It's a fact that he was killing long before the game show and not just in CA. He went through several trials in the state of CA before being convicted & receiving the death penalty. I never gave him much thought & never knew what happened to him. Just checked, he died in prison at the age of 79 in 2021 of natural causes. Thanks for reminding me of this guy, I'm going to watch the 20/20 documentary. They estimate he may have killed 50-130 females based on photos he had in his possession, many of which remain unidentified/located. Was this TMI for a light-hearted reaction video?

It stopped running because nearly everyone literally became superstars and started doing movies. Keenan Wayans created the show and hired on his brothers and sister, Jim Carrey, Jaime Foxx, Tommy Davidson, David Allen Grier, and many others. Even Jennifer Lopez and Rosie Perez got their starts as Fly Girls on this show. And so many singing acts got their debut big breaks on the show as well. You should check out The Best of Sheneneh clips from the Martin Lawrence show. It's Martin in drag much like Jaime Foxx was here as Wanda but funnier.

You guys should watch a couple complete episodes to get a better idea. While the show had sketches, it was very much like SNL in that it also had an into and outro (often done by Keenan). It also featured little dance numbers before and after commercial breaks. These dancers, called the "Fly Girls" are where we got J-Lo, Rosie Perez, Carrie Inaba, Sasha Alexander.
There are still stretch shows in the US. SNL is the longest running one and there's a new one called Black Girl Sketch Show. It's really good. Created by a black comedienne.

Saturday Night Live is STILL on and kicking boys!!! Also not sure if it's been mentioned already but the Dating Game was a real show on TV from 1965 - 1973.,. Once in a while a celebrity would be a contestant.... And once even a serial killer - his name, Richard Ramirez aka the Night Stalker! AND he actually won- the young lady picked him for a date. She later backed out of the date because "he gave her the creeps" 😲
