That first set of fourtees was so interesting! It was so different! Extending the leg in front right into the side. Then the set of 32 was so so fast and dead on the beat. Russian dancers are so amazing. To think of what it takes to do those uniquely configured steps and get to that level. Wow.

Really enjoyed both of them; but she was just especially spectacular. Loved the speed, and she comes across
as both seductive and evil, not just evil. Plus what just a perfect look for the character.

Spectacular! Her turns are so clean, and that's the most polished ending to the fouettes I've seen in a while. I know this is 10 years old, but the Bolshoi didn't renew her contract a few years ago why?
Vaziev is mastering in Bolshoi now and he has his protege which are weak dancers. With Aleksandrova on the stage this huge difference will be offensive for his taste).
He doesn’t even understand that real stars should be “cultivated” sharing the stage with genuine ballet masters. In ballet it works only in this way.
And later videos show her even more spectacular performance.
@@ЕленаКузнецова-х8р7ч OMG yes! Of course, many serious ballet fans went crazy over here (USA) when Misty Copeland made principal at ABT, largely because of her publicity machine. They had a lot of extremely young principals last time I looked. You compared them with someone like Paulina Semyonova and your heart just broke.
Елена Кузнецова Agree! Nowadays such a weak dancers are staying on the Bolshoy stage, like Sevenard (wow, what a name, what a family!),Shrainer and others. Shame....
Everything you all said is true. To add to that, they want flexible, anorexic and tall dancers. They kept Zahkarova for her insane skinny body, her ability to touch her ears with her legs, and her physical height. I guess Alexandrova and Kaptsova (approx same age as Svetlana) are not attractive enough. They got Anna Nikulina, whose arms are so tense but hey she is stick thin and extremely flexible. They got Smirnova, who can barely act and do 3 pirouettes, but hey she looks kind of like Zahkarova. They got this horrible girl Alena Kovaleva who dances with flying limbs, but hey she is one of the thinnest and tallest girls Vaganova has ever had. I think if Yulia Stepanova doesn't loose 20 pounds she's gonna get retired early like Nina and Maria. I think if Evgenia Obratzsova doesn't grow an extra inch she's also gonna get retired.
