Very useful. Should also know that the bolt on the bottom of the carb can be removed. The bell at the bottom can be removed and cleaned with carb cleaner. The jet can also be cleaned with carb cleaner. Then all can be reinstalled. This worked for me and prevented the need for a replacement carburetor. Thanks for the video
Hi seen your post, can you tell me is there enough room to get to the jets without loosening the carburetor mounting bolts. My generator only runs on choke, so I'm thinking, maybe one of the jets are clogged. Any help would be appreciated.
Just purchased one of these Canadian model 2000 watt duel fuel inverter generators and it is a fantastic addition to my RV and home backup power strategy. I even bought the ParaLink parallel accessory for connecting two similar-sized generators and a looking forward to my next purchase of a second generator to double my power generating capacity. GREAT work Champion! Love the ease of use and quality of the product.
This is a good clear video, the dialogue is very easy and understandable. I've got a 2500 dual fuel Champion generator a brand new carburetor for it, I think that when I was changing the oil I tilted it too far. I change the oil and check the spark plug after it had ran out of gas. Now the carburetor flooding the carburetor bowl and stalls out the engine. Champion sent me a new carburetor free. The generators only 6 months old and in pristine condition. Be careful when you took your generator to drain the oil. It starts right up first Pole, but something inside the carburetor is Fubar without taking it off. I would love to have a manual and somewhere to order parts. The fool that unboxed it rule out everything but the generator. I asked him what the icons meant on the knob. Insulted me change what you don't know how to start a generator . He brings up a generator every 2 months, t h r e w out the propane connection hose too. My generator is usually last about 7 years. When he starts him up he puts them on an air conditioner or some other hi watt usage. I run in an hour and then I plug in less than 100 Watts. I only give my generators recreational 90 fuel with no alcohol. Never empty your gas can into the generator no matter what kind you use there's always going to be a couple of drops. Take care out there and I hope you have as much luck with your generators as I have. I had a Ryobi for the last 7 years, and I needed a new governor stepper motor. They sent it free and it was here only three days. 5 years later I tried to get ahold of the same guy to get another stepper motor, they did not understand what the carburetor Governor motor was so they sent me a couple of plastic caps that covered the stepper motor, 27.00 and I didn't need it my Ryobi didn't come with a plastic cover over the stepper motor. Next they sent me a stepper motor and no refund or mailing label. It was just a different kind but I installed it and it worked about 2 months. I ordered another one, and when I installed that won the generator would only run about 2 or 3 seconds and then shut down. Ryobi has only one phone number for parts in the United States or anywhere in the world I guess and they don't know nothing the generator parts they're supposed to be providing and selling. It starts first pull, but won't or make electricity. If I could only get the right parts out of Ryobi, I wouldn't know how good Champion generators are. The Ryobi knob turned on the gas and choke enter the Run position it was on a metal knob sticking out of the carburetor. It stripped out inside. I had a couple thousand hours on that generator. And I don't think I ever bought a spark plug for it I just cleaned the old one. I hope this Champion can match that. It's quiet and makes nice power when it's running. With the Ryobi even being smaller would start the air conditioner while my mini fridge was running. If I don't get this Champion working I'm going to put the stepper motor off it under the Ryobi. Thank you Tatiana a champion for listening to me and listening to my generator troubleshooting it with me and sending me that carburetor. I hope all the employees are champion artist friendly a knowledgeable as you.

I just pulled the carburator out (mostly) on the model 201046, which is the 2500 watt single fuel inverter. There was no need to unclip any wire harnesses but in order to remove the carb intirely there is a black wire that goes into the back of the panel that attaches to the top of the carb. It looked complicated to remove or I would have to remove the top white round unit on top of the carb. I just got it out far enough to clean the jet and now it works fine. However if I had to totally remove the unit, this video does not cover my particular model and whether I should remove the black wire going into the panel, or the top unit (whatever it is) screwed on to top of the carburator. (visible at 2:17 in video)
Where can I find a picture of the position of the spring/plastic arm assy for the throttle actuator on top of the carburator? Model: 100889 / SN: 20120019001689
@@ChampionPowerEquipmentHQ Thank you. I will be operating it on propane at about 8,000 ft. I have read using the high-altitude jet is not necessary when using propane, is that correct? I would rather not go through the trouble of installing the jet as I live at sea level.

@@ChampionPowerEquipmentHQ thank you so much for the quick service you gave me about 5 days ago, I spoke with Tatiana on the phone she listened to me patiently and listen to my generator run and helped troubleshoot the problem, my generator is only 6 months old we didn't file the warranty and Home Depot only has a 90-day return policy on them. Tatiana s e n t me me a new carburetor due to the carburetor flooding with fuel above the best level. I got it in about 3 days and they usually cost $30. Champion give me well in a special thanks to Tatiana

Mmm, seems like no one from Champion actually looks at comments or answers questions customers may have.
Gracias,

Do I need to remove the carburetor from this same unit to install a high altitude jet?
If there is enough room to remove the carburetor bowl from the bottom half of the carburetor, then taking out the entirely piece is not necessary. 👍

It will literally last forever if you just use propane. Thing is a tank
