I honestly use both, and I can not choose one over the other. My everyday use, they both have pros and cons. The imessage excuse is just an excuse. imessage does nothing any different than change bubble color. To me, Apple is more like a fashion statement to most in the U.S. They use apple because thats what is in style. If famous people were all to start using Android, then you would see a lot of U.S. people using Android. At the end of the day, in my opinion, it boils down to preference.
I agree 100%. Most people buy Apple because of the name. Some people don't buy Android because when they hear one person say something bad about an Android then they all Android phones are bad. Little do they know, it's thousands Android brands from government phones to top notch Android.
In my opinion, and this is coming from someone who actually sells these phones to the public. The only reason why people really stick to Apple is two things, iMessage, & the stupid belief that the iPhone is way more easier to use than android.
Samsung has more to offer then Apple, but Apple feels more premium then Samsung. Like the material, front and back glass, round edges, logo, interface, security, battery and face-id are important to me. I miss this with my current S23 Ultra.
just went from iphone x to z fold 4. Everything else tech wise in Apple, but still loving the change. the customisations and apk's r just a god send for me
Pricing is a huge factor, consumers are paying a premium price for a fancy camera and iMessage where android premium price tags are actually justified being so feature packed
No. Apple is cheaper. Androids last about 2.2 years before replacement, iPhones about 7.5 years before replacement. It means you're replacing an Android 3.4 times more often on average. So, I hate to break it to you, but if you pay 50% more for an iPhone, your total cost of ownership comes in at about half the cost of Android. This is without counting how much your time may be valuable to you. Replacing a phone and reloading it and all that stuff, over a 7 year period, it adds up to a few days worth of time lost. If time is valuable to you, several days of your life has to be added to the cost of Android ownership as well.
@freecivweb4160 thats not necessarily true. With some flagship samsung phones they now supports about 5 to 6 years of updates on their devices as well as Google phones So you end up paying about 1,000 for a more featured pack device that let's you do way more than apple, I much rather have a galaxy than an iPhone but to each their own, customization is a satisfying thing. I much rather spend a premium price for something I can get the most out of, plus samsung cloud offers seamless transfer of data, so you won't spend days transferring data
@@TopEntertainmentNation name a Samsung phone that got 5-6 years os OS updates. You don't even get 5-6 years of security updates. Till now the norm would be 2 years max for a Samsung flagship, 1 year for the rest of the line. iPhone 6s launched with iOS 9. Got to iOS 15 and that was Apple support in 2015.
Honestly, genuinely, someone can explain to me how an iPhone is easier to use than an Android 🤔 For me (and the majority of my entourage), the fact of not having a universal back button and a real file manager is already too complex, incongruous 🤷🏽♂️ 7-8 years ago you could have talked about application optimization, now it's 2023. And regarding updates, I'd rather have an Android with Android 6-7 on which I can use all the apps than have an iPhone with iOS 13-14 on which WhatsApp and others do not work. And regarding the ecosystem Samsung and Huawei do the same, and Samsung's ecosystem is much broader than Apple's without being a jail. The day, iOS will have a universal back button, and a real file manager, we can open a debate. 🙏🏽
There's so many more features that android offers too. Android simplifies steps and reduced steps. Apple adds them and makes things harder and doesn't innovate at all. There is no genuine explanation. I've asked that question all over these videos hoping to get a response and I've got none thus far.
iPhone smashes Android in ease of use. It's not even close. I've had both for years. Android is always changing the UX and menu functionality. With iPhone you become a master in a year or two and then continue to be so, year after year. If I want to take a text message on my computer, it's maybe 15 minutes setting that up on Android. On iPhone it's literally 0 seconds of setup, IT JUST WORKS. If I'm watching a youtube video on my computer, and later want to show it to a friend at their house, I just pull out the iPhone and it's just right there to show. Automagically. If I'm listening to music on my airpods and move over to somewhere else, it's seamless, I just automagically start listening on the new device, be it computer, home speaker, tablet, laptop, TV, whatever. I can't finish the list of ways because it's literally 200 more things like this that are just WAY easier and more convenient on iPhone. The reason I keep an Android is I can just make my own apps for super specialized technical things. For anything else, I can't see why a normal person would want an Android. The total cost of ownership for Android is double because the iPhone lasts about three times longer. It only SEEMS more expensive when you're buying it. But at the time you're replacing your Android, on Apple you're about a year away from doing a $79 battery replacement and then going another 2-3 years.
Honestly, I'd argue pixel is easier to use than iPhone. My grandma switched from iPhone to Pixel and seems to understand it a lot better. No more questions about how to use her phone:) Especially since all the Google features are built in and you don't need to download Gmail or chrome or TH-cam or drive or docs. It's just built in and ready to use.
