- As U of T launches legal action against the pro-Palestinian encampment, dozens of U of T professors are publicly backing students involved in the occupation. Shauna Hunt reports.

These students are not trying to sabotage Canada's economy by blocking international trade routes. Duh.
They’re not disrupting entire residential units, grid locking residential streets, blocking highways, creating hostility and chaos, doxing individuals for weeks on end and most of all they’re fighting a real cause, where your tax money is used to fund a genocide that’s killed more women and children across all conflict zones in the last few years.

A teacher's job is not to be neutral or to teach bOtH sIdEs. A teacher's job (at least in the humanities) is to help students develop critical thinking skills and be able to analyze, and critique different types and sources of information, and build supported arguments.

If this stance is solely based on peace and humanitarian efforts, why is their protest divisive on the single side of Palestine? I believe if that in fact this is their stance, they should consider standing for both sides in their demands. This single sided stance is NOT Canadian! The British got military support from Palestinians during the fight against Egyptian, and they also got monetary support from Israel. The British promised the land to both Palestinians and Israel.. and they basically left the game without properly ending the dispute. Technically, if you go back in time wayyy back in history, the longest holder of the land was actually The Kingdom of Israel. Islamic people took over the land during middle ages..then crusaders.. then ottoman.. Palestine actually did not exist.. they were promised for the land but that promise was also made to Israel.. should blame Britain, to be honest

We have laws in our country and people need to respect that. Take a dispute out of our country. Look at all of the reservations in Canada: even ones that are close to city centres are generally worse off than the surrounding regions. This way of thinking gets you nowhere.
