kinda have to make this one too... looks so much fun and i never really played with dragon incants.. also very strong in invasions i can guess thanks crightt for you work
One thing additionally that should be considered is Greyoll's Roar, since it both deals Physical damage, as well as debuffs enemies hit by the cast, making them both deal less damage and take more. Obviously it's slow and not a requirement, but I think that my adaptation of this build (when I can get my hands on some of the key components I yet do not have) will surely utilize it.
i think the poison hand weapon could be a good backup if you want to focus on stance breaking as well, due to its very good arcane scaling it feels like it can slot into this build pretty decently.
Funny timing, but it’s the following day and Fextralife just posted an extremely similar, yet different build. I’m not saying they copied you, just pointing out that while they are a much bigger channel with a team of people, your video and build is vastly superior, and I’m not just saying that because I’m a dragon caster. Their build uses the dragon heart and Dane’s footwork with poison flower blooms twice, but no casting at all. Instead they have the Poisoned hand in their off-hand for a buff and focuses purely on applying statuses. Not a single dragon incantation. No points into faith. Barbarians.
I'll say it, they copied Chrighht on the theme of the build and they shamelessly ripped his thumbnail down to the dragon pose, logo, and color scheme. It's pretty pathetic and shows they have no originality. Chrigght is such a wholesome creator that this sort of thing really frustrates me, and I'm a chill invader
@@justkubzI don't really see it, that's a lot of work to rush a copied video out this fast, it has a customer thumbnail and all. I honestly think it's probably a coincidence.
@BeyondTrash-xe1vs I think you may be overestimating how difficult it is to make that sort of video. Chrighht"s video is way more in depth and complex, the Fextra video is all gameplay of boss fights just spamming the poison kick move, it would take maybe an hour to farm the clips used, some of the clips are repeated towards the end. Having a custom thumbnail also isn't difficult and can be put together while the video is rendered and uploaded. And that would be assuming it's all done by one person, which for a channel of that size likely has one or even two editors. The fextra video is not a "build" it's a naked dragon man spamming the same ash of war, there's nothing more to it than that. We're all welcome to have our own opinions at the end of the day, and Fextra's video had more views than Chrighht has subscribers within the first 12 hours. Even if they did blatantly copy it they would be "too big to fail" and I don't support that personally. I wish you well fellow tarnished 🍻
@spaceman10th31 why do you care what I'm saying or if I have a bias? Like honestly, you're here commenting because it's a free country, and you have the right to do so. Simple as that. It's not that deep, my bro.
@spaceman10th31 I found it interesting that you said something not only to me but to another commenter, meaning you scanned the comments, found people talking about how we felt like Fextra copied, and let people know that they were "showing their bias" when that's exactly what you were doing. You uno reversed yourself because you didn't even realize YOU were the pot calling the kettle black. You came here and called me a "crazed fan boy" which one could easily read as an insult, when I'm here having a conversation with folks and wishing people well even if we may not agree. Voicing an opinion is one thing, calling someone a name is a bit disrespectful, and while you're welcome to have that opinion, it's kind of rude to do just for voicing their opinion. I wish you well fellow tarnished. At the end of the day we probably have more in common than we do differently.
Great build Chrightt. I've been running it with great success. The only change i made was exchanging the dryleaf arts for the beast claws. I like the moveset a little more and also the aesthetic with the dragon form.
I really can’t understand why we have to use the heart a second time to get the 20% buff to the incants. Why can’t we just get a permanent boost while transformed?
Chrightt, you should totally do some high level builds. It wont be applicable to PvP, but I feel like so many people brought their levels up for the DLC its closer to 180-250. For example, being able to medium roll in Vedigris Armor/shield at 70 End, 80/80 Quality builds w Bleed, 80/80 Int/Fth for PoD casting. Love your vids! Keep em coming!
Very interesting build. Not what I usually go for but looks fun, I’ll have to try it out. Might use the beast claws instead for more dragon flavor but I like the concept a lot
This build is sick. I'm putting together a dragon communion build using the rock heart, and was wondering what weapon to use. I was considering arcane-infused beast claws, but I actually like the idea of the poison-infused martial arts way more. Definitely going to give them a shot.
