14:14 Because it is, in Volume 3 Yuri Lowenthal took over the role of Mercury. Him and a few other big names in the voice acting scene start to join around this time
26:30 - Qrow was originally voiced by Vic Mignogna. He was replaced by Jason Liebrecht for Volume 7 and onward after Vic was accused of sexual harassment and subsequently fired from Rooster Teeth.

So apparently we got note that the reason the animation and modeling fidelity ACTUALLY went up so much was because Monty was just such a goat that most of the animation for RWBY was handled by him. Hm, at this point, i gotta say, while I do still feel like the Volume 1-3 Openings are some pretty well done Openings in their own right, with nice Songs, well done Animation and not bad Visuals, But if there’s anything that i really have a problem with, with these Openings, it’s how they can be so largely inaccurate to what we actually end up see happening in their respective Volumes, Now I can be forgiving towards a First Opening and to be fair the Volume 3 Opening is a little better with representing what actually happens in the Volume than the First Two did, However, the Volume 2 Opening(and to a certain extent Volume 3 Opening), were so bad at accurately representing what was actually happening in the Volume, that it has kind of bothered for awhile now, like in the Volume 2 Opening it seemed like they setting up a full on War between the Good Guys and Every Bad Guy we had been introduced to at the time, but that didn’t happen. Regardless, above anything else, if there’s been one inaccuracy that has always been bothering me every time I see it, it’s how the Volume 2-3 Openings seemed to really like setting up Team RWBY vs Cinder’s Faction and their supposed Matchups with each other, Now that’s not to say I have a problem with the Matchups themselves, Ruby vs Cinder, Weiss vs Emerald, Blake vs Adam(Roman in Volume 2, but let’s be honest Adam is way more fitting for Blake) & Yang vs Mercury, They are all fine and is pretty fitting, even make sense in some places, The problem I do have, is the Team RWBY vs Cinder’s Faction Matchups’ overall presence in the Volumes themselves or rather the lack there of, Now to be fair, it wasn’t really like that none of the Matchups ended up happening, like we did actually get to see Blake vs Roman in Volume 2 for example, But that’s just another thing, while we do get to see at least one of the setup Matchups in a Volume, any of the other Matchups either isn’t an straight up fight, doesn’t happen in a Volume or just straight up doesn’t happen at all, throughout the entire Series, all up until one of them has reached a point where they doesn’t really have a reason to fight the other anymore(Weiss vs Emerald, I am looking at you), Now once again, to be fair, I can actually be a little more understanding for why literally all of the Team RWBY vs Cinder’s Faction Matchups didn’t happen in Volume 2, since Three of the Faction’s Members were in undercover after all, so they wouldn’t have had a reason to fight any of the RWBY Members, still even with that being the case, I feel like that could’ve been a good opportunity to show us the RWBY Members and the Faction Members being setup in Show itself outside of the Openings, giving us a actual reason for why each of the Members would be Rivals/Nemeses to one another, Regardless of that, Volume 3 probably were their last opportunity to finally let us fully see Team RWBY vs Cinder’s Faction with all of their Members going against one another, but no that ended up still not happening, I can’t tell you how long I waited to see Team RWBY vs Cinder’s Faction finally happen in full, heck even after Volume 3 where the Openings had pretty much stopped teasing us with each Member of Team RWBY and Cinder’s Faction going at it with each other, i was still anticipating to see at least one of the alluded Matchups that hadn’t happened yet to finally happen, only for all of that to ultimately go nowhere, leaving me asking just what was the point of it all? Despite all of that, regardless of the Openings, I do feel like Volume 3 might be my favorite Volume of the Post-Monty Era, aside from Volume 4, That’s not to say I have anything against how the Series looks Visually in Volume 4 and beyond, I do like how it looks now, i actually am curious how things would’ve been like if the Show had looked the way it does now from the get go, It’s just Volume 3, as well as 1 & 2 I guess, just has different kind of vibe than the other ones you know? A vibe that i feel like we left way too soon, maybe we should’ve had Four Volumes for each Kingdom instead of supposedly Three, Heck i don’t even feel like any of the other Kingdoms even got to be Three Volumes like Vale did. By the way, in case it wasn’t obvious, while I will enjoy each Reaction, that doesn’t mean I won’t make my opinion on things regarding this Show known, I hope that is okay and i hope this wall of text isn’t too much of a bother to go through.
