      It’s not just the 5.0 - it’s all the Lexus engines.
      The 3UZ 4.3 V8 (and one of their 4 cylinder engines as well) was actually used in circuit racing of all engines, and surprisingly the 2JZ is not. If you build up the 3UZ so it has the stronger internals to go with the better flowing intake and heads the 3UZ has, and I have the idea of assembling this in the stronger iron 2UZ block so I can get more dispensary safely with piston sleeves, and then aiming to use the timing chain from the 2UZ instead of the belt on the 3UZ and 1UZ. Basically you can build a UZ that has the benefits of the newer more advance 3UZ with the stronger parts from the other 1UZ and 2UZ engines - minute the weak internals. I would use the early 1990s internals from the 4.0 V-8, but the problem is is I want more displacement so I have to go to the custom route.
      At Whitney and they’re online catalog they have a full reciprocating assembly with pistons and rods crank for a 4.7 2UZ for under 2500 which isn’t bad at all. If I decide to skip out on doing a 5.0 or 5.2 I could do a budget 4.7 build out of my 4.3 3UZ as well I suppose. But if I’m going to spend that much money and I’ll be blueprinting the engine and building it in phases, I may as well go all out and use the 2UZ block with timing chain and then go for 5.0 or 5.2, to get easily 400 HP or more while NA, but then have the option later for forced induction but no more than 8-10 lbs which would be enough to put me in 550-600hp range and I would be fine with that.
      The LC500 is 471hp and they are planning a turbo version probably LC-F and that would be putting out the same power im aiming out of this hybrid setup Frankenstein engine I’m doing for my SC430. I’m in CA and really want to do a manual trans conversion but all these mods that I mention will be impossible to smog the car but I plan on moving to Florida later on so it will be totally possible to do over there. There is a guy on TH-cam with a 2003 SC 430 where he installed a supra engine with a single large turbo pushing over 730 hp and he did a five speed manual conversion. However if I were to go that route I would want to use the six speed out of an Infiniti since they sell a bellhousing adapter to adapt to the UZ engine family. Even if I kept my engine stock on my SC430 and installed manual trans it won’t pass smog at all even though the fucking engine will still be within range and run clean enough for CA smog laws. I believe in clean air since I grew up in the 80’s with smog alerts and haven’t to stay inside, and it’s a LOT better now because of the smog laws, but they are going overboard and attacking tuners, who’s cars run just as clean if not cleaner when tuned perfectly after all these mods that are frowned upon.

    There is a video online of an ISF engine being serviced, and able to see the inside of the engine and it looks flawless at close to 200k miles. Same thing with all of the Toyota V8 and regular engines. I am making an SC F out of my SC430 using my extra 4.3 engine, and using various engine parts from Tundra with aftermarket forged pistons and rods in a sleeved block, which allows it to displace 5.0 or 5.2 liters. I am going to see what I can get out of it while NA (I'm certain it will be over 400hp) and then Ill try a custom turbo setup at a later point but I will keep it below 600hp on regular high octane gas, since I don't want to start using e85 unless I am taking it to a track.

There are LS430's with the same engine pushing even more mileage, and there is an LS400 with the 4.0 engine that has gone over 1 million miles. • @IronNam
      @IronNam  5 ปีที่แล้ว +48

      @@judahsoyonov5976 you should see me run my car, I've had no issues. Only common issue is that the factory sealant they use for the coolant plate in the V8's valley can start to seep or leak. Mine just has it in a very tiny spot (no cooling issues whatsoever). My friends and I in the Lexus F community want to reach out to Lexus and get corporate involved to fix these and use a better sealant. On the other hand, if you're decent with hand tools and have a friend to help, doing the valley plate yourself is possible and is about an evening's worth of fun. Aside from all that, I only do my oil changes every 5000 miles. These Oil Change Intervals are rated at 5k on conventional. I run full synthetic 5w-30 of either Pennzoil Platinum or Castrol Edge. I just got done changing my air filter. Check it out on my Instagram. I did 181mph on a dirty filter 😂😂😂 as for other things, it's literally just basic maintenance and servicing. Oil, filters, it's as easy and reliable as any Camry. Factory brakes are drilled, I'm using Brakenetic RS slotted rotors with EBC Yellowstuff brake pads. Quieter than the OEM pads, still dusty, but brakes even harder. The aramid fiber compound's dust is also easier to clean than any other brake pad compound.
      Aside from all that, I've gone through more rear tires than anything else haha
