I’m two months away from graduation and this video is so true. RT school can really suck sometimes, but I believe we have a lot of control over how much it sucks 🤷🏼♀️ I know for me it sucks a lot less when you put in that extra work and push through the exhaustion. Thanks for the continued advice and inspiration for us struggling RT students.
It definitely makes a difference! It us also hard to put in all those hours but it is worth it once you're done! Good luck, you are almost done! Thanks for watching ❤
Thank you for encouraging words!! I’m 2 months in and at times it can be a bit discouraging...Going to learn from my bad grades this is just the beginning! Thank you!
Thank You SO much for posting these videos! I have 23 months before my RT program and I am getting So excited. I think I have just about watched all of your videos. You give so much good information and I cannot thank you enough. I was wondering if you could do a video on the types of things you did in RT school to study. With the program being just around the coner for me I am going everywhere to get tips on efficiant ways to instill information I need to know. I kind of floated through all of my classes but now that I am in my science classes and I am getting closer, I am trying to develope good study habits, Im pretty much trying to learn the way I study now so I wont panic the first week of RT. I know i wont have time to go through trying to find what workes best for me then so I wanna get it down pact now. Thank you again!
Congrats on being so close! I've posted a few videos about different ways I studied but I can see about putting it all into one video to make it easier. Thanks for watching and good luck!
Yes that would be great if you could do that, and if not I’ll go and look them up, I know I’ve seen 1 or 2 already, after that I got a desk! Thank you thank you thank you!
Thank you so much for always providing such helpful information. I know you must have challenges as a new RRT in the working world. But keep up the great work, chin up, you got this! ❤
Hello, I've really appreciated a lot of your videos. I'm 27 years old and I'll be starting my Respiratory Therapy program in January 2019 at California College San Diego. Given that I have a little over 3 months before the program begins, what should I be studying to get a head start? I've added a lot of playlists from topics including anatomy/physiology and cardiopulmonary pharmacology to basic algebra and chemistry, just to name several courses from the program. I want to start training my mind on these topics so I don't feel totally overwhelmed to begin with. I'd appreciate the feedback, thank you!
Congratulations on getting into the program!! Reviewing cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology is a great place to start. If you want you could also start familiarizing yourself with common medical terminology prefixes and suffixes. Good luck! Try to find skin e time to relax somewhere!
Breathe Easy I do feel I know anatomy and physiology with medical terms but I feel comfortable thinking Of respiratory therapy. I was thinking to go for LVN but I just like the idea of RT. I just want to learn injections, too.
I'm considering attending RT school, I'm currently a CMA and want to be able to obtain a bachelors at an accredited trade school so that once I turn 30 I can have an amazing job and education.
That's great! Make sure you check out www.coarc.com to see if the school you want to attend is accredited. Good luck and feel free to reach out if you need anything!
Breathe Easy oh yes, just double checked and platt college is definitely on the list. Do you feel as though going straight to receive a bachelors is best? Or can you start working with associates?
Thank you for your true and inspiring perspectives. My teachers are amazing at delivery respiratory care knowledge . I wish after another quarter or so, I can perfect my study style, schedule and learn so I can intake and pertain that knowledge better. Btw, what do you think about group study? My teachers highly recommend it but I’m so used to study by myself and somewhat of an introvert I’m afraid to study w other classmates
Aww thank you Vanessa 🤗 Study groups depend on each person. They are a nice way to switch up study habits but you have to be careful not to spend more time messing around than studying. I say give it a try at least once. It might surprise you!

You have to be smart for this I thought I can handle this and I was wrong so I’m switching to Business instead

What are the hardest classes for most people?
A lot of people have trouble with pharmacology and mechanical ventilation. It is different for everyone though.
I started the RT program August and I agree pharmacology and mechanical ventilation is very hard.
I find AP is hard
I'm in Rt school and Cardiopulmonary AP is very hard for me
Equations are the worst 😭
If you don’t mind me asking how old you were when you when to school to become a RT.
I was 26 when I started.
Yes it sucks
That was fast! lol
