Thank you for making all those videos. I was wondering if you can recommend a guide, website or book for all jewelry measurements. for example prong size, how much to cut out of a prong, heights, thicknesses .. Some type of guides or standards follow & can help with designing and 3d building
Alright, I'll see if I can find something on stuller. Thank you. I have some Questions regarding 3D modeling - to printing - to casting. I see some designs and I am always wondering if they are casted pieces or handmade. I would like to share some pictures with you if that is ok. Is it possible for me to speak to you on the phone or by email? My email is nari@nalillc.com
feldmarwatch.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/roberto-coin-2020.jpg This for example, I am curious to know what is casted & how that is possible. The bracelet looks like it might have been assembled after the cast. I am wondering if you can explain the process of "How it's made" . The individual pieces are probably hollow from what I see. I would like to speak to you about this piece if you have time. Thank you
If only I was lucky enough to have an uncle like PJ...question for you sire...I know you used Rhino, but I have access to Fusion 360 and AutoCAD. Have you used either one of those and which do you recommend.
I heard a lot of good thing about those two software they are good in different acspects. AutoCAD is great for engineer drawing. Fusion 360 seems easy to use. I like Rhino because it has strong surface function. for the jewelry design, I recommend Rhino
Great video tutorial(s) PJ. Thanks. I am wondering what material and thickness you are using for the laser engraved face. Is it an anodized or coated aluminum?
Nice! Thank you PJ! I just wanna ask you if you can make any tutorial for a free form of earrings design with T-Spline, if it is possible!? Thanks in advanced!
Hi Miazi, T-Spline is no longer for Rhino 6. If you are using Rhino 5, You may still able to find the plugin. You can find a lot of Fushion 360 tutorial using t-spline or if you are using RhinoGold you can find as the name clayo.
Can you make a detailed one 🥰
full tutorial please

You can check on Stuller. They have a good guildline for 3D modeling and printing

One more question. How much more work would be if you decided to print and cast in silver for example?
I did cast it in brass. and depends on what type of surface you want. you may spend some time cleaning and polish.
Nice!
Thanks, Anton.
Very interesting video PJ, thank you. I would love to see a tutorial on how to create the vector art for laser engraving👍🏻
Sure, I will make a video of that.
Great video tutorial(s) PJ. Thanks. I am wondering what material and thickness you are using for the laser engraved face. Is it an anodized or coated aluminum?
very thin coat of anodized layer. I bought it on amazon.
Great !
Thanks!
Great work! Would you be able to do a more delailed vieo on like for example design the watch case? Thank you
The video will be too long for youtube. I may publish a mini-course later for detail on every single step.
@@PJChenJewelryDesign that would be awesome. Thank you
Where did you get the dimensions?
dimensions of what part?
@@PJChenJewelryDesign the dimension of the movement or rather the required inner dimensions for the movement case