I want to take this opportunity to plug Scarlet Aeonia. It might not be the best on a low-defense build like this, but it deals physical damage, stronger scarlet rot, explosion and lingering effect with very good hyperarmor. With good control of forward momentum you can steer clear of the worst damage and tank the rest. There's very few enemies you can't effectively use it on. It's a crowd-pleaser and a boss slayer. It also looks fabulous.
For 150 build, you can use a faith-knot tear in your physick and apply those extra 10 levels where ever else you think you’ll need em. You’ll only lose a tiny bit of incant scaling for exploration / dungeon crawling by doing this but you’ll get it back with your physick when needed
Hey, you can do magic cracked tear if you want to boost your damage by 20% for the frost and magic breaths. The build seems to consist of all physical and magic incants, so both of them combined should work well enough. Or does the thorny cracked tear apply for breaths? If so that’s probably still the best, but I’ve heard much that says otherwise (will still be better if you hit more than you cast obviously, it’s all preference)
Thorny cracked tear does not work for breaths and it is quite a waste of a crystal tear just to buff the magic breaths which you use less of than physical attacks.
I'm planning on doing a whole playthrough with somewhat of a variation of this build that entirely removes Dragon Communion and focuses almost entirely on Hand to Hand, though I'll also have Scarlet Aeonia for rot, both Pest Thread spells for ranged options and a few buffs. So for me, it'd probably be better to switch to Lamenter's for the free Arcane boost, and since I plan on going for a more glass canon style for aesthetic and theme, I'll probably switch both defensive talismans for Millicent's Prosthesis and Cracked Stone, as they're much more useful for the melee combos. For my flask I'm planning to go for Thorny instead of Bloodsucking too, though that's mostly just personal preference since I like having better control of my rhythm and find the dynamic of trying to keep my combo buff up more fun (not to mention I'm a bit too absent minded and hyperfocused in boss fights, which has actually lead me to die from the life drain despite not taking hits, just because I forgot to heal, and that's always pretty annoying) Overall it sounds like it'll be a ton of fun, even if not quite as efficient as yours. Though I am debating if I'll commit to it or go with Divine Bird Warrior Greaves and Crucible Feather instead of Lamenter's and Blue Dancer, since while that definitely way less optimal, it'd give me space for fashion and I've always wanted to try experimenting with the Crucible Talismans since I've never used them. (Defense wouldn't be much worse after all since I'd get to use armor, I'd just lose out on the Blue Dancer damage in exchange for a couple more s and fashion)
My build is kinda similar to this. I do the whole dragon blue dancer thing, but instead of poison flower I just use an occult scavenger's sword. It's quick and has reasonable bleed build, does okay damage per hit, and gives me a little bit more range than something like the dryleaf arts (or at least it feels like it?). I use the roar medallion, flock talisman, blue dancer charm and dragoncrest greatshield. Occasionally, on bosses who're weak to fire damage, like Flowey, I swap out blue dancer for the magma charm and use Theodorix's Magma, since all the other buffs still work fine. It's a fun build, and gives you a lot of diversity in your attacks.
Hi Chrightt! Been watching your anlaysis and build guides for a while now, and this one is definitely my most anticipated yet. So a few questions, does switching the Martial Arts weapon to Venomus Fangs (claws) be more optimal for this build? Considering Deadly Poison deals more dmg, the weps have a higher AR with occult infusion and does pierce dmg, and is perfectly in synch with Kindred of Rot's dmg up time. What is the dmg difference for sacrificing 1.5 weight between Danes's Footwork(1.0) and Venomus Fangs(2.5) when casting Dragonmaw ?
You can change to Venomous Claw if you want but I prefer Footwork's attacks as they are smoother and easier to land. I find it much harder to hit with fang consistently.
Poison flower blooms twice is such a good AOW. I used beast claw with that AOW and a weapon with poison mist to beat the DLC final boss. Because of his long combos (wherein you have to keep dodging or blocking), poison or rot becomes handy for still damaging him.
2 handing a talisman increase spell damage as well. And the bonus for the offhand seal still applies. I was using the clawmark, so this may just the the 50% strength bonus from 2 handing
Immaculate garage work as usual Crightt. This is a super cool build, I wonder if any of the other transformations are worth messing around with along side blue dancer.