For apps you shld include the fact that we can install apks and modded versions of apps on Android which are way better than the native apps on iOS or android
I'd leave it with the FACTS that yes you can do side-loaded apk's and even your own apk's. (I'm a developer.) The part about it being WAY better, however, is subjective, not factual. For most apps, developers spend most of their time customizing and optimizing for iPhone, then do a quick translation for Android that performs much worse, if I may be honest. For your average person using a normal repertoir of only 15 to 50 different apps, almost all those apps are going to be "way better" on iOS. If you're a developer like me, the ability to make your own apk and sideload it is a huge benefit. But being 💯% honest about it, I'm like a 1%er. For 99% of people, the iPhone apps are going to be far superior, more optimized, better experience, better quality, and easier to use.
@@Äpple-pie-5k yeah perhaps they're not way better, defo better in some areas tho, but a lot of people have modded apps and made it available for the public,
I have both apple and android. iPhone 14 pm, iPad m1 12.9, iPad mini 6, apple watch ultra, pixel 7 pro, fold 4, tab s8 ultra and watch 6 classic 47mm. I have all of these devices currently. I love them all except pixel 7 pro. I just couldn’t love it, like I do my other devices. Had the pixel watch and sent it back because it was too small. If it wasn’t for my family having apple devices I’d probably wouldn’t have it as my primary devices.
You guys seems to not understand how android app development works, you absolutely do not need to develop for individual type and sizes of android. If you use the right constraints and layouts, the android IDE does that in the background and you have the opportunity to check how it would look in each format of android. Additionally most of these apps that are better on ios are American and because their market base is mostly ios, it makes sense that they start with that first. In other markets though, that's a different story
The Samsung Galaxy SII has an Android 13 rom available for it, that's eleven years of software support. Sure that's not all from Samsung but it's there. The iPhone of the time, the 4s, is stuck on iOS 9 which was released in 2015. I know a lot of people wouldn't want to mess around with custom roms and would find buying a new phone to be far easier, but it's an option that should be presented when doing iPhone vs Android videos, as it actually gives the edge in software support to the Android side of things. Ecosystem wise I find the Android side of things to be better but not because of the integration, simply because it will work on both. For example I have a Galaxy Watch and I can use it on Android or iOS. My friend can't use his Apple Watch on Android though, which limits his future options because if he wanted a Android phone he's have to buy a new smart watch as well.
In all of these except for ecosystem, my preference leans towards Android. Yes, even ease of use. I like having that universal back gesture and typing on an iPhone makes me want to throw it out the window. Not even SwiftKey or Gboard fully fixes things. Besides their iOS versions being worse than their Android versions, iPhones still revert to the stock keyboard for certain things like entering passwords. The iOS calculator sucks too compared to even the Google's very basic one, let alone Samsung or Xiaomi's. As for ecosystem, I have that very low on my list of priorities. I actively try to avoid being locked into any one company's ecosystem. I have an S23 Ultra and Tab S9 but I also have a Lenovo tablet. I have a Pixel Fold and Pixel Watch but only because it came included. I would otherwise have been fine with my Fitbit. And before that, I used a Surface Duo 2.
No one ever talks about the keyboard, but it's absolute trash on the iPhone. My symbols, numbers and letters are all on one page, I don't need to toggle through multiple pages while texting. Jesus that would drive me nuts. Everything is just so much quicker and easier to use on android. I don't get how users of both could disagree with that.
You came from Android and went to iPhone but your mind was stuck in Android-world. Going back is much EASIER and superior on iPhone. 1. Simply use your thumb and swipe left from anywhere. Far easier to do than adjusting your grip and looking for that tiny back button that is stealing your screen real estate and making your Display smaller than it really is. 2. Simply press and HOLD the "< Back" button in the top left, and choose how many levels you want to go back. 2? 5? Deep in a menu system and want to go back 10? No problem. Press and hold and pick from the menu of exactly what point you want to go back to. An absolute powerhouse slaughter that puts Android to shame. Bottom line: iPhone gets a "bigger" screen because not losing screen real esatate to tiny buttons, you can literally go back one handed even if you're a BLIND person. In addition, go back as many levels as you want with only one interaction, instead of having a jazzled frustrated face of someone staring too close at their phone while they hunt and peck for pressing the back button multiple times and figuring out how many levels back they want to go. For keyboards, I can't argue about what is obviously subjective preference. I tend to favour whichever one I'm used to and get frustrated by whichever one I'm not used to. This is probably what's happening for you. Both phones allow you to swap out multiple keyboard types so it's hardly an issue. Funny thing is, after a year or so I finally got rid of third party keyboards and went stock, because I realized it actually has more convenient features I use more often. Any keyboard is a bit of a learning curve and especially the stock Apple keyboard. But after you master it, I honestly think it's simply better than all the other third party keyboards and stock Android keyboard also.
I'm not really sure about the ease of use category. I have both Apple and Google and I think Google is just as easy to use as Apple. Particularly once you have your Google device set up the way you want it. I rarely ever change anything on my Google phone after the initial setup.
I can agree that of all the Android platforms Google’s is by far the easiest. Which is why in the video I focused on Samsung mostly for the complex argument
They both have their pros & cons. I have TONS of Androids from the G1 to the Note 20. Went to the Apple side ‘22 & it’s been dope. Love beta testing, great customer support, the community, video quality
Customer support is unmatched. I used an iPhone for like a month and have apple music on my Galaxy and they worked with me for 45min to figure out how to get me back in my account on my android phone. Went through 3 people and the last guy kept calling me back.
