I’m going to hang a tree stand this morning for the first time in my life. You are a huge part of what inspired me to start. Running a defiant/axis setup that I couldn’t have learned w/out your videos. Thanks in advance for my first kill.
The truck should be prewired to run lights and accessories. The splice point is under the hood towards the fire wall. The truck inside should be fitted with up-fitter switches. I believe 4/6 of them. My F250 has 4. Those wires under the hood are the powers for those switches. I would run the light bar on the front of the bumper how ever you like and out the pods (smaller cube lights) at the corners like Chris mentioned. Congrats on the new truck guys! That’s awesome My bad, maybe I should of watched the whole video before telling you that, I don’t think the XLT comes with the up-fitter switches. Your best option is to buy some harnesses that are pre wired for running lights and accessories. Their cheap, O Riley’s and Napa and similar auto parts stores have them. I believe also Walmart. 10/20$ max
5.0 coyote is a hell of a motor and can take alot of stuff thrown at it I have mine an sport mode basically unlocks your motor to mustang settings it's a great motor all around
looks like 33 inch tires. If it were me, I would swap the wheels / tires out for some 16 or 17 inch steel rims and some meatier 35 inch tires. Not sure how much overlanding you all plan on doing in this rig but it would certainly be more capable with that set up. Then you also don't have to worry about scratching those 20" rims... Also because you saves so serious money by not buying the truck, I would throw lights all over the thing. Take it to most 4x4 shops (they're popping up all over the US due to a serious increase in popularity) and have them do all of the work. Because you already have a solid light bar, it wouldn't cost too much. Not saying you should be like everyone else, but most people put the long light bar above the windshield and the little square ones on the edges at the top of the hood by the struts. You could also mount those on the back of the roof rack, as you pointed out. The wiring is not that difficult but I would have a certified guy do it for you bc the DIY can be a challenge and costly if you screw it up. Don't want to be cutting holes in steel.... Unless you've done that sort of thing before.
It's a 34" tall tire. 275÷25.4 =10.83" =tire width 10.83×.65 =7.037" = sidewall height 7.037"×2 sidewalls = 14.07" of total sidewall 14.07" of sidewall + 20" wheel = 34" tire. The more you know.
That truck should have interior bed lights, I'd wire them off those and you don't have to do anything really...no switching from the cab or anything. Don't worry about overloading the circuit because led don't draw anything. So anytime you turn on the interior bed your led will come on as well.
hey chris and travis from texas which is truck country your light bars the big one across top of windshield or in grille or bumper area see them all the time in texas mounted above windshield the little ones you can mount on back up high like yall were talking about.keep up the great videos rick b from deep in the heart of texas
While the 5.0 has been a good motor, in 2018 they changed it and now a lot of people are seeing excessive oil consumption that leads to engine failure. Keep a close eye on the oil level and it should treat you well.
First of all congrats on the truck now Lights... They are easy wiring harness on eBay pre built ready to go like 8 bucks each cheap and work great if put the 2x2 pod lights on the back for camp setup at night and cleaning game also great for early morning setup of gear big light bar personal preference on that I like em in the grill on the roof they wistle from the wind at driving speed
Ya cause it has these things to set so that it clicks for different yardages when you twist the knob in low light. I personally don’t own one did research on um almost bought one but went with the black and gold ascent verdict single pin instead.
Chris, Go see the Guys at Unlimited Off-road in Fenton, they can hook you up with just about anything you need . Prices are reasonable and are easy to work with.

Hi Chris. What’s the names of the storage box system?

Eco mode on a 5 litre V8 seems questionable unless it shuts down a cylinder bank. But hey what a win! This should up the diy hunt game.
its hard to find Hoyt compound bow in Malaysia

Does anyone know who makes the racks on that truck? Not really interested in the tent part but like the storage compartments on the side. Thanks
Awesome truck! I am never disappointed by your vids.👌
