If hasbro put in the same amount of effort with all the figures as they did with this one the line would be so much more complete and consistent

@@rszarir not really an excuse it's a legitimate explanation. That budget gets spread thick on some figures and thin on others. Just how it is, as long as hasbro wants to be cheap and keep budgets small there will always be inconsistent quality across the board
If they did we wouldn't get our favourite background 3 second characters like the squid-like guy recently released, or ki adi mundi
I’m glad to see the white-edged Darksaber is becoming the standard, I’ve been using my Credit Collection version for years but I can finally give it back to Gideon (until Credit Mando snatches it)

Im loving this Mando. Almost perfect combination of esthetics and Articulation for me. When the latest MAFEX Mando hits ill be curious to see which is better in hand as this version is looking to be the definitive Mando fig in the scale.

I got this figure today and I’m so happy with it! Even though I love my older black series mandalorian this new one just looks so screen accurate! The new cloth cape and helmet sculpt look spot on 👌

I'm so happy with this figure too. He can do 2 handed sword poses better and more easily than many Jedi figures. My only issue is getting the cape in a good looking position with the jetpack on.

This guy is waiting for me at a friends house and I can’t wait! Unfortunately he’ll probably be the last fig I get for a while after losing job b4 Xmas. Hopefully I’ll be back on that horse soon .but at least I could finally get this guy! in the mean time I’ll bE living vicariously through my boys in the basement! Great watch again Nate! Fantastic figure. Interesting to learn about the reuse. I definitely haven’t seen anyone point that out yet. Arvala 7 (Muddy) Mando didn’t come with a knife. The only Mandalorian figures with a knife arethe season 2 S.H. Figuarts and the Mafex. You also have his cape draped over the wrong shoulder. I think until Hasbro stops cheaping out on paint details (like his detonators and the launchers on his kneepad,) the imports will still have an edge. Also have to point out the kneepad not really working as a kneepad even if it’s technically “floating.”
Yeah I confused myself because I have him holding Cara Dunes knife on my shelf. Whoops! Also I think cost is really what it comes down to. 4 missing paint apps, alt hands and mayyybe a blast effect for about $100 less. I think most would take that deal especially in this economy. So I firmly stand by this being the best 6 inch Mando you can get for your money. I respect your opinion but I have to respectfully disagree! Thanks for watching! -Nate
@@OutOfTheBasement $100 less? The new Mafex Mando isn't even $100 with shipping included. It's currently still preorderable at under $67 before shipping which is about $20. That one comes with a (great looking) Pedro head, another head with the flashlight, several sets of hands, an effects part for the rifle, a spear, a rifle, jet effects, a wired cape, two Grogus, a cloth satchel, a flamethrower effect, whistling birds, the grappling line, a flight stand plus everything this figure comes with, minus the knife. And that one has all of the paint apps and articulation this one is missing. Again, I have this Black Series Mando and love him. I think it's a great figure. But...c'mon.

Now that we know even this figure is a retool of the Death Watch body, it blows my mind that the Pre Vizsla figure uses the OLD Jango mold. Just… Why!? Oh, right… so they can release the mold we want in another year or so so we buy it twice. Lol
They may have been sitting on that figure for a period of time. Who knows? -Justin

What I’m thinking is that what will the season 3 Bo katan should look like and what she comes with.
1. The head has longer hair than the first one this time.
2. Her left shoulder has a beskar shoulder pad this time.
3. Her accessories will come come with the darksaber and the rest will be like the one from the first one that came out a few years ago.

My copy is sitting in my pile o loot with the tusken chieftain waiting for the pykes to show up, so I don’t have this yet. I’ve watched a to of reviews though and yeah he does look pretty great.
The reuse of the deathwatch parts makes total sense and that’s a great buck to reuse.
The blue parts on the hips and the one knee are way too bright but it wouldn’t be a modern black series figure without some oversaturated plastic. End of the day that’s a nitpick here with everything else that’s great about the figure.
Alt hands would be nice since there are gripping issues (Padawan Ahsoka has similar issue)

I shipped my loot pile from BBTS this new Mando is coming with that delivery so I'm patiently waiting for them to arrive.
I love the fact that he has a soft goods cape and he can wear his jetpack with it. I'm glad he has a better version of the Dark Saber which is great. And he not only has the knife/dagger but he also has boot storage.
I liked the Beskar Armor Mando but this latest version is definitely my favorite next to his original armor version.