I love but also absolutely hate that a lot of apple’s strength is in their locked ecosystem. Like if you ONLY have an iPhone you’re missing a huge chunk of the experience. For me the only reason why I use an iPhone is because of the “it works smoothly 100% of the time” factor. Every other aspect I like android more but in the end, I’d rather own a plain car that I know will work every time I turn it on vs a super car that won’t
Excellent description of someone who uses Apple and why we stay. Android phones are very enticing but there’s always something messing up and you have to clear cache and or reset phone. I’ve literally reset my iPhone maybe 2x this whole year. Also Apple is just super convenient when it comes to the ecosystem
Between my lg v30, s10+, s21u and s24u I don't hardly ever restart my phone or clear the cach. I've actually never cleared cache in any of them. It runs smoothe and always works. I feel apple is just not user friendly and adds extra steps everywhere.
@camonly849 "Between my lg v30, s10+, s21u and s24u I don't hardly ever restart my phone or clear the cach. I've actually never cleared cache in any of them." Yep. It's insane how Apple fans seem to think like Android is one giant monolith, like it's a single phone rather than an operating system used by countless different companies producing different phones with vastly different specs.
I agreed with marques video but i know very few people who have the option to switch between phones. Typically there's one reason that gulfs everything else in why you used what you used. I know a number of people who have large families, including elderly, living off FaceTime and getting your entire family to switch to another video app is a bit unrealistic. Or, in my case, my main number is Google voice (for over a decade now) which only Android integrates properly so unless i want to give that up, it's not an option for it. I'm also a big fan of emulators which also aren't supported on ios. Some people are also forced to use one, usually ios, because of work.
I am curious what about Google voice, what doesn't integrate properly with iOS? What issues are you having? I use both and there hasn't been any issues I have seen with google voice
@@tamwilfred On Android, Google voice integrates into the operating system, you don't have to use an app to make or receive calls. Basically i make calls and receive calls on the phone and it doesn't show the carrier number at all, it uses Google voice number for everything (except texts, which do come through Google voice app unfortunately). I realize the Google voice support is better now on iPhone than it used to be, when i originally got Android it's because Google voice app wasn't allowed on iPhone and you had to jail break it to use it. anyway, yeah, the integration is a minor distinction but nice not to have to go into app to use Google voice if it's your primary number.
@@brianv2871 Thanks for the info. I use so many devices and I am in the middle of trying different carriers that haven't notice much of a difference. Maybe since I carry both Android and iPhone I use together, if something doesn't work well with one OS then I can just switch to the other device. Also I don't make that many phone calls.
I just tap the app on both Android and iOS to make the call. Receiving calls is no problem either. Android is better for emulators but here we're talking about something 99.999% of people don't use.
@@Äpple-pie-5k Yeah, you can make it work fine but if Google voice is your primary calling number (i don't even know what my cell number is), it's just better when it's part of the the OS so it's seamless without having to go into the Google voice app. But yeah, i agree that all the differentiating factors of each os are something 99% of the users don't use or care about. (emulators for Android or that satellite emergency thing for ios). These phones are all the same now, there's no real reason to change from what you're used to. As an aside, apple is now allowing emulators anyway, so that .01% will be happy 😁
I dont think it's fair to compare ecosystems switching between Google and Samsung to represent Android. It should be Google vs Apple or Apple vs Samsung. If comparing Apple and Samsungs ecosystems they are right on par with features and devices with samsung having even more devices like smart washers, dryers, vacuums, refrigerators, monitors, tvs, etc. Samsung destroys Apples ecosystem respectively. If you know you know.
Thing is, I have an iPhone and a Samsung washing machine. I download the smart things app from Samsung and their devices show up on the iPhone for me to control, so without buying a Samsung phone I can get into their ecosystem.
That was a great video. I appreciate your viewpoints, and you made a lot of sense with your takes. Thanks for taking the time to create a wonderful video.
Dumped my iphone for Samsung GS24plus. Not missing IOS with daycare attached. Apple has not innovated for the last 5 years. Hats off to Samsung for pushing ahead with foldable phones improving year over year, can't wait to see Samsung rollable tablets in the near future.
When I'm using iPhone all my apps are in the app library & when I'm using Samsung I have phone messages codm chrome & TH-cam on the bottom row & have other main apps in the app draw that slides from the side of the screen
Have both the 14pm and s23u, each have their pros and cons but both work perfectly as intended....like a cell phone communjcation device should, text, call, email sos lol. Most normal consumers dont even know a 3rd of what their phones real potential is. People just want a device that works and both companies do that very well.
