For sport-touring glory, reach for the LS2 Challenger GT helmet. It’s HPFC (High Pressure Fiberglass Composite) shell will provide many miles of protection. Under the lightweight shell, a a multi-density EPS guards against impacts. Drop the inner sun shield when a sunny day turns blinding. Additional features include Pinlock compatibility, a quick release face shield, and a chin curtain.

Have had this helmet for the past 4,500 miles. It is fairly light, I enjoy the position of the visor switch. I know he complained about it in the video but its so much easier than trying to work it on top of the helmet like an HJC. There is some wind noise, and my only complaint actually comes from the covers by the ears as they are loose and and make you think there is shit crawling in the helmet with you. Which I have had happen on a few occasions. Overall good helmet for the price. Have yet to crash test it and do not intend too.

Deeper ventilation channels would lead more air through the channels directly to the outlet in the back, but less air to your head.

I own this helmet and it rocks. Love the huge eyeport and drop down visor. Good ventilation as well. What the guy didnt mention was the helmets fit small. So I am a Medium in a Bell but a Large in a LS2. Have over 2000kms on this now and couldn't be happier. I did notice the eyebrow vent hard to get to but honestly I keep it open all the time anyways!
The ratchet chin strap is also a great feature. He wasnt raving about the one piece cheek-pads but no glue or 2 sided tape is anywhere in the helmet. Everything is laser cut.
The EPS is also multidensity like the ARAI but he didnt mention that either lol.

It really depends on your head shape and your budget. If you have a long oval head shape, then you would want to consider the LS2 Challenger. Most riders learned on DD ring and don't want/see a need to change. Great question though.

I bought one of their helmets and it didn't fit well at all. It squeezed my head on the sides and there was empty space in the back of the head. I did not like it at all. It wasn't this exact helmet, but i've also never had a problem with any other helmet company fitting that way. It's like it was made for an alien head lol

Did it ever occur to you that the time I purchased one, there were no reviews of it nor did any local dealer carry them? So I was going in blind.

Honestly, that helmet is just a copy after RPHA 70. Same position of lock in the middle, same actuator on the side, same front vents and the list goes on. HJC nailed it with the 70 model, but it's not ok to copy that. It's just my opinion tho.

FWIW, every helmet is going to be load with the visor up. Brands only focus on aerodynamics and noise with the shield closed. Opening the visor is like driving in a car without the windshield or with a window down, it will inherently make the experience louder.

I hope that didn't dissuade you from the purchase. Tbh, I was iffy on it at first but tbh its much simpler and in the event of an emergency its a single finger on the strap pulling downward and a release of the red strap. The D rings take time and there's always that end piece hanging, unless you have a snap-on end like Arai does. However to each their own, if you dont like it...you just don't like it. I love it