Volume 3, let's go! So yeah, this is sadly the first volume after Monty's untimely passing, though he did do work on some of the fight scenes later in the volume. More on that when we get to it. Monty's brother Brandon did indeed take over the role. Episode 2 is another case of Rooster Teeth putting the fans in the show. This time it was a few things. Team NDGO was designed by fan artists and voiced by other fans, same as the bartender Qrow was talking to. All were selected by top tier donators to the indiegogo project for one of their other projects. They got to appear in the series proper thanks to their donations. Mercury has a new voice this volume as well, being the same voice actor that plays Peter Parker in the Sony Spider-Man games. Bit by bit the council is coming together and each one is based on a Wizard of Oz character. Ozpin I've mentioned before being the Wizard. Ironwood is the Tin Man, Glynda is the Good Witch, and now we have Qrow as the Scarecrow. We're in the thick of things now. Keep in mind this entire volume was supposed to be the back half of volume 2 before it expanded too much for a single volume. Looking forward to see how things unfold from here
Ironwood fanboys will happily enjoy 90% of his interactions in those episodes to pretend he never had those flaws and that season 7-8 made them up or something
It was never Ironwoods turn that was the problem, it's how it was handled. Regardless of his faults, he always had the best of intentions, but was afraid, it's just that instead they turned Ironwood into a braindead monster. The moment that proved the writers don't give a shit, is when Ironwood randomly shoot a guy for no reason.
@@michaelgillespie9112 Honestly, I think his shift could have worked better if they just made him straight up cold and calculating, really focus on how time constraints are forcing him to be brutally logical, and how traitors and infiltrators are so dangerous at this point that he is removing any sign of disloyalty, and lean further into the whole heartless tinman thing. But, as is, they give him many moments of anger, a straight up villain laugh and a Lex Luthor-ass hostage video that make him look almost comically evil. Given the chance I would do a second pass on a fair amount of the dialogue in RWBY, and Ironwoods would probably get the most rewrites, even from the start.
@@RyderDunei I saw those as a nervous breakdown honestly. I think what they wanted to get to was why Ozpin got so desperate by showing us what happens when you tell someone that Salem cannot be beaten at the wrong time. Now it could have been handled better sure but I don't think it's the catastrophy of "they diabolize him and make the heroes look like saints" that many people talk about, they fail too, they did their best but it went to shit when if they all worked together correctly they had victory in their grasp but Salem divided them that's the point. It's not like RWBY writing was ever incredible, even the so called golden age of early season had great fights sure but the writing was always at that level if not worse, we were just a lot more tolerant back then
Vic is a memorable name because of the big controversy that occurred with him at the center. I'm being careful with my words because I just want to inform rather than start an argument since there are sides to this discussion, even today and I choose to remain neutral, as I did when the controversy started. So, a lawsuit happened, and he was basically fired from a large number of his roles (if not all of his roles) which includes Qrow.
Qrow's old voice actor is Vic Mignogna, who uh... has some controversy surrounding him, and was replaced as Qrow's voice later on as a result. I think it's best to just not get into that, and just appreciate both his and Jason Liebrecht's (VA who took over Qrow's voice afterward) takes on the character

Hm, at this point, i gotta say, while I do still feel like the Volume 1-3 Openings are some pretty well done Openings in their own right, with nice Songs, well done Animation and not bad Visuals,
But if there’s anything that i really have a problem with, with these Openings, it’s how they can be so largely inaccurate to what we actually end up see happening in their respective Volumes,
Now I can be forgiving towards a First Opening and to be fair the Volume 3 Opening is a little better with representing what actually happens in the Volume than the First Two did,
However, the Volume 2 Opening(and to a certain extent Volume 3 Opening), were so bad at accurately representing what was actually happening in the Volume, that it has kind of bothered for awhile now, like in the Volume 2 Opening it seemed like they setting up a full on War between the Good Guys and Every Bad Guy we had been introduced to at the time, but that didn’t happen.
Regardless, above anything else, if there’s been one inaccuracy that has always been bothering me every time I see it, it’s how the Volume 2-3 Openings seemed to really like setting up Team RWBY vs Cinder’s Faction and their supposed Matchups with each other,
Now that’s not to say I have a problem with the Matchups themselves,
Ruby vs Cinder,
Weiss vs Emerald,
Blake vs Adam(Roman in Volume 2, but let’s be honest Adam is way more fitting for Blake) &
Yang vs Mercury,
They are all fine and is pretty fitting, even make sense in some places,
The problem I do have, is the Team RWBY vs Cinder’s Faction Matchups’ overall presence in the Volumes themselves or rather the lack there of,
Now to be fair, it wasn’t really like that none of the Matchups ended up happening, like we did actually get to see Blake vs Roman in Volume 2 for example,
But that’s just another thing, while we do get to see at least one of the setup Matchups in a Volume, any of the other Matchups either isn’t an straight up fight, doesn’t happen in a Volume or just straight up doesn’t happen at all, throughout the entire Series, all up until one of them has reached a point where they doesn’t really have a reason to fight the other anymore(Weiss vs Emerald, I am looking at you),
Now once again, to be fair, I can actually be a little more understanding for why literally all of the Team RWBY vs Cinder’s Faction Matchups didn’t happen in Volume 2, since Three of the Faction’s Members were in undercover after all, so they wouldn’t have had a reason to fight any of the RWBY Members, still even with that being the case, I feel like that could’ve been a good opportunity to show us the RWBY Members and the Faction Members being setup in Show itself outside of the Openings, giving us a actual reason for why each of the Members would be Rivals/Nemeses to one another,
Regardless of that, Volume 3 probably were their last opportunity to finally let us fully see Team RWBY vs Cinder’s Faction with all of their Members going against one another, but no that ended up still not happening,
I can’t tell you how long I waited to see Team RWBY vs Cinder’s Faction finally happen in full, heck even after Volume 3 where the Openings had pretty much stopped teasing us with each Member of Team RWBY and Cinder’s Faction going at it with each other, i was still anticipating to see at least one of the alluded Matchups that hadn’t happened yet to finally happen, only for all of that to ultimately go nowhere, leaving me asking just what was the point of it all?
