I dunno what the hell happened, but the game went from smooth progression and clever environmental puzzles to obtuse and hard to figure out like half way through
Thanks for the guide. I actually kinda enjoyed this level up until the boss fight. It is probably the least lovable floor but I was still having fun walking through. On the other hand, if hell exists the damned souls are constantly punished to beat this boss.
Goes right up there with Zelda Ocarina of Time's Water Temple as the WORST dungeon and Luigi's mansion WORST BOSS BATTLE EVER!! Curse the damn controls!
Boilerworks (B2) can be really bad, mainly because of the tube riding gimmick, which is a major pain for those who have trouble with the controls. The worst part is that it's one of the floors you'll need to revisit later in the game (and for a Escort Mission too, because of course), but, luckily, you only have to ride the tube on your first visit.
This level was unbearable, and I’m so glad I had it cut short. When my duck was blown up and I had to blow it back up, the boss was blown up by his own bomb so I managed to get out of the boss battle faster than I would’ve The garden suites were annoying, but god the boiler works took something out of my soul
And the worst part was, I really liked everything else about it. The aesthetic, music, Clem as a character, the setting. But actually playing it was hell
Tesco Meal Deal couldn't agree more, it was a good idea making a water level, music was great, & the boss was very unique looking. Good idea, horribly executed. I rage quit yesterday, so i gotta play it now to move on, wish me luck...

He will still throw mines at you, just use the suction cup thing to to knock the mines out of his hands or back at him. They'll detonate on him, which will weaken him, and that's when you'll have to use the rubber duck to throw him into the spikes. That's actually the only time you'll ever have to use the duck, to capture a man to get out of the water

Personally I thought the boss fight was easy though I did get caught by a mine when vacuuming him the first time. Still shaved off some of his health though. I would recommend using both Luigi AND Gooigi.
Robinn ._. I always love me some good old banjo! Sadly you can barely hear the banjo remix of the Possessor Capture theme from Luigi's Mansion 2 when capturing Clem, didn't make the boss as satisfying. And I was really looking forward to that part! >.
When Luigi was exploring the boilerworks it reminds him in his days working in the New York sewers as a plumber working with Mario in the original Mario Bros arcade game. Be careful stepping on that rubber ducky waking up Clem.
Clem is infamous for stumping many players, but mostly because of Fake Difficulty. The tube riding controls are not the most intuitive, which makes navigating through the endless mines and spiked walls a frustrating experience, and in order to make Clem vulnerable in the first place, you NEED to let him get close enough to attempt to whack you (but not let yourself get whacked, which, again, is very troublesome due to the aforementioned controls). If you do manage to put Clem into a stunned state (either due to the dodging strategy or luck from a stray mine), you still have to chase after him when he's spinning around uncontrollably, catch his tube, shoot it into the spikes AND chase after him again when he lands outside the pool. Overall, it's a boss with a simple logic behind it, but with plenty of steps and annoyances that are not immediately obvious about how to perform or overcome. The saving grace of this fight are the endless rats that provide health if vaccuumed, so you can afford to get hurt and pop your tube repeatedly, but inflating a new rubber floatie is still an annoying process thanks to Luigi being unable to move until he finishes doing so.
You do know that you can just leave Gooigi up there like the video showed right? I hope you do by now. I wish the game forced you to do that because then you'd actually have to use Gooigi.

Me too
How did you adjust to right or left turns randomly and arbitrarily locking up? Because that's what I went through the entire time with my battle with Clem. Still beat him, but it was the worst experience I've had with broken play controls in a long time.
Anyone know where to find the road in this area. For the last gem in it I have to find him and I got no idea where to even try looking in there.
continue the game, the road is unlocked through the story
Nice vid hopefully you make more guides If possible!
This floor should have been replaced with an snow floor with a snowman boss
And instead of ducks there will be ice skates
The controls whoud be slicker and youed go much faster and compared to what we got it whoud be gold
Plus the sharks are ghostskaters.
Ur so right. And the boss would be wrapped in warm clothes so each time you make him dizzy, then suck up his clothes, then he would fall, he would end up in his underwear, then he would shiver. Then you flash him, then you suck him up ect. But srsly, they should add that.
Aman Mehta They totally missed that as a floor concept! Maybe because I'm Scandinavian though. Maybe the boss would be a Viking and an army of Goobs dressed up as Vikings, just like those dancers in the Dance Hall area.
And instead of blowing up a duck you fix the ise skates when you mess up in some way
Mannnnnn..... this ghost boss was hard to fight 😂😂😂 but im so glad I got past it. If this level was THAT HARD, I can’t imagine what the last floor is going to be like 😳 I’m scared lmao 😂
AND I HATE WATER LEVELS 😭😂🤣
Same
The last floor is lazers
The last floor the ultimate boss fight will made you so mad
Am I the only one who didn't struggle with this level and found it enjoyable
Hol up, then y u watching the video? We all do it to get past levels
I wanted to find a gem
Thank you!!
This level is very enjoyable!!
I'm only here for help on the boss fight. I keep running into the spikes, lol.
Bruhtastic me too fam
Nope.
Luigi should be more familiar with the boilerworks setting. He is a plumber, after all.
The inflatable ducks must have been hard for Luigi to inflate since he doesn’t inflate them every day
Thx for the help just completed im a do floor 10 in some time
The reason I’m stuck in sewer a is because that piranha creeped the shit out of me and I thought it was going to pop my floaty and kill me
Ooh, this stage was wretched. Its sad too, because the theme and mechanics were really creative, but the controls to turn Luigi's float were executed very poorly. Certain directions simply stop working for no reason.
Why can’t Luigi swim in this game and need to use inflatable ducks and why does Luigi blow up the inflatable by mouth instead of the poltergust and it blows air so it should inflate it
Thanks for the help !
It's a curtain. Ugh. I thought it looked significant but I thought it was a panel I was supposed to break with a plunger.
Good puppy
Thank you.