question, since I see you responding to lots of comments (thank you for that btw you are at 99.9k subscribers as I speak right now) do you think that the dynamic island will ever be converted or apple will change it to a punchhole? because imo punchhole is so much more cleaner and takes less space than a gigantic notch
Honestly, I agree that most Android phones have awful update policies(looking at SONY), but because of Google my old Xperia XZ Premium is sill getting awesome features
Ease of use Apple? Are you insane? Doing stuff on iOS is sooooo more convoluted than Android by a lightyear..... If you want better productivity that isn't time consuming or takes 5x more steps to do the same thing or options iOS just straight can't do then you go Android. If you want a fashion accessory (which is fine) you go Apple. You pay more for less with Apple, it's always been that way for the last at least decade and it'll stay that way. The iPhone 15 is mostly the same as the 14 or 13 or even 12 really. Artificial restrictions and a new chipset is the only difference. You buy Apple simply for it being fashionable, you don't buy it for anything else, because objectively Android is just a superior product in general. You can do more, they have more options for phones, they have the best hardware (most of iPhones components come from other companies. Half your iPhone is made by Samsung), better features, more convenient to navigate and faster to do so. New development tools for Android actually makes development for apps easier on android than iOS. Android is constantly innovating and will always faster than Apple now, because there are FAR more manufacturers of android devices than Apple obviously. Apple devices for what they are are ALWAYS more expensive for what you get. Perfect example now is the OnePlus 12 for $799. (I know it wasn't out at the time of the video) This video is honestly kind of a wash. Anyone that is a semi heavy user will take Android over Apple any day of the week. It's simply easier to use, better features, better productivity, better screens, better third party options (apple can't do APK) I've given Apple fair shots, I can't do it, they are so irritating to try and use it's unbelievable. You are the delusional one, and clearly biased. I've tried Samsung, Apple, Google, OnePlus, Asus phones. The only one I can not stand to use is Apple. It's NOT convenient to use, it lacks important features I use DAILY, that are basic af like simple navigations just for going backwards in an app. Apple is just straight up behind by years in the software and QOL useability. This again is unsurprising since 80% of the planet uses Android devices and there are far more manufacturers because Google doesn't charge for Android OS, so you get far more resources poured into it than a single company can manage. If you're a casual scroller iPhone is fine for you, but you're paying top dollar to do the bare minimum so it still makes no sense, especially since the last 4 years the iPhones have been practically identical besides cpu, but if you're a casual user you won't even notice that. If you're a power user, you just don't go Apple. They are just straight up missing FAR too many things.
Idk if you write back. But one thing I hear you guys say is Apple easy I use iPhones and Apple but to give a old person an iPhone everytime I have they don’t think it’s easy and get lost cuz of the swipe gestures vs android you can turn on the back buttons so maybe my debate can hang if you get what I’m saying
@@CJKnowsTECH I do get it tho I went from iPhone to android to back to iPhone …..but when they say elders anything touch screen is hard for them Lol we would be lucky I’f she answered our calls have a great day enjoy the vids
This year I'm living up to my promise. I said whenever iPhone switches to usb c i would get one. So I'll be getting an iPhone pro max 15 with my upgrade 🙄. I'll miss my S22 ultra 😭. Hell i probably keep it too 😂
I can see plenty of reasons one would switch to iphone, but usb c seems like an odd reason... don't get me wrong, it's nice to have one cable but man, even using just Android devices, i have at least two or three different usb cable devices so one extra lighting cable hardly matters (especially since they make 2-3 in 1 cables anyway). I'm sure apple will cripple usb-c anyway and it'll still be slow charging, etc. 😀
The point about the price was dealt with poorly. It was never about the fact that iPhones are expensive period. It's about the fact that they're OVERpriced, i.e. you pay way more for less value. You're not getting what you paid for. Sure Samsung flagships are by far the most expensive but they come packed full of every feature conceivable to give you the ultimate flagship experience for the time with the best of the best, something Apple falls way short of. I always find it funny when Apple fanboys taunt Android user for being "poor", implying that expensive Android phones don't exist. They do, it's just that we mostly get what we pay for, and if that's overpriced, we look for something that is not, whereas iPhone fans are stuck with whatever Apple throws at them.
I don't know what referring to about the pricing of Android and Apple. If you do an apples-to-apples comparison then the phones are the same price. The release price of the S23 ultra is $1,199 and the iPhone Pro Max 15 is $1,199. The only Android phones that are more expensive are foldable phones. I would consider that a different class. If Apple had a foldable phone then it would be the same price too. Off the top of my head the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the iPhone 13 Pro Max were $1,099 but the base storage was only 128GB
CJ, this was a very constructive and well-presented video. I've been blessed to purchase various devices from both platforms and switch them up from month to month. I use my Samsung device more, but I greatly appreciate and enjoy using Apple products. However, my wife uses only 🍎, lol. Keep up the great work, and be blessed!
Same here. Currently using my s23u about to sell my 14pm and awaiting my usb c on the 15pm. But both of these companies need to exist and co exist to push each other to make a better product.
Thanks for a mostly fair review, but price advantage clearly goes to Android. There are many more budget and value phones on Android. And this is why I stay with Android.
Only iPhone I ever had was the 5S, it was ok but I didnt have much else in the ecosystem at the time. Now Im on a s23 ultra but I have a Macbook and iPad I use all the time, Im considering switching to iPhone again now that theyre finally going USB-C. There really isnt much special to Android that I use, and I think Ill prefer the convenience of an iPhone now. I was using and Android tablet for a bit too and I have found there is features that Apple and Android share that I never used but I find I use more now that I am back to an iPad, it just feels like its much easier to use them.