Dw I'm doing the same thing I'm like a rotten Mesmer knight running flame serpent Rotten breath Crucible tail Dragonmaw And other things but this alone has that snake look / theme
Something I feel that is important to mention is that Poison Hand would work a little better with this build since you don't need the extra str and dex with it. Contrary to what I've seen too many people say, the weapon art isn't a grab attack, so it works on all enemies. (Of course, the weapon art is only worth using on enemies that can be poisoned.)
I'm going to get tired answering all the poison hand comments 😔, but you can't remove poison with poisoned hand to re-proc kindred of rot yourself. I'm also not going to juggle a 3rd mainhand or have to 2-hand it while swapping for a second off-hand.
@@Chrightt Oh sorry, I didn't see any other poison hand comments. Juggling it as a third mainhand is how I used it, but if you don't want to do that, then that's fair.
my new character is similar to this, but without the incantations and dragon form (purely for fashion). i cranked my endurance to 45 and used a Turtle talisman for extra stamina regen. with a Milly Prosthesis, i coop by going in and r1ing the boss like crazy, using the Milly buff to enhance the Poison Flower payoff. its risky, its greedy, and its FUN

Always have the 140 crit dagger (not attempting to spell it) on your character, and use Poison Blossom Blooms Twice or whetever the ash is called.
Idea: put Poisonflower blooms twice on Occult or Bleed venemous Fangs.
If I choose to use both the poisoned hand and the martial arts, would you recommend to keep the martial arts to poison or change it to bleed since poisoned hand already deals with poison?

@@nxvh9062The only problem, is that it leaves you with a lot of buffs and debuff to be casting.
This is the build I used to get through the DLC! Probably my favorite build at the moment
Prof.Chrightt Builds -> LOVE IT
i am new to your channel and want to voice my appreciation for you and your videos! thank you for doing such a wondrous job of applying your special perspective to my favorite game. you make it even more fun!
Welcome aboard and thank you!
This is a build! I always ran the dragon form in all the other souls games and would like to run it again in this one. Now I have a reason to create a new character to try this out!
kinda have to make this one too... looks so much fun and i never really played with dragon incants..
also very strong in invasions i can guess
thanks crightt for you work
One thing additionally that should be considered is Greyoll's Roar, since it both deals Physical damage, as well as debuffs enemies hit by the cast, making them both deal less damage and take more. Obviously it's slow and not a requirement, but I think that my adaptation of this build (when I can get my hands on some of the key components I yet do not have) will surely utilize it.
This might be the coolest and most unique build I've seen
This channel does such a good job explaining stats and item picks. Earned a sub from me
i think the poison hand weapon could be a good backup if you want to focus on stance breaking as well, due to its very good arcane scaling it feels like it can slot into this build pretty decently.
Dnd dragonborn monk build lets gooooo!!!
This is funny, I also ended up with a Dragon Communion Monk fist fighting build. Glad I'm not the only one that thought this was a dope idea.
I had a similar build, yours is an improved and optimized version, thank you
Awesome build! Love your content
I was just thinking about using an arcane build like that. Thank you for this video. I love it. :D
Great build Chrightt. I've been running it with great success. The only change i made was exchanging the dryleaf arts for the beast claws. I like the moveset a little more and also the aesthetic with the dragon form.
I’ll always use the deflecting hard tear.
I also came up with this build! It's so fun!!
Awesome video and awesome build! So unique
What a exceptional build.
This looks like a lot of fun
I was just thinking about how best to do a dragonmaw build! Thank you for your excellent breakdowns as always
Great video, very useful analysis and breakdowns. I always wanted to make a pure Dragon Communion build
Thank you for doing the poison flower math I’ve been waiting for that!
This build is sick. I'm putting together a dragon communion build using the rock heart, and was wondering what weapon to use. I was considering arcane-infused beast claws, but I actually like the idea of the poison-infused martial arts way more. Definitely going to give them a shot.
I’m tempted to wear the turtle shield on my back to become a snapping turtle. That’s all.
