- Welcome to my flight report from Aer Lingus Long Haul. Departing Manchester bound for Orlando MCO, direct.
Aer Lingus, part of the IAG group (British Airways) opened a base in the North West of the UK in 2021, meaning you do not have to transit through Dublin to take advantage of their long haul routes.
I cover the inflight service, what food you can expect, drinks and everything else! Don't forget to stay tuned for the finger challenge!!

I’m surprised the alcohol wasn’t free, especially with the flight being transatlantic.
ha, so was I to be fair. For the price and the other airlines on the route you would expect it. But even so it was a pleasant flight
@@flyingmyles United Airlines, Air Canada, Air Portugal and Icelandic Air all offered at least one free beer on transatlantic flights. Back in 2019 I flew from Marseille to Lisbon and on that short flight they offered alcohol.
@@NickCADA Short haul with Aer Lingus is a hole different ball game, they are classed as low cost now, but yes, you would expect 1 freebie (or I did haha)...
Just managed to get a return to Orlando from Manchester in June for £450. Never flown with Aer Lingus before so it should be fun but I can't argue with that price!

@Memee833 that's the reverse thruster, helps to slow the aircraft down on landing
Hi, quick question, you recommend to bring your own headphones, do you know what connections they have to be? 3.5mm jack, usb c, bluetooth, etc..? Thanks
thanks for watching, you can use the 3.5mm jack but it has 2 pins rather than one.
I would certainly suggest taking your own.
You can get an adapter to 2 pin from Amazon