I don't have the funds or enough time to invest in both iOS and Android to serve my addiction for innovative technology fix... And why should I? My virtual circle of friends isn't necessary to be actively engaged to be bothered with as it's self-defeating and confusing (especially from a business standpoint).
i love pixel software better, i also prefer the form factor, BUT the refined use of the samsung is what did it for me in the end, also my pixel was scratching its own hinge and it pushed me to wait till next year. overall the samsung is fire except the form factor. lvoe the vids man, keep em up brotha, who knows i might wait till the pixel drops in price and buy one straight out. @@CJKnowsTECH
Thanks for sharing. Both Apple and Android are pushing each other so that's a win for us. I'm in both ecosystems. It's all about which categories the user prioritizes. These days I'm more into Samsung/Android because of the innovation-excitement of usability. However - there's no denying Apple is great too. I use the following - iPad Pro m2 12.9", apple watch ultra, airpods pro 2, iphone 12 pro max | Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 ultra, Galaxy watch 6 classic, Z Fold 4. I didn't like the Buds 2 pro so I use Sony xm5 or airpods pro 2 for listening.
Definitely have to say he's right about that What push me into Android is because I have a bunch of Alexa enabled devices and they just work so much better with Android versus what I try to use my wife's iPhone to set it all up... Because as you know Amazon bases all their stuff in Linux and that's what Android uses as a base code so of course it's going to work better with Android...
@@A_Well_Traveled_Man I dabbled into some of the smart home stuff. Overall it seems like there are more devices that are compatible with Android compared to Apple. Their ecosystem is so closed off that you need only the limited Apple-backed products to use their Home app.
Always make me smile those bubble color video. I have no clue which is which and my wife, sporting a iPhone 13 Pro Max even less. Thatbis soooooo an American thing.
Got my first iphone a week ago 15 pro. Tbh iOS is more feature rich (minus customisation) and everything blends together much smoothly. The animations, the app quality and the general smoothness. The speed of opening apps is the same as android, so performance isn’t really an issue on either platform. (My last phone being nothing phone 2 which was the pinnacle of smoothness as well as speed on the android side, believe me, try it and every phone upto the galaxy s23 ultra will feel slower).
I have the iPhone 14 PM as my main with the OnePlue 9 pro as my Android backup (never used it) ... traded the OP9Pro for the zflip5.... bro!!! BROO!!! I can't put it down. It even runs diablo immortal better than 14PM.. I can do work more fluidly. I'm stuck with Apple because of the apple watch and Airpod Pro 2 but I still can't put down the Flip5 😂
Just a heads up... If you cram more words into a sentence, it doesn't make you sound smarter. Just talk the way you would normally talk in your everyday life. It's kind of like IOS. How many buttons can I make the user have to press to complete the most basic task? Less is more. Keep doing your thing 🐑
I'm from Portugal, here android is king. I have to say that you touch good points on apple, but In my opinion freedom is All, so Android all the way! Good video!
Haven't used an iphone since the 5, and haven't missed it but I understand why folks like them, I 'm just not one of them. Gave 5 to my dtr and she rocks with Apple to this day!
I've been using both systems as well but im sorry bro samsung smartthings is out of this world. apple doesn't come close to system from TV to vacuum, dishwasher refrigerator so on so on
I just bought a new Samsung dryer to experience smart things but for some reason it won't connect at all which was disappointing because I want to see what they "hype" is about
You're not gonna really get much out of a washer And dryer smartthings Come best when cameras for your house. your TV's connected without you. Having to buy a separate device for each TV, the dishwasher if you got levels of upstairs and downstairs, when you forget to turn it on the vacuum mop. I really brought all this stuff within the pass 2 years for my own laziness and my wife wanting me to help her with stuff around the house now everything is at the push of a button in my house My back door my alarm system. It's, it's really sick. Bro I find myself using my samsung phone more
I had the first IPhone and I had the first android. T-mobile G1 and to this day I have an iPhone in 1 pocket and an android on the other. If I only could have only 1 it's android all day.
BTW, I like how you said at the end, what brings you the best user experience that goes for you as best user experience. Whether it's android or Ios or whatever else 😉 😎
I have to say that he's right it really depends on your lifestyle for me I have a bunch of Amazon based devices in my home and Amazon uses Android as their base and for work I use Microsoft Windows which Microsoft gives all their employees Android base devices which makes it kind of hard for me to be an Apple user in my life because almost everything I use is either linux-based or Microsoft base which is all the same coding....😅
To be honest, Apple's ecosystem is way more refined, Apple's is geared toward people who just use their phones. On the flip side android Is refining its ecosystem, but the real draw to Android is the amount of customization that you can do to your device, and you can really make your device your own with Android. I had to get a Apple IPhone 13 pro max beside so many people are in Apple's ecosystem. So I have a Z Fold 4, Z Flip 5, and a I Phone 13. At the end of the day their is not perfect device you what is best depends on how you use your device.
