    I own a G1 in .25 and a G2 in .22
I really like the G1 in .25. I did a bunch of Hajimoto mods to it along with a 22 cu in bottle and opened up the transfer port and barrel port. 55 ft lbs with the Mk II heavies and lights out accuracy! Love that gun!
The G2 in .22 is another story.
The first one I ordered was a leaker. I had to send it back.
Second gun held air. The big problem I had with it was EVERY SINGLE FRIGGIN SCREW on the gun was barely hand tight! Piss poor quality control if you asked me. I tightened everything up and adjusted the trigger.
The next issue I discovered was the gun is extremely ammo sensitive. I tried every pellet and slug under the sun in multiple brands, diameters, and weights. I got flyers all over or shotgun patterns with everything except the JSB 25.39 Redesigns and the FX 25.4 pellets. Nothing else worked.
Accuracy is pretty good with these 2 pellets though. about 5/8" at 50 yards for 5 shots.
I was disappointed with this gun really. I wanted to be able to shoot slugs with it, but it wasn't meant to be.
In my opinion it is just an OK gun in .22 Honestly, for the money I think you could do better.
The .25 looks to be a better choice.
The gun should have come with a side lever in my opinion. The throat needs to be deeper as well.

With a side lever and then I can no longer resist the temptation to buy.

Hajimoto Productions has a side lever mod for the Gauntlet if im not mistaken. Should check him out. It looks legit.

After several years of researching learning and watching reviews my dude has officially sold me on this. Sir keep being entertaining and bring amazing content you and your work are greatly appreciated. Most people don't understand the amount of work that's put in. Would also be cool if we could get a fx hybrid slug test outta this gun? Blessings.

I have been shooting the G30 since July. Absolutely love this gun I’m popping squirrels at 150 yards no problem. After over 2000 rounds the only problem I had was the cast sear pin bent causing it to not cock properly. Fixed that by machining out the housing and replacing it with a steel pin, did the trigger pin and the one the sear returned spring sits on, fixed it better then new. they need to put steel pins in the trigger lock work at the factory. Other then that only major thing was the regulator fluctuating and causing velocity inconsistencies. This is more noticeable at long range 150-250 yards then say 50-100 yards, I switched out the bottle and regulator for a ninja adjustable unit from hajimoto and it’s been shooting at 972fps consistently.
Great gun absolutely worth the money definitely needs the side cocking lever hajimoto is getting ready to release that will be my next big upgrade

My G2 .30 is pushing 44 grain pellets at 1005 tp 1010 fps at about 105 ft lbs, over my FX chronograph.
After breaking in the barrel, and adjusting the hammer, it's shooting 7 shot groups at 50 yards I can cover with a dime and not see a hole.
As yours, mine prefers the Hades.
I get 3 magazines at 7 shots each before I reload and refill the cylinder which is at about 2500 PSI. At that point.
Do I like it? Well, DUH

Mine's a keeper as well. Even with the G2 30 on hand, I like the shot count, quiet shooting and accuracy with 33.95 heavies. The one thing it does need IMO is a real barrel band, the point of impact shift if you bump the barrel during fills can be annoying otherwise.

Add a carbon fiber tube to your barrel like FX air rifles does

I hope the gauntlet 3 will have a side lever cocking system I just don't like the stiff boltaction. I have both gen 1 and 2 and the bolt action just sucks.

I received my gauntlet 2 yesterday it came with a loose tank that was bone dry. When i tighten the tank so it doesnt wobble the filling line and regulator gauge dont line up with the slots on the foregrip and i cant install it. Any recommendations?

    • @ShootingGearReviews
      @ShootingGearReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +3

Just line up the gauge and fill port properly and then fill it. Once it is full it will hold tight. That is normal. It’s called “clocking”.

Is the hammer spring adjustable? If so have you tried turning in for more power, when shooting slugs?

I want something that will last more than a year before breaking if I'm spending this much on one I hunt out to 70 80 yards at most, 45cal preferred what would you recommend???

    • @zzep69

Umarex TC 45 Cal, most problems are seal leaks on them and with time the poppet, easy to fix you'll need a 4500psi pump
