for flys. Don’t have to be close to her. Maybe give that a try. God bless you and your family. 🙋🏻♀️♥️🇺🇸
Well done!
Gotta use that stick for the touch it’ll be so much easier and she will learn to not hate the stick at the same time.
Good progress. You're doin' great Blake!
Thanks!

Great vid! Looking forward to Blake gaining her trust! She’s a pretty gal! (66 might like her…a homozygous roan walker in the cards?)
Awesome!!!!!

She’s going to be a nice horse, just a little time 🙂
As a kicked to the curb Tennessee walker, she most likely has some leg or foot injury as she seems a little lame. Going slow is just what she needs. Blake is doing a great job.
Looks like it's a gated horse.
a pacer I believe, had one awhile back.
Nice looking one
Alan was wanting Blake to be riding and roping off her after 20 mins. !!
She is gorgeous and will make a good riding horse.
She is so beautiful
Wonder if you watch SAM VanFleet or Camille’s mustangs? They both are great at training wild mustangs
Cool
Wow she is beautiful
❤❤❤