I had iphone since iphone 3gs and i went to android once the zfold 3 came out and not gonna lie i loved it for like 2months then i missed having a iPhone because i have ipads and macs
I’ve Used Both Android & IOS. Both Operating Systems Have Advantages & Disadvantages To The User Experiences. I Personally Use IOS Because Of It’s Conveniences To My Everyday Lifestyle. But, Some Of My Colleagues & Peers Use Android As Well. Either Way, Both Platforms Are Useful & Just As Good As The Other In 2023. It’s The Consumer That Wins No Matter Who Chooses Which Platform Is Chosen.💯
Great video. “Customization” is a plus for SOME people. Being able to drill down and design every aspect of my phone has NEVER been an appealing option to me. I’m not a tinkerer. I prefer to pay for time saved, convenience and design than do it myself. I know plenty people buy “unfinished furniture”, make their own curtains and change their own oil. I’ve always felt slightly offended by a company who expects me to pay top dollar and receive an unpolished, unpolished device and call that “freedom”.
I really don't care at all that I can change the icons, or that I can place thousands of backgrounds with AOD, or that I can create and use a selfmade screensaver .. Nice all those changes, but it only becomes more unclear and it draining up the battery much faster. Maybe it's a age thing, being cool at school. I don't know!
It really depends on what one calls customizations. If you're just talking icons, then yeah... but customizations could even be simple things like folders, background images, widgets (all customizations which iphone does support). Even originally, ios didn't have an app store, so customizing what apps you have on your phone could also be customizing. At the end of the day, there are tons of tweaks you can do (especially on Samsung devices) that you don't have to do, but may make life easier. For instance, i rearrange my quick tiles to have features i need quick access to, higher on the drop down but those might be different than someone else based on their usage. I also have routines set up, so when i get in my car, once it sees my Bluetooth, it automatically turns on my mobile hotspot and does a couple other things. I also customize select apps with different notification sounds so i know if something is important without picking my phone up. Some features you can't just make an executive decision for all your users but you need to allow them to customize for their lifestyle.
@@Tha-King-Arthurso you do not care about 120Hz screen? Wireless charging? Widgets? AOD? Swype keyboard?... The list can goes on and on. You do not care... but you upgrade your iPhone... to have the features that Android users enjoyed for years. Always make me laugh this argument.
Both are good. Ios fluidity rocks. Android features rock.... i'm team samsung eco system since I got my Neo QLED 8k tv and I hope One ui 6 will bring some smoothness improvements xD
After the MKBHD video i decided to say fuck it and went from the 14 pro to the pixel Fold. I am in the US so god i miss iMessage. But i am really loving the Pixel fold! Feels like an Iphone mini most of the timeand an ipad mini when i need it to be.
The best thing about Android is the innovation, Apple have been behind Android for years in innovations taking years to catch up, big screens, wallpaper background took years for Apple to have wallpaper backgrounds. years to have folders. Years to have widgets. I know I use to have Iphones. I had to jail break them to customize them.
Both produce beautiful devices. I'll try an iPhone some day, perhaps when my S23 Ultra packs in. I've always been intrigued with ios. The switch to usb-c will be brilliant for Apple , I can see a lot of defectors from Android happening because of this. I still say iphone has the best camera and video, being a photography buff I more than likely could make that switch. Brilliant upload CJ🙏🏻
Usbc and no fast charging, action button in the wrong spot, keyboard is terrible and have to swipe through multiple pages to use symbols and numbers....I hate it.
I love android don’t get me wrong. I was a dedicated Galaxy Note user for years after my iPhone uses. However until someone perfects the folding phone, I’m sticking with Apple. The S23 Ultra maybe the “new” Note but honestly until Samsung decides to bring back the Note Series, I’m staying Apple. I rocked my Note 10 Plus from release till 4 months ago when I purchased my 14 Pro Max. And I’ll probably carry it the same amount of time, if not longer.
Exactly. I could care less about the name. Also apparently the s24u will be flat with no more slight curve if that's what you were wanting. But we won't know for sure until Jan or February. I've both companies. And the s23u is far superior than any of my previous note devices.
To me, neither is the winner holistically because its all about your own preference. Those who love customization will go with Android, those who love simplicity, ease of use and optimization, they will stick with Apple. I have the S23 Ultra and 14 Pro, they both are nice and are used for different reasons throughout my day. I would say that when it comes to the accessories , Apple is still in the lead with the watch and Airpods. Keep up the great discussions CJ.
I think the best android phones arent even making it to the US anymore. I have two Xiaomi phones that are my favorites. Also i think the samsung ecosystems now rival apple. Lenovo has the thinkphone/thinkpad that is pure 🔥
CJ you said it best the toxicity and unnecessary hate over a cell phone. Roooooooooad to 100k brotha. And esp reviewers and owners not really experiencing the fullness of either company but bashijg it but only tried it for 2 weeks. Both are cell phones both take calls and texts and video. Smh. Its like yo did you get my call yeup what phone you using, samsung, nvm we cant talk lololol people come on now damn.
