I’ll still absolutely stand by the fact that the seasons when Hillenburg turned after the second movie (halfway through season 9 - around season 12) was great, borderline classic-era. Nobody ever brings that up anymore, it sucks.

truth or square: it is the 10 year anniversary, THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY, so you think they would have a GODDAMN good thing, but no! it is a 59-minute-long episode (yes, really) where 30 minutes it's patchy talking on the phone to random-ass celebrities, and 22 minutes it's the real spongebob episode, but it BARELY has a plot AT ALL. to add salt to the injury, this had a comercial where it said that it would reveal some secrets like why there is a pineapple on the sea and some other stuff, but that's done in a godawfully boring way, and some things aren't even revealed AT ALL

I think you should check out “Breath of a Fresh Squidward” and “New Leaf”. To me, both these episodes had some pretty awful moments between characters that ruined some potential of a good episode. That might just be me though.

If I’m being honest, I hated the wringer episode more then House Fancy. Everything about the wringer was just wrong - the plot, the dialogue, the fishes, the “moral”, and Patrick. Dear god they just massacred my boy. Patrick in the first few seasons isn’t the brightest bulb in the box but still a chilled, laid back, and supportive friend of SpongeBob. But this episode, oof. Both him and the fishes were the worst. From Patrick being oblivious to how SpongeBob being stuck is affecting him to the fish people basically saying SpongeBob deserved being crippled for how he treated Patrick. When I first saw this as a kid, I was confused but now as an adult, I just wanted to pull out the frying pan and seasoning. These fish would’ve yelled at Patrick too if they were in SpongeBob’s position. I would definitely consider this to be one of the worst episodes of the series. SpongeBob is definitely a show that was taken advantage of with its popularity and was dragged on for too long - going against Stephen Hillenburg’s (RIP) wishes on ending the series with the 2004 movie. Massive disrespect. And this wasn’t the only show to suffer from it. Fairly OddParents, Thomas the Tank Engine, shows like these, while directed toward a younger age demographic, it was something for both kids and adults to appreciate. But now they basically ruined them by either dragging it on for too long (FOP) or used it as a purpose to market toys (TTTE) While there are a few hidden gems in the modern era of SpongeBob, one of which is Sponge Out of Water (in my opinion) it’s charm, humor, dialogue, characters, and everything else isn’t on par with the classic SpongeBob. Just wanted to give my two cents on this.

I'm honestly sick and tired of people hating on Paul Tibbitt. There were also a lot of really good episodes made during his tenure. And it's been explained numerous times over the years that Stephen Hillenburg never actually left the show, he just wasn't directly involved with it.

I’ll still absolutely stand by the fact that the seasons when Hillenburg turned after the second movie (halfway through season 9 - around season 12) was great, borderline classic-era. Nobody ever brings that up anymore, it sucks.

it is the 10 year anniversary, THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY, so you think they would have a GODDAMN good thing, but no! it is a 59-minute-long episode (yes, really) where 30 minutes it's patchy talking on the phone to random-ass celebrities, and 22 minutes it's the real spongebob episode, but it BARELY has a plot AT ALL. to add salt to the injury, this had a comercial where it said that it would reveal some secrets like why there is a pineapple on the sea and some other stuff, but that's done in a godawfully boring way, and some things aren't even revealed AT ALL

I think you should check out “Breath of a Fresh Squidward” and “New Leaf”. To me, both these episodes had some pretty awful moments between characters that ruined some potential of a good episode. That might just be me though.

If I’m being honest, I hated the wringer episode more then House Fancy. Everything about the wringer was just wrong - the plot, the dialogue, the fishes, the “moral”, and Patrick. Dear god they just massacred my boy.
Patrick in the first few seasons isn’t the brightest bulb in the box but still a chilled, laid back, and supportive friend of SpongeBob. But this episode, oof. Both him and the fishes were the worst. From Patrick being oblivious to how SpongeBob being stuck is affecting him to the fish people basically saying SpongeBob deserved being crippled for how he treated Patrick. When I first saw this as a kid, I was confused but now as an adult, I just wanted to pull out the frying pan and seasoning. These fish would’ve yelled at Patrick too if they were in SpongeBob’s position. I would definitely consider this to be one of the worst episodes of the series.
SpongeBob is definitely a show that was taken advantage of with its popularity and was dragged on for too long - going against Stephen Hillenburg’s (RIP) wishes on ending the series with the 2004 movie. Massive disrespect. And this wasn’t the only show to suffer from it. Fairly OddParents, Thomas the Tank Engine, shows like these, while directed toward a younger age demographic, it was something for both kids and adults to appreciate. But now they basically ruined them by either dragging it on for too long (FOP) or used it as a purpose to market toys (TTTE)
While there are a few hidden gems in the modern era of SpongeBob, one of which is Sponge Out of Water (in my opinion) it’s charm, humor, dialogue, characters, and everything else isn’t on par with the classic SpongeBob.
Just wanted to give my two cents on this.
Jeez… I can’t believe the show has managed to drag for 20 YEARS after the creator wanted it to end… the disrespect to him is insane

Gonna be honest, I loved House Fancy as a kid. Even with the gross scene. Squilliam’s house is the main reason, I thought it looked cool. To this day I still don’t hate House Fancy. However I’ve despised Stuck In The Wringer since I was a kid.

It's crazy how SpongeBob ripped Squidward's toenail. I thought he didn't have any toes. He only has tentacles. That episode is traumatic. And I thought Paul Tibbit would make the series better and less weird. Well, I thought wrong. Tibbit should be ashamed of himself.
I'm honestly sick and tired of people hating on Paul Tibbitt. There were also a lot of really good episodes made during his tenure. And it's been explained numerous times over the years that Stephen Hillenburg never actually left the show, he just wasn't directly involved with it.
@@KylerWulff Can you blame Tibbitt? He ruins SpongeBob for some reason. The first 3 seasons were amazing! Those were good times. But I have one question. Would AI replace some writers and directors of that series? That's a tough question to ask. But SpongeBob deserves better.

I feel like Keep Bikini Bottom Beautiful/A Pal For Gary are the two worst episodes. I'd say Wormy for obvious reasons but the writing was still decent on that.
