Another good tip is build the house for the nameless town side quest as soon as possible. It is a free full heal that you can use anytime for free by fast traveling to it.
another thing about the skill boards and caits: for characters you dont use you can get them ~lvl 15-20 with the caits if your main team is over lvl 25, and then level up their skill boards focusing primarily on working to the influence areas of the skill boards. the lvl 1/15 caits wont give much exp for your main party after a while (500/1k exp is much less useful for them than a full team of unused lvl 1 characters for instance) and the caits cant really...kill your party at all either. the lvl 20 caits on the other hand, give a whopping 5k exp so those ARE useful. using the free 3 a day exp encounters you get on paid ads, its rng on which ones you'll get (i got 3 lvl 20s today for example) but make sure you dont completely ignore the rest of your party members. even if you dont plan on actually using them, getting their influence and having them leveled just in case for their story missions will help out.
another tip, for areas you have explored, you can click on the minimap in the top right, and then just tap where you wanna go on the minimap and it will autopath in that zone for you. very useful for when youre retracing areas or leaving a dungeon.
You forgot to talk about Telly. He gets a passive ability that gives 10% extra exp points to himself and the unit he’s paired with. If you’re trying to grind units you might not otherwise use for their JP boards he’ll help speed it up.

That's a feature If you get the same character twice the game automatically lets you keep the better of the 2 and turn the latter into guidence gems (ik thats not the right name sorry)

@@riwmi2302 if I got viola or Lynette at the start I kept going and did the multi and guidance pulls too trying for the other. This reroll was two 5 stars in the multi so it was the best one so far
Is it confirmed you can completely get all JP board skills and passives? It looks like you get a 1 to 1 JP per level and when I counted there are more than 100 panels.
Bro I just reached Tytos battle at level 25-27 and ima just say he’s harder than previous bosses by a lot. You pretty much have to fight him twice and no auto heal between battles. I got destroyed and now I’m here 🙂
Last thing, when I lost it said I could pay 30 rubies to restart the battle. Sadly I had only 29 (bruh) so I’m not sure if it would’ve allowed me to start the second battle again with full hp, or if it would start me over from the first battle

Scarecrow I heard is not the best unit to have lol🤣 . But game is fun and a lot of things to do! Not too complicated since I played the original octopath, but there’s just a bunch of things to learn and to deal with 8 characters at once’s is hard too
Thank you for the video and sharing what has worked for you so far. I'm very much liking this as so far it feels very much like a full Octopath game. In terms of leveling what I'm most curious about is how to use my seeds, whether I start spreading them out, and how much of an effect EXP alone has on the game. I haven't used any yet and I've made it through the Chapter 2s without problem, but just like in OG Octopath, boss fights take absolutely forever. If hitting my Scarecrow up with 20 additional levels is going to shave 10, even 5 minutes off these fights then I'm doing it right now lol.

It took me almost 7 hours to get Lynette as initial unit and Theo 5* and viola 4.5* in first multi. More than 50 rerolls

Viola is God tier and Fiore is pretty good too, should stop rerolling with that

Get either one + a good 4* units and get the good healers
I ended up getting a 5 star Theo for my second 10 pull. All my luck is now gone.
I started with Theo got 4 and a half star Millard then got a fiore
I guess Sigrid is gone can't get her because every 5 star character has a limited times. I try to get her but just getting the same characters. Sad 😔