I have both...the 14 pro max and the P7 Pro as well. For me as far as smartphones go I will always prefer android over apple as apple is just reliably boring to use. Now as far as my computing needs...it will always be a Mac for me..I hate windows computers and have not used one in over 5 years for my personal use....for work, unfortunately I have no choice but to use a windows computer but I would never willfully go out and buy a windows computer for personal use...LOL
It comes down to this. You either pay more for less to fit in with your other non techy friends.. Or You get your moneys worth with and do anything you want with your phone. Its a fact that samsungs can do everything iphone does and more. Period. You guys stick with apple out of peer pressure like children
Or some people genuinely just like apple products the same way some just like Samsung & Android products. Yes some may choose out of "social pressures" but that's not ALL iPhone users😂
Its not easy though. Old people come in allll day with issuse. They never know their apple id which makes everything extremely difficult. Not the case with android
Well said... 💯💯💯💯💯

In my opinion, and this is coming from someone who actually sells these phones to the public. The only reason why people really stick to Apple is two things, iMessage, & the stupid belief that the iPhone is way more easier to use than android.
Everyone has an opinion. I’m an Apple user and I don’t fit either of your reasons.

Ty!
With some flagship samsung phones they now supports about 5 to 6 years of updates on their devices as well as Google phones
So you end up paying about 1,000 for a more featured pack device that let's you do way more than apple, I much rather have a galaxy than an iPhone but to each their own, customization is a satisfying thing.
Honestly, genuinely, someone can explain to me how an iPhone is easier to use than an Android 🤔
For me (and the majority of my entourage), the fact of not having a universal back button and a real file manager is already too complex, incongruous 🤷🏽♂️
7-8 years ago you could have talked about application optimization, now it's 2023.
Application optimisation is still an issue, especially for mobile gamers
Honestly, I'd argue pixel is easier to use than iPhone. My grandma switched from iPhone to Pixel and seems to understand it a lot better. No more questions about how to use her phone:) Especially since all the Google features are built in and you don't need to download Gmail or chrome or TH-cam or drive or docs. It's just built in and ready to use.
For apps you shld include the fact that we can install apks and modded versions of apps on Android which are way better than the native apps on iOS or android
Fr like you can get spotify premium for free but phones have better optimized apps like social media apps.

I feel the same exact way!
I was more or less reference the different internal hardware and chipset builds but fair…
They all regurgitate the same bs from years ago
Notify GANG, I love both platforms. You always bring insightful contents CJ.
"relax samsung.... Put your swords away" 😂😂😂😂
They both have their pros & cons. I have TONS of Androids from the G1 to the Note 20. Went to the Apple side ‘22 & it’s been dope. Love beta testing, great customer support, the community, video quality
Nice glad to see you respect both
Customer support is unmatched. I used an iPhone for like a month and have apple music on my Galaxy and they worked with me for 45min to figure out how to get me back in my account on my android phone. Went through 3 people and the last guy kept calling me back.
Bro no one needs to customize every single thing on a phone 💀, just admit that you are a nerd.
That's an elderly person take...
It runs smoothly since not doing anything. I have pixel 8pro is way more smoother than my wife's apple phone period.
I've actually never cleared cache in any of them."
Yep.

Dope video bro, we gotta get you to 💯 k now 🙏🏽

Apple has the smoothest ecosystem because there's zero features! 😆 They also aggressively kill everything in the background.
Yeah, apple supports for longer but slows the iphone and kills your battery so that you switch to the newest model 🤔 yeah...longevity

Nice glad you're liking it. It's cool to switch it up every now and then
Ease of use Apple?
📠
Ease of use will always be a Pixel device. It's too many cumbersome unwanted steps to do basic tasks on an iPhone.

This year I'm living up to my promise. I said whenever iPhone switches to usb c i would get one. So I'll be getting an iPhone pro max 15 with my upgrade 🙄. I'll miss my S22 ultra 😭. Hell i probably keep it too 😂
Sometimes it's good to hold on to something more familiar if you can just in case
You'll be pleasantly surprised to find that when you get used to iOS, its all the same.
Why's everyone doing these iPhone vs Android videos at the same time
Honestly I’ve been off TH-cam all week on business travel only saw Marques video, so idk
Copycats and view chasers. MBKHD kicked it off.
i have both apple/samsung products. i like both.
Same
The point about the price was dealt with poorly.
Great talk, but where did you get that shirt 🤣
From Pacsun awhile ago
I don't know what referring to about the pricing of Android and Apple. If you do an apples-to-apples comparison then the phones are the same price. The release price of the S23 ultra is $1,199 and the iPhone Pro Max 15 is $1,199. The only Android phones that are more expensive are foldable phones. I would consider that a different class. If Apple had a foldable phone then it would be the same price too. Off the top of my head the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the iPhone 13 Pro Max were $1,099 but the base storage was only 128GB
Drag and drop with signature reply is a deal breaker for me and not sure why android is failing to do so
Your exactly the same I switch and use both and like them both for different reasons
Respect!
Same here. Currently using my s23u about to sell my 14pm and awaiting my usb c on the 15pm. But both of these companies need to exist and co exist to push each other to make a better product.
