    who would have thought they'd look significantly worse when you bleach bypass a film that already looks deathly yellow.
    Absolutely going to try it though lol

    been binge watching your channel for the past few months, i am so surprised that you have such small numbers, outside of the personality, you're the guy that everyone leans to when they have a crazy dumb idea that they don't wanna do because it's expensive. developing in undiluted rodinal was a blast lmao, beautiful channel really

    Wait what if you used B&W Reversal Bleach instead of E-6 bleach? Then the slides would have the B&W positive along with the Color positive.

  • @mohanjanisthere
    @mohanjanisthere 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I think that you could actually bleach bypass slide film, you would just need to develop it in a certain way.
    When I develop slide film, I do things a bit different. Since I don't have proper E6 chems, I usually just develop the slides in Xtol stock or rodinal 1+25 for 10-12 minutes first, then stopbath, then I expose the film to light and do normal C-41 (btw, the black and white developer needs to be as warm as the C-41 chemistry). You could bleach the film before doing the C-41 development, and then bleach bypass it in the C-41 development, since the inverse silver should be removed. i say should because i haven't tried this yet.

  • @Danilixo10

    This has got me thinking, since bleach bypassing doesn't work with E6 because the bleach is used to remove a layer, what if you cross processed C41 in E6 but bleach bypassed? Would that result in a bleach bypassed color positive or would it also end up coming out blank?

    • @atticdarkroom
      @atticdarkroom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'm not 100% on this, but my understanding is the E6 process is the thing that's causing the issues, not the film. So my assumption is that if C41 was cross processed in E6 and bleach bypassed, it would look similar to the bleach bypassed E6, just a dense layer of silver.
      But now you mention it, it would be worth trying, and I wonder what E6 film looks like if it's cross processed and bleach bypassed.

  • @photonforager

    Hey! I have some infrared film, but don't have E-4 chemistry. Think trying to develop in E-6 would work? (Both start with E?)

    • @atticdarkroom
      @atticdarkroom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm pretty sure E4 is designed for lower temp development, plus a different set of chemistry. I think it'll be ruined if you straight up developed it in E6, but you might be able to mess around with the temperature and get results.
      Take that with a grain of salt, I haven't tried it myself and I'm just passing along info someone told me a long time ago.

    ayo would tetrachroming (RGB, and no filter) an image create a bleach bypassed look?

    • @atticdarkroom
