Uso a versão Class A que é bem semelhante e amo, uso em todas as minhas masterizações. Acho ele bem completo e versátil, tem a opção de passar pelo circuito óptico antes do circuito discreto. O óptico engorda o som, só de passar por ele, ainda que não esteja comprimindo, é muito característico. Gosto de fazer isso quando sinto a música meio magra. Dai no circuito discreto é onde ocorre a magia, gosto do punch que ele tras para a música. Acho ele extremamente preciso, atuante e ao mesmo tempo sutil, ele não esmaga a música mesmo que você aperte de mais o ratio e o trashold. Melhor compressor para master em minha opinião, depois dele o segundo melhor é o SPL Iron. Precisam falar dele aí no canal!! Parabéns pelo trabalho.
Idk. With this plugin, I've found its not that bad using just the opto compressor, even just doing like 1db of GR. Never really found the discrete section to sound good. Even just doing one tick so that its doing something it has a pumping effect thats to audible imo. I got it free with that Soundwide merger so kinda just tossed it to the side.
Excellent compressor that’s nowhere near being shite. Class A has more refined or clean sound. The green monster has a more edgy sound. They’re boTh excellent plugins. Class A is available through Plugin Alliance.
So what I do not understand about the theory - being the Opto is in front of the VCA compressor. Usually it's the other way around with the VCA comp toning down the peaks and the Opto bringing the mix back up (1176 > LA2A.) I have both Models ( a smidgen of difference with the Class A version - which is not offered by UA surprise surprise - cheap bastards.) If you have insight, please feel free to share. Great shtick guys.
It's just the other way around... Opto first to give some gentle squeeze, then VCA to clamp a bit harder.... Finally the output transformer stage to give character... Works well I think. Thanks for the support and comments. 👍
@@who_is_dis They're two different compressor, the green has a more aggressive knee the red is more forgiving but the opto section has a high pass filter that makes it dark.
ive got the uad version, i never seem to use it. i couldnt get the sound i wanted but i might give it another go

I paid $19.99 for it a couple of days ago. It was the Class A version.