Nice I like when you explain the mentalts of People and there way of acting because of there loyalty to a certain Brands. Love your videos👍
Thanks, Respect
Thanks for a mostly fair review, but price advantage clearly goes to Android. There are many more budget and value phones on Android. And this is why I stay with Android.
Respect
I use and love both for different reasons
Same
Thanks for the non-bias review, enjoyed from start to finish.
Respect. I got y’all
Only iPhone I ever had was the 5S, it was ok but I didnt have much else in the ecosystem at the time.
After watching your videos, I swapped my pixel fold for the samsumg fold 5 😂, next year, I'll go with the pixel fold 2
How you like the Fold 5?
i love pixel software better, i also prefer the form factor, BUT the refined use of the samsung is what did it for me in the end, also my pixel was scratching its own hinge and it pushed me to wait till next year. overall the samsung is fire except the form factor. lvoe the vids man, keep em up brotha, who knows i might wait till the pixel drops in price and buy one straight out. @@CJKnowsTECH
Thank you for this video. Basically you are pointing out the greatness in both in the end.
Both sides deserve it. Respect
@@CJKnowsTECH facts. Like you I use both and while I like the iPhone more as yourself I love android more everyday as well.
Respect!
Got my first iphone a week ago
15 pro.
Tbh
iOS is more feature rich (minus customisation) and everything blends together much smoothly.
Good video!
I definitely have one of each. They both have things that i need in a phone creatively
Right
Haven't used an iphone since the 5, and haven't missed it but I understand why folks like them, I 'm just not one of them.
Bro I find myself using my samsung phone more
I have a note 10 plus and should I buy the iPhone 15 plus or 15 pro max or should I wait for the iPhone 16's? Because they might be more expensive.
Always go for pro or pro max variation. For better refresh rate
I had the first IPhone and I had the first android. T-mobile G1 and to this day I have an iPhone in 1 pocket and an android on the other. If I only could have only 1 it's android all day.
Respect
BTW, I like how you said at the end, what brings you the best user experience that goes for you as best user experience. Whether it's android or Ios or whatever else 😉 😎
I have to say that he's right it really depends on your lifestyle for me I have a bunch of Amazon based devices in my home and Amazon uses Android as their base and for work I use Microsoft Windows which Microsoft gives all their employees Android base devices which makes it kind of hard for me to be an Apple user in my life because almost everything I use is either linux-based or Microsoft base which is all the same coding....😅
Wow ! I feel the same way about apple and android . Love for both 😊
Exactly!
At the end of the day their is not perfect device you what is best depends on how you use your device.
wow this vid is actually🔥🔥🔥
Right
Great video.
So you prefer Android?
@@Tha-King-Arthurso you do not care about 120Hz screen? Wireless charging? Widgets? AOD? Swype keyboard?... The list can goes on and on. You do not care... but you upgrade your iPhone... to have the features that Android users enjoyed for years. Always make me laugh this argument.
@@jeanbaptistelabelle Iphone and Samsung having both these options, so i dont understand your question.
Wish TH-camrs would be honest and say they prefer iOS. Hard to deny when all praise Android devices while wearing the Apple Watch Ultra
I never hide my preference my audience knows and it’s clearly stated in the video
Ending song?
Both are good. Ios fluidity rocks. Android features rock.... i'm team samsung eco system since I got my Neo QLED 8k tv and I hope One ui 6 will bring some smoothness improvements xD

Enjoying the intro
After the MKBHD video i decided to say fuck it and went from the 14 pro to the pixel Fold. I am in the US so god i miss iMessage. But i am really loving the Pixel fold! Feels like an Iphone mini most of the timeand an ipad mini when i need it to be.
Pixel Fold is one of my favorites this year so far. And yes iMessage is something to miss😂. Glad your enjoying your tech
Theres only 2 seasons in the tech radar,..Samsung season & Apple season,...pixel nem is just a by the way, IYKYK. ✌🏽😎🔥😂
😂 y'all wild
Thanks for sharing.
Usbc and no fast charging, action button in the wrong spot, keyboard is terrible and have to swipe through multiple pages to use symbols and numbers....I hate it.
I have a s24 ultra, with an Apple TV and the max air pods, with a google home. Lmao I just be picking what's nice lmaoo
What do you expect from a Note that a Ultra does not have beside the name???
Exactly. I could care less about the name. Also apparently the s24u will be flat with no more slight curve if that's what you were wanting. But we won't know for sure until Jan or February. I've both companies. And the s23u is far superior than any of my previous note devices.
@@jeanbaptistelabelleExactly, I was going to say the same thing. The only difference is Name….
I got an iPhone 14 pro..... sh1t is a disappointment.
Respect
Super fast and easy tutorial
It comes down to this.
You either pay more for less to fit in with your other non techy friends..
Or
You get your moneys worth with and do anything you want with your phone.
Apple doesn't increase prices because they're just re-releasing the same phone year after year. 😆 Tell me I'm wrong!
What device are you using with that watch? And you know this!
apple season is upon us. When is Android season?
Lol Android season is multiple times a year
February and August. IYKYK