This is definitely my favorite Mando figure. I wonder if this design was his first and they just put out the other deathwatch? I think this is up there with my clone wars obi and Anakin as favorite ones

The death watch mando scupt is one of the best in the line, should of used it on pri vis, a tip for pri vis hair dryer the ankle & push on the toes of the boot & force the rocker joint forward, & same with the shoulders on , heat it & pinch it at the elbows, it works to get a straight up pose from pri, it works

This figure is just soooooo damn good! I cancelled the new mafex mando because the only other thing from that figure I would want is the unmasked head, but couldn't justify paying the price after getting this black series fig.
That's totally fair! In my opinion, Black Series wins this round on value alone. Once you truly consider that this one is $25 USD...easy choice. -Justin

The figure is only really good if you get one without QC problems.
i ordered 3 of them and 2 of them had bad painting in the silver and the 3rd figure had scratches.
They didn't look anywhere near as good as yours in the video, what a shame.
I have sent them all back3 months ago and may start a new attempt, it can't be that difficult to get a good figure..

I was able to pick up Mando and Pyke at my GameStop here in Orlando pleasantly surprised considering FL doesn’t do well with get figures fast. This figure is amazing. Easily top 10 for me.

Damn! This figure is awesome! Worst part of being a black series collector in Australia is that we get figures really late and also we dont get some figures here like examples star wars rebels and the Christmas figures.

I’m pretty sure you have seen the new mandalorian figure which is from season 3 called the mines of mandalore and I may have figured out why did hasbro use the plastic cape again on that figure because in episode 2 din djarin took his cape of when he bathing in the living waters of mandalore so that’s Mabye the reason why hasbro use the plastic cape again.
But Mabye hasbro will use the soft cape again in the future if they make another mandalorian figure.

Hi N&J. Been out of pocket past 2 weeks and have your last 4 or 5 vids to catch up on. Love this new Mando! Picked up a couple of them, one for my BOBF shelf, and another for my S3 Mandalorian shelf. This figure is awesome! Appreciate the detailed review. Now I know why I like it so much, it shares parts with the Deathwatch Mando figure, which was also a banger release. Gotta hand it to Hasbro, when they get it right, they get it right! Cheers! 😁

Such a great figure especially for the price. I love it way more than the mafex. Articulation is super similar and this one feels much more durable

This mando glaviss ringworld, is a level up fig for hasbro,I mean it is £25,& it looks better than figs that cost 3 or 4 times more in price of the mando, it is a crazy good fig, yep there are issues with the vibra blade hilt being to small, but you know this fig will be released many times again & they will fix that,this mando fig is so smooth easy to pose, looks cool all the time,great review as always nate,keep up the good work, this mando was my first fig of the year 24 jeeeez what a great start

Really fun figure and a much needed upgrade! Unfortunately they didn't give us the new leg with the knee guard on the shin instead of the thigh. Holding out hope for the next upgraded version...

Found this one at a gamestop in Canada and had to pick it up (3rd mando now xD). Definitely the best we've gotten I'd say. I don't understand why they're re-releasing it without the soft goods cape though in the next wave of Mando figures tho.
Yeah I still haven’t figured that out yet unless somehow it’s cheaper to make the plastic cape but I’ve always heard soft goods typically cost less in manufacturing. Idk so random but atleast all of us in the know can just get this one! -Nate
I mentioned the sculpt on Justin’s review of this figure. Regardless of the reuse, all the figures on the DW Mando body are amazing. Especially on the GR Mandalorian. This is Hasbro’s best figure to date in my opinion. Also, I don’t remember Muddy Mando figure coming with a vibro knife, if he did then I missed it. Thanks for the reviews. He doesn’t. The only Mandalorian figure with a knife is the season 2 S.H. Figuarts.

@@OutOfTheBasement I’ve also figured out how to get Mando to hold his knife. I noticed it by looking closely at the promo pics. You have to turn the handle and wedge it up by his fingers. I wish I could post pics here to show you.😁
Have you guys heard any complaints of QC issues with the Glavis Ringworld Mando? I just received mine yesterday & the cape was unraveled in the front. Unfortunately I’m unable to exchange d/t it currently being out of stock where I bought it.

Hey Nate, what do you think about the O-ring shoulder pads not being allowed to freely rotate around? It’s capped at a certain point. I noticed it in my review I posted. I didn’t know if it was a nit pick on my part but I have not really seen others point it out.

