She made the allegations on her Facebook, after blocking me from her wall, so I couldn't defend myself. People immediately believed her and called her 'brave' for 'exposing' me, even though there was no proof at all I had done something wrong. It was a nightmare and I cried my share of tears over it.
      Later it turned out she had some mental problems and said more goofy stuff and made things up. Do you know how many of the people that were quick to judge me reached out to me after that and apologized?

      @@PdZ2012that’s terrible! I’m so sorry you dealt with that. Some people are extremely evil and unfortunately people are so quick to believe it because it’s such a sick and grave accusation.
      One of my former friends tried to accuse me of being a p e d o just because I dated someone a year younger than me when I was 18, yet there was no inappropriate activity being done and I literally have prove of her willingly being friends with people who have been transphobic, homophobic, and friends with a person who still is associated with another p e d o that came onto two of the minors in our friend group. Not only that but she’s just a bad and fake friend in general. I guess she decided to accuse me because I was the main one to check her. Thankfully, it didn’t ruin my reputation. I can only imagine how terrible it would be to be in that situation. The worst part about false allegations is that even if it's brought to trial & you are proven completely innocent the public will always remember that there was a question..so many people will hear false & just instantly believe it & not even acknowledge being proven innocent no matter how obvious the accuser's motivations are. MJ is the perfect example of that & it's terrible for anyone to have to go through it. I'm very sorry this happened to you & to anyone else who has been falsely accused. Maybe people who falsely accuse others (& are found to be straight up lying with maliciously intentions) should be punished equally for the crimes they are accusing the innocent of..or something like that because the accused have to live with it the rest of their lives & I feel like that would drastically cut down false allegations (like the whole JD vs AH situation)

    • @andreysma3798
      @andreysma3798 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +18

      The saddest part of false accusations is not only innocent people having their reputations destroyed, which is already bad, but also when this trend stops (if it ever does) because of many people crying wolf, the ones who will take the hardest hit will be the ones whose accusations are legitimate. Those who suffer from harassment and further, the ones who need to be heard the most will be the first in line to be ignored and vilified because of a bunch of idiots trivializing the seriousness of such words.

    I'm legit happy Chris interviewed Velveteen Dream and gave him a chance to speak his side of the story. We are all human and we all make mistakes. Every single one of us have allowed people to get far too close to us than they had any right to be and we got hurt, abused/taken advantaged of physically, mentally, spiritually or emotionally because of it and had our lives changed for the worse to varying degrees. That little bit of friendliness, being cordial, giving someone a chance, being naive etc can be literally turned against you so quick, so fast and your life is forever changed off of one moment where your defenses were down. As a country and morally as individual human beings, we should be innocent until proven guilty. In this day and age, a lot of people can spread allegations, rumors, etc on your name without you even knowing and until Velveteen/Patrick gets convicted to the full extent of the law with undeniable proof, then I can't in good conscience crucify this man as if he did those things because at the end of the day, WE WERE NOT THERE. This man even brought receipts with him in the interview and his proof looks legit.
    Me personally, I hope Patrick Clark comes back to the wrestling business and even comes back to the WWE sooner rather than later. You can feel the pure pain, his heartbreak even in his pauses while speaking at this man losing his dream, his life's work and his passion.

    Wow Chris. I am impressed that you stepped into an interview like this. Quite a challenge and different then what you have done before. People are going to crap on you for not doing research or pushing back on his story and just letting Patrick talk but don't worry about them. I am impressed by Patrick's receipts and his stories add up and sound reasonable. I do like how he owns up to his mistakes and has clearly put some time into what happened and what he could have done better.

    I was super disappointed when the original allegations were spread. Everybody in my friend group, including myself, were big supporters of Velveteen Dream. We loved how good he was in the ring and how much potential he had. With the allegations, we were upset, disappointed, angry even. Flowers for Chris for being able to put this interview together.
    It's truly eye opening to finally hear his side of the story. Hearing of everything that has happened from his pov. It's a gut check that reminds you that we are all human. It really does make you think and appreciate the good things that happen. I just know that after this interview, if he appears on my screen on a WWE show again, even if it isn't as VD, I'll pop for it. I love how happy he seems even after the brutal beating life gave him.

Patrick is actually from the same county as me, and I can see he is being 100% honest. We're also around the same age, so I get how all that he has experienced cannot be easy mentally. This interview was painful. But it takes A LOT to still move past something like this and still have faith and I didn’t know much about Patrick’s story and what happened but it’s good he got to tell his side and it sucks he lost what he has due to someone’s social media post to which he hasn’t been charged for. The fact that speculation can ruin a man’s career is terrible. I’m glad he’s still on the positive side about it because I know I’m not that strong and I’d be filing all types of lawsuits for ruining my name and I’d be really depressed after an accusation like that. Great interview though and it was thorough as well.
