Ah nice. Yeah the X99 is a lovely journey by bus to Inverness I've done it a few times. My last trip on the X99 was actually 30th September in 2023 so U travelled weeks after I did.
Hi Great video, as a long exiled Scot, it was nice to see the homeland again.Last time did the Thurso to Inverness run was about 30plus years ago. Regards Crawford
I did this route on the 22/10/24 about 8 days ago after visiting the most northerly point in Mainland Britain nearby - Dunnet Head. On google maps, I was so pleased I could get the number 80 from Brough Post Box down to Castletown around 10:55 and the 11:59 X99 from there. 54133 I had which was losing acceleration minutes from Inverness Bus Station but with a turn off and on the driver got it going. A pity theres no USB's but thankfully it ran 😊.
Great video plan to do some touring round Scotland later in the year. Think we have got used to the £2 fares in England now so to hear you paid £26 for a single journey was a bit shocked.
Both the Far North Line and Dunnethead are on my bucket list. I plan to scratch them off next week. Given all the cancellations with trains at the moment due to industrial action or the weather I might be riding this bus to get from Inverness to Thurso. Good to have a back up plan. Thanks for showing this
Nice video, good to meet you on this journey 👍🏻
Hi mate, thanks for watching again, very much appreciated. likewise.

I wonder how that compares to the train
Hi mate, thanks for watching - appreciated. Yeah I was too, fairy expensive but as it serves local communities along route I didn't mind paying.
Not bad for a 3.5 hour trip I think.
Free with a over 60s Scottish bus pass which under 22s are also entitled to.
Will do the roundtrip as you did, in September this year. I´m danish and will flying to Inverness and return via Aberdeen. Nice Video. 😀
Its a lovely journey, thanks for watching.
What a nice journey. I would like to take the train up and bus to Inverness. Or the other way around. Also spend a day in Thurso and Wick.
