Flash flooding in northern Minnesota has raised all river levels from the Canadian border all the way to Mankato and Northfield, Minnesota. I ventured out to the south side of Duluth towards Jay Cooke State Park to capture a rare summer event that didn't disappoint. The power of water is absolutely amazing!

Because of all the particulate Hunga Tonga pumped into the atmosphere/stratosphere, I'm guessing it's also to blame for the temperature spikes over the past year or so

I went up to the headwaters of the st louis river;unbelievable how thst small river has turned into a raging torrent..At skibo mill the river was up to the parking lot. At norway pt the river is also at the parking lot. Wild!!!!!

The recent flash flooding we've had has made ppl disbelieve the run off. Rivers and Lakes are higher than in the spring with snow melt. They're watching online vs seeing it in person.

My mother used to get on me about ice skating on lakes when i was a kid. Until, that is, her sister told us kids that my mom would skate on the St. Louis River by Aloise, where she grew up. Those hardy Belgians, I tell ya.

There's no ice skating here, or kayaking. Anyone would definitely die.

Gov Walz wants to replace them all with Windmills. Why did the failed damn not have a wire maintenance like these to catch logs from the farmers floating and stopping the water from topping the dam????

@@tonecoughlinphotography The failure of government to handle maintenance of any floating debris is demonstrated by your pictures where a WIRE Cable catches the logs and debris prior to hitting the dams.. Nice pictures.

@@patmcdonald766 the government isn't responsible for maintaining our hydroelectric dams that's done by the owners Minnesota Power.