Wake up honey a new Chrightt banger just dropped
Still waiting for that parry changes video.
I’m really enjoying this build - I only have 1 seal but it’s been lots of fun
My next build has been decided thank you my friend 🙇♂️
Great video. I beat NG2 with ur death mage build. Plan on using this for 3rd play through. Thanks!
hahaha, this is pretty much the exact build I was theory crafting. awesome build!
Very cool build!
I must be getting soft in my old age but I find Capoo's antics quite cute.
This build is super cool.
It also looks fabulous.
beautiful! I love it, congrats
I wish the damage to FP ratio was more forgiving with Dragonclaw because it’s so stylish and is super fun in chain casting rotations.
Oh wow, I've been using this but I didnt realize I could go that light on the Arcane, nor was I pairing it with PFB2. I need to try that!
Sooooo good👌🏾 I also like to sprinkle in black flame incantations and Black knife ash of war 😈
I'm gonna try this but with Dragon Cult incantations and Priestess Heart
This build is awesome 👌🏾
I'd probably use the venomous fang instead of martial arts, but they are a lot cooler than the claw moveset
This looks awesome, I was wanting to do a dragon communion build and was wondering about my melee options
I was thinking of a build along these lines a minute or two ago
For 150 build, you can use a faith-knot tear in your physick and apply those extra 10 levels where ever else you think you’ll need em. You’ll only lose a tiny bit of incant scaling for exploration / dungeon crawling by doing this but you’ll get it back with your physick when needed
We're cursing Bayle and invading gaols with this one
Is gud in pvp?
Hey, you can do magic cracked tear if you want to boost your damage by 20% for the frost and magic breaths. The build seems to consist of all physical and magic incants, so both of them combined should work well enough.
Or does the thorny cracked tear apply for breaths? If so that’s probably still the best, but I’ve heard much that says otherwise (will still be better if you hit more than you cast obviously, it’s all preference)
Thorny cracked tear does not work for breaths and it is quite a waste of a crystal tear just to buff the magic breaths which you use less of than physical attacks.
Been waiting on this one
For my flask I'm planning to go for Thorny instead of Bloodsucking too, though that's mostly just personal preference since I like having better control of my rhythm and find the dynamic of trying to keep my combo buff up more fun (not to mention I'm a bit too absent minded and hyperfocused in boss fights, which has actually lead me to die from the life drain despite not taking hits, just because I forgot to heal, and that's always pretty annoying)
Overall it sounds like it'll be a ton of fun, even if not quite as efficient as yours.
Dang, Ive been wanting to run Poison Flower ever since I ran into it in the dlc. I'm using this 100%
this is the coolest
Been using this build since I got the stone heart, except beast claws instead of martial arts since it is so much more flavorful (and more fun imo).
Masterpiece 🙏
Please please please do one for priestess Heart!
Wow, I have a similar build in the oven right now… What a coincidence. It's fun to play and reasonably strong.
Oh man. Im too dense for the specifics when it comes to numbers. But i appreciate u doing it.
@@Chrightt Thanks for taking your time to reply despite it's been a while after the video was posted, keep up the good work !
It is indeed strength bonus from clawmark!
This is awesome. thanks
Immaculate garage work as usual Crightt. This is a super cool build, I wonder if any of the other transformations are worth messing around with along side blue dancer.
So i have a pet snake. I saw the transformations and wanted to make a build of my pet. I know dragons aren't snakes but its close enough
Dw I'm doing the same thing
I'm like a rotten Mesmer knight running flame serpent
Rotten breath
Crucible tail
Dragonmaw
And other things but this alone has that snake look / theme
I use dragon and beast claws, very fun to use
Fextra stole your build and labeled it there own.
Thanks my new friend
Amazing
Poison dragon build sounds kinda awesome
Cool video!
my new character is similar to this, but without the incantations and dragon form (purely for fashion). i cranked my endurance to 45 and used a Turtle talisman for extra stamina regen. with a Milly Prosthesis, i coop by going in and r1ing the boss like crazy, using the Milly buff to enhance the Poison Flower payoff. its risky, its greedy, and its FUN
Yo im pretty sure Fextra just stole one of your builds
