- We did this journey from shillong to Tura, ie from East Khasi hills to west Garo hills. Though the route from Guwahati is also nice but this one is better in terms of scenic views that you can enjoy.

If you travel via this route you will get to see Mawphalur on the way, this is such a beautiful place. If you are taking the route to travel from Shillong to Garo hills i will suggest you to start the journey early in the morning, so that you reach the destination on time which means before sunset.
This video has short length: Earlier i tried merging this journey with next day's activities but then the length of the episode was turning out to reach 30 min level, which is very long, people lose interest in such long episodes, so i was left with no choice but to break this into 2 episodes.

Those areas shown here is where I grew up, my place is just about 25KM away, I use to go there with my friends to that green desert we use to called it. There are many beautiful places in west khasi hills but the only problem is the lack of infrastructure especially road which has hampered the growth of tourism in the area.

I traveled meghalaya in 2016, but after seeing your all episode of meghalaya i wish to travel once again and this time i will also travel to tura.
What i noticed in your all trip that hilly people always prefer to eat local food,green and fresh vegetable rather than fast food! And that is the secret of their health.
Best thing in this Meghalaya series which i like apart from breathtaking landscapes and nice people is the level of cleanliness and hygiene even at road side stalls which generally lacks in the rest of the India except northeast.. we always blame politicians for it but never ourselves .. Cleaniness and hygiene is still not taken seriously here.. India is among the lowest when it comes to that.. No offence

That Jamyrdoh known in Assamese as mosondhori is best when smashed in chutneys. We take it in northeast for chutney instead of dhania leaves.

Unfortunately it gets darker very soon u miss it but the bypass road of nongstoin a little ahead from where you left off .... the scenery is far more spectacular.. you just won't believe it !! It made me think that perhaps no other foreign country could beat this beauty fr sure!!

बहुत अच्छे भाई साहब मैं भी गया हूं लेकिन हम चंडीगढ़ से बाइक पर चले थे पूरा साउथ ईस्ट साउथ वेस्ट सारा घूमने के बाद वापस चंडीगढ़ आए थे ढाई महीने बाद नॉर्थईस्ट बहुत अच्छी जगह है
