My neighbor just picked up the bigger one xp700 it is very darn nice at all volume from quiet to loud. It has a dynamic sound. When quiet it still sounds very good all sound work great. My current cheap speaker needs turned up to hear all the different sounds and bass.

It's not at all bass heavy spund signature. It is balanced IMO. Compare it to JBL partybox 110 and you will see.
