    It would be fun to add the Panasonic 35 and 50 into the mix to compare the optical qualities

      The Panasonic optics are identical to the new Leica ASPH … for a quarter of the price.

    What is your thought comparing SL 35mm f2 ASPH L Mount to 35mm Summicron f2 ASPH M Mount?

      If you like 35mm try the sigma art 35mm f1.2 , only this lens is heavy but probably it is the best L mount 35mm .

    So it is very simple, if it is lighter to carry and less expensive, you fix that small gap by editing slightly wich you do anyway and goodbye...the decision is simple thank you for the review very good

    this test could have been better. Apochromatic correction is more apparent with high contrast images where longitudinal CA and lateral CA fringing appears, especially with the former which is near-impossible to correct even in post. the review (and accompanying photos) did not highlight any of that.

    Aren't they all ASPH, both APO and non-APO?

    Pixel peaking the bokeh at F2, theASPH version seems faster with bigger bokeh balls

    ライカは確かに格好いいし高性能ですが、私の預金残高を簡単に破壊することが可能です。可能であれば今の半額で販売してください。

    I do want an APO 35mm in what you call plastic body (you should bother to explain what plastic are you talking about, take the lens apart, inspect and analyse do not just BS call it plastic). Composite material that many items are manufactured from including lenses are more temperature stable and can be manufactured to greater tolerances then metal. 👎

    Just get Hasselblad X2D with new XCD 55mm F2.5 and never look back. The SL system is way overpriced for what it is

      Have you actually ever used an SL2?

      Wait what, isn’t that setup $12K? An SL2s and the 50 kit can be had for $4600 rn (with Leica rebate)

    • @GKhanKutar
      @GKhanKutar ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sameer0581 50 is a panasonic lens. You have to compare it with SL2 + 50mm F2 Apo or 50mm F1.4 Leica which is 13K

      Not really. I ve upgrade from Sl to sl2s a year ago. And from 2 or more years ago. I ve been purchasing Panasonic lenses and sigma lenses and never looked back. I have actually never purchased a Leica branded sl lens since my very first one. I ve got sigma 35 1.2, Panasonic 85 1.8, 24 1.8, sigma 100-400, ttartisan 50 0.95, plus a few extra for a combined cost of less than a single Leica apo lens. This is luxury you would not get from a medium format setup. Almost no third party and especially for leaf shutter hassy lens system.

      @@ralph95vip same here - the only Leica lens I ever bought (used) for my SL2 is the 24-90. Selling that one at the moment because it’s too heavy for daily use. Plus the Sigma Art lenses are absolutely excellent.
