Would you continue if they whine or "scream"? I am house call and so everything I do is within eye line or ear shot of a client.
I would. I would explain to the owner that the puppy is being a bit dramatic, but, if I stop every time it whines or screams, the puppy will learn to scream to make everything stop and it will be harder to groom the puppy every groom.
May I ask what brand curved thinning shears you are using? Actually, are they thinning, blending or chunkers? Probably paid more than I’m willing since I just have a Shih Tzu I’m wanting to start grooming at home.
I'm using Sassy dog thinning shears. They are available from LA Sharpening in Leduc Alberta. If you check out their FB page and message them, they can get you set up. They are very reasonable prices, but you'll have to check directly with them the current price