Despite all of that, regardless of the Openings, I do feel like Volume 3 might be my favorite Volume of the Post-Monty Era, aside from Volume 4,
That’s not to say I have anything against how the Series looks Visually in Volume 4 and beyond, I do like how it looks now, i actually am curious how things would’ve been like if the Show had looked the way it does now from the get go,
It’s just Volume 3, as well as 1 & 2 I guess, just has different kind of vibe than the other ones you know? A vibe that i feel like we left way too soon, maybe we should’ve had Four Volumes for each Kingdom instead of supposedly Three,
Heck i don’t even feel like any of the other Kingdoms even got to be Three Volumes like Vale did.
By the way, in case it wasn’t obvious, while I will enjoy each Reaction, that doesn’t mean I won’t make my opinion on things regarding this Show known,
I hope that is okay and i hope this wall of text isn’t too much of a bother to go through.
And now you get to see Team SSSN, led by Sun, who combats his enemies with his semblance, Via Sun, son
I recommend reacting to either the Gildedguy series or the dude demo showcase.
Oh man, this season is gonna hit hard... I can already feel it...
Looking forward to see how things unfold from here
Not Brandon, Neath.
Let's gooooo more RWBY content with Alicia and Coma
Ironwood fanboys will happily enjoy 90% of his interactions in those episodes to pretend he never had those flaws and that season 7-8 made them up or something
Yep. The red flags are already present. They were even being raised in Volume 2.
@@davidkoudelka10 Yeah, showing up as a peaceful tournament with a battle fleet...
It's not like RWBY writing was ever incredible, even the so called golden age of early season had great fights sure but the writing was always at that level if not worse, we were just a lot more tolerant back then
Gotta love Winter lmao
*SMACK* I ASKED IF U WAS HEALTHY BRUH
i rlly need to do a rewatch, i have watched volumes 1-5 since i was in middle school 💀, i did not remember all that foreshadowing
All the team attack names are ship names, both for team RWBY and Team JNPR.
If you're showing him Monty's other works you should also make it a reaction
Alicia! Maybe you can check out Captain Laserhawk: blood dragon remix? A neat little show imo
What's poppin' Alicia and Koma? 0u0
Your voice!!!! you remind me of Lindsey ( Ruby's VA) I think thats why i am so comfortable with you channel!
Qrow and Winter, 9 season s later and I'm still saying it: if those two HAVENT smashed, thier going to.
And if they don't, that is s crying shame.
Weird, so far you didnt tell koma that every character in RWBY is based on a fairytale character 🤔
Also Qrow being the druncle is so fun
Fun Fact: Mercury is voiced by Sasuke😃
It's Drunkle Qrow!
Ship Qrow and Winter ❄️
They just mad they didn't bring popcorn get ya MONCH on!
PLEASE IF YOU EVER COULD DO RED V BLUE 😭😭 ITS SOOOO GOOD AT LEAST SEASON 1-8 ARE SO GOOD AND MONTY WAS AT HIS PEAK THERE
My favorite character from wizard of oz is the scare crow.
Can you please react to My Adventures with Superman? I think you'll really like it
Qrow started it by destroying robot escort...
I hope you guys will also be reacting to rwby chibi😊
Also, WINTER MY WAIFU
If you love Qrow OR Winter, you need to watch Chini. They are both awesome in it.
What happend to the audio. In the volume 1 reaction it wasn't mute?
Day, I don’t know what of trying to ask you to react to dead sounds making of Sauriu serious
Back on the 1st RWBY Reaction...
THUS.....I KINDLY...SCATTERRR!!!
I'm not ready for this volume
Qrow was voiced by Vic Mignogna until Vol 7 :(
Pour one out for the homie
After this season I hope chibi comes next for those who know know
Show him haliod
I’m pretty sure you can just let rwby play with no editing and there’s no copyright issues
And thus began my crack ship which these days would have zoomers spamming the skull emoji at me
Writing a comment

Day 281 of asking Alicia to play Nier:Automata!!
Not a spoiler but qrow forshadowed something down the line.
You gonna react to the new Lackadaisy mini-episode?
From Volume 3 ownwards it gets better (maybe not vol 5 but you get it)
And now we're introduced to the most badass huntsman around, voiced by Vic Mignogna. They did him dirty.
Considering all the filth that was going on behind the scenes at RT, the fact that they had the sheer temerity to stab Vic in the back over accusations, that turned out to be bullshit, was hypocritical nonsense.
