    Interesting presentation as always. Thank you. You mentioned that the 7th interval is unstable, and it occurred to me that it should be, given that it's the inversion of the 2nd. Then that led me to reflect on why you might choose the Phrygian mode to demonstrate it. If you think of a 'descriptor' chord for the Phrygian mode, Bb Major suspended over an A would work well. That chord could also be thought about as Bb Major seventh in its third inversion. Curious, as Major seventh chords (at least in their root inversion) are very resolved sounding chords. I always think of them as the mirror image of the diminished seventh, juxtaposing two perfect fifths separated by a Major third, as opposed to two tritones separated by a minor third. Anyway, just got me thinking, that's all.
