flip down port is for an rj45 cable obviously not a network "card". While socket does not need to have the flap it would spoil the edge shape on the side. If the socket was flush you would have trouble taking th back off the machine for memory upgrades. This model has a M2 SSD by Liteon inside 500Mb/s read 300Mb/s write according to liteon's specs. NO internal SATA only the M2 slot. 2 memory slots inside 1 used by the 4GB standard RAM.
its an i5 6th gen 6200u ultra low voltage so nowhere near as fast as a desktop i5 processor but with the ssd makes a great portable. HD520 graphics so can even play stuff like world of tanks/warships ok.