That’s not true I thought that was the case but you have to break the swivel in. Heat it up and slowly rotate the ring with the arm until it does a 360 and you’re good to go. Also the gauntlet swivel has to be heated on some figures to work as well.
@@edwinarroyo8069 on my review I show that if you look into the joint it has a small space that it’s allowed to travel forwards and backwards

It's way better than previous Hasbro Din Darins, but the Mafex still has the better/more accurate helmet sculpt. I'm also keeping my eye out for the Mafex V2. This Hasbro Mando's T-visor is a tad too big and the cheek bottoms are too "roundy" to be the most accurate....but overall way better and I'll eventually get one....Anyway, thanks for the review. 🙏👍 -Y

I'd definitely pick up a first appearance Mando in durasteel, it's that one look that got me into the show. I've been holding off on the original because that figure looks so off.

The best Mando figure out so far! I got mine at GameStop on 01/05/2024 when they were stocking the shelves so they never seen one before so I jumped on him but I’m keeping him in the box. Great review! What would you rate from 1 to 5 with 5 being the best? My opinion is 4.5 out of 5 since the helmet doesn’t come off. The paint looks great in the sun.

Hi fellas, mind if I ask if the beltpiece is glued down to the waist or can you move it around? I asked luke and he said it's a floating piece, while a dude from reddit states otherwise.

Good morning Nate, I wouldn't suggest that if you & Justin have an FYE Store in your nearest Shopping mall & if any SW Black Series Fan sees that figure in there, they would charge around $50.00 + tax or close to it. But like I was just saying that I'm only making a little suggestion is all. Other than that, it was a very good video though.

@@OutOfTheBasement looking at mine in normal lighting, it’s not noticeable, so it may have just been the lighting on the video, since different plastics reflect differently. I think the torso is made of a harder plastic than the softer plastic of the legs. Either way, no biggie. Camera

What do you mean over articulated? Isn’t that a good thing why do you think it’s bad ?
There is a such thing as too much articulation. I find a lot of imports put too much focus into the articulation at the cost of the figures aesthetics and stability. Another great example would be just about any Toybiz marvel legend from back in the day. Those things look HORRIBLE and it’s strictly because they are loaded up with articulation. I never noticed such a thing exists now after you mentioned it I found out that all of my imports have stand to help their balance while my black series can just stand properly by themselves except that pre vizla 🤣🤣
But I don’t really know should we focus on the articulation or stability it’s a really hard stuff to decide
I look forward the day Black Series adopt the pinless double joints for elbows and knees, their single joints are still pretty limited and outdated at this point.
I don think they ever will. Black Series has and will always be about aesthetics over articulation and honestly the single elbows look more natural and most of the time only have slightly less articulation then other figures with double elbows. Thanks for watching! -Nate

Highly disagree. I had the mafex and much prefer this one. There might be certain things better on the mafex but overall especially with the pricing its not better by much. This ones the way to go

Yep and thanks to the awful plastic tray the dark saber and pistol came warped. Great design there! Never had an issue like that with PFP. So glad I can see the figure again it total matters as I toss that box in the recycling. -Nate
I am, and I cannot emphasis this enough: GUTTED they have made the same mistake on the knee joint placement, as they did on Deluxe Boba. COMPLETELY ruins the poseability for extreme action posing of the legs and looks completely wrong. GODDAMNIT Hasbro. SO GOOD with just the most BAFFLINGLY STUPID design decision. You didn't get it wrong on Bo! You don't get it wrong on other single joint Black series...What is wrong with your engineers?? bIt's nothing to do with the knee pad or single joint, it's just the joint is too low. I find this SO frustrating. I went from insta-buy on this figure to meh, I'll wait for second hand or clearance. Yes, I really am just angry about this idiotic and utterly needless issue.
David, my brother, the knee pads are not glued on this figure (like the other death watch figures). They can be moved to the lower leg with ease. -Nate
@@OutOfTheBasement unfortinately that wont fix it. The lower leg is shorter than than the thigh when bent. The more you bend them, the goofier and more wrong it looks. The actual pin joint is placed too low on the leg. The leg is bending at the upper calf, not where a knee bends. If you bend leg forwarfs, and the knee by 90 degrees and look at it side on. Tbe designer needs a talking to, its a completely avoidable issue. Same issue as Boba from a couple years back. Its a huge issue for action posing, just looks goofy AF.
