    Would love to get involved with stuff like that, would love to clean up the Yankee Meadow area after Brian Head fire, it looks like a war zone from Yankee, to Red Creek over the summit to panguitch. I don't always have the financial means but would love to boot it up. I have a CDL. Lol

    They done this in Kentucky, mostly where the elk is at

  • @remraf72
    @remraf72 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How many acres does this phase of the project is under this portion of the contract ?
    Also, one of the reps from BLM mentioned that 15 pounds per acre was flown on. Three years is what I heard him say before any livestock will utilize (graze) this area. What is their plan to keep livestock out of the over seeded area.. for that length of time.
    LASTLY, specifically speaking, where exactly can I find out more information about this on-going project.
    Thank you Hushin, Brian.
    Warmest Regards from Arizona

    • @gethushin
      @gethushin  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can't recall the exact acreage but I want to say 1500-1800 acres. They seed a total of 3 times with various types of seed. They did the first pass chaining. Then flew seed. During the 2nd pass of chaining the dozers were dropping a different type of seed. The last seeding would happen towards the end of Nov. just before winter sets in. This allows the moisture from the snow to help set the seed for next spring. In total it will equal about 15 lbs. of seed per acre.
      Like Lance mentioned, their will be no cattle grazing the area for 3 years while this new seed gets a chance to establish a good base. It's a long term conservation project for sure as you can tell. Additionally, this new area will take some time to get more deer and elk to find it for their wintering grounds.
      Lastly, I don't think there is a specific link to this exact project...at least not one we could find.

    Great job Hush guys, I would really like to see some of this done here in Oregon. Especially on one of our "God almighty" big timber companies that use chemical sprays on (our) grounds (not) theirs, instead of slash burns like was done for centuries in the past, back when all game, big and small thrived. Now you see all kinds dead shit with nothing growing in it, and (no) game tracks to go with it. It would also be nice to see all of our gated BLM grounds opened back up for the public to hunt on it again. Just saying.

    So all in all you gave them a check (we should know how much it was for) so that the cattle rancher that leases the land from BLM or USFS can have more pastures. I wish at least people would be honest about stuff. If I’m gonna keep buying your products, you should advise people which products’ proceeds will be used for program assistance and what programs specifically. Some of us would rather be involved with only a select few organizations. A little more transparency would go a long way too.

      We take $5 from every first lite hat sale and put in in a bucket. That money is spent across the board. Sometimes to conservation groups and sometimes to specific projects (water restoration, habitat restoration etc.). We try to spread the love as much as we can. We are just trying to give back. Sorry we aren’t super specific on projects, we take them as they come. Yes, we did donate some money here and we plan to work in more projects together. We at least got our foot in the door. Where would you take your money and donate it, we are open to suggestions 🙌🏻

    • @lukegarrett6638
      @lukegarrett6638 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Casey and Kelley beef is already expensive enough and deer doesn’t taste good and elk are few and far between so yeah I think that cows should be there and why would they be effecting you they stay on the winter range

    • @lukegarrett6638
      @lukegarrett6638 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jeff Osborne yeah of course they do well at Least here in Utah we don’t have them or at least not yet

    • @lukegarrett6638
      @lukegarrett6638 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jeff Osborne yeah recently I went on a fishing trip to Yellowstone and we camped about fifty miles from the park and I walked around in the woods near our camp and I couldn’t find a single deer track and what do you know at 3 am multiple packs of wolves start howling really close to our camp. I hate wolves and introducing them was a terrible idea I think that they should turn them into a non game animal no permit required type thing and have a buffer zone around the parks

    • @TheRoosterFamily
      @TheRoosterFamily 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jeff Osborne fuck off

    • @TheRoosterFamily
      @TheRoosterFamily 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jeff Osborne what do you expect. You called me a snowflake idiot. I replied at your level.
      My original statement is out of frustration from all the damn cattle in the public hunting grounds. I dealt with the bastards all elk season. Ficus of restoration should be on wildlife not fucki g cattle.

  • @wyowes6090
    @wyowes6090 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yeah. Keep the damn cows out of it. We can import all of our beef. The ranchers can go build wind farms or something. Who needs them?
