Mayu’s vocals in this song, what can I say…..breathtaking! Truly a beautiful song💖 Absolutely love Nemophila’ s sound from the moment they played their first song at the Whiskey. Sad to hear that Saki is moving on but wish her the best.
John! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! After I flew back from LA to San Antonio, I drove down to Webster, Texas; and saw them again at the Scout Bar. I met Tamu, Hazuki, and Haraguchi-san at the bottom of the equipment ramp. Saki was standing at the top of the ramp, but she didn't venture to come down. She just stood there watching us. Hazuki wrote the music to "Now I Here", but Saki wrote the lyrics. To me, it felt as if Saki was writing about herself. Her fear of entering into relationships, and finally gaining the courage to do so! And, you're right, John, Saki is irreplaceable. Her emotions come through her guitar. Her guitar sings, rejoices, but also, cries, wails, and weeps. Every member of the band has looked up to Saki; and now she has left. I wish only the best for all 5 of these wonderful, amazing people! May they have: the Best of Health, the Best of Success, the Best of Happiness, the Love of their Families, and the warmth and support of their Friends. AND, I STILL want NEMOPHILA to perform in San Antonio, Texas at the Laurie Auditorium!!! Thank you, again, John! And, I extend my Gratitude and Best Wishes, to You, Your Mom, and Tiff! With the Greatest of Thanks! Russ
I am happy I finally listened to the song... what an incredible song! I am sorry it took so long to get to this one. Thank you for the reminders! :) Thats pretty cool! Oh wow, is that the story behind things? Thats really interesting actually. Thank you so much for the extra information! Yeah this song really highlights what is possible with a guitar. Few guitarists are able to make the guitar speak in the way that both Hazuki and Saki can. I do with them all the best myself. If you make that show happen ill try and go to it, haha! Thanks for the kind words! I hope all is well with you, and your family!
@@Shreddawg Well John! If by some miracle Nemophila performs in San Antonio; and You fly down for the show; I'll give you and your family a tour of San Antonio! Hang in there, John! I still believe in miracles! Best Wishes, Always! Russ
Hello Russ, nice comments and I couldn’t agree more. There are countless musicians and then the very rare breed that brings emotion through their talent. I love Mayu’s vocals on every song. She is extremely talented. On the other side I could listen to the musicians without lyrics and become very emotional. I seem to be running out of cache so I need to short.
Such a stunning band, and such a beautiful song. Like Life, it almost always brings a tear to my eye. I’ve listened to both so many times. Very curious about their future, but will always appreciate these first three albums. So masterful. And yes the guitar interplay and vocals are extremely emotive here, just superbly played by all of them really. It’s really impossible to not be moved by this song, if you still have a beating heart. I think the first video I watched of yours was your Whiskey Nemophila show, so envious you’ve seen them live.
Agreed! Just absolutely incredible and filled with emotion. I will say, I did shed a tear or two from this one, haha. Thats really cool. I am very happy I was able to share that special moment (Whisky show) with so many people. I remember waiting to post the video till the VOD was available so as not to impact sales. It was really cool that NEMOPHILA did not take my video down considering a lot of videos were removed, though if I remember correctly, videos were taken down before the VOD was sold. I do remember I received a few messages from people upset that their content was removed and mine wasnt but theres not much I could do about it. I waited to post mine, didnt monetize it, and I even promoted the VOD. I got to meet a lot of people because of this band and for that, I am forever grateful. To this day, I still say that Whisky show was one of the best live shows I've ever attended.
Agreed! Shes done a lot of cool things including getting NEMOPHILA together. I want her to do well in her future projects and I want NEMOPHILA to keep killing it! The Whisky show is by far on of the best shows ive ever attended!
In the unedited footage of this, Mayu was even more emotional than she appears in this clip - to the point of being unable to sing some of the words. I can understand why they fixed that up for this video but, at the same time, I was a little disappointed that they didn't share the raw emotion of the performance without hiding bits.
I agree, with a song like this, they should just show the raw unedited version. We can have the studio one on the CD or do an offcial lyric video etc. Either way, the song is incredible and I am happy they posted it.
Hi Dead Eye! I also woke up to see the original clip; and was quite distressed when it was taken down. I was afraid it would disappear like "Breaking Out". So, I left requests on Nemophila's, Tamu's, and Old Mr.B's sites. I found out that Saki wasn't happy with it and took it down. Once it was reedited; it was reposted. I left my thanks after the reposting. I put Saki's name first in my comment of thanks.
Saki was incredible on this......she will be missed !!!!!! I so bummed.....but.....what a song !!!!!! Mayu took it to another level and Tamu was total perfection !!!!!
Great presentation adding the correct lyrics on screen Shreddawg. I didn't know how emotional this song was lyrically. That adds a lot to this. They are a great group of people and they will be very busy without Saki in the next 6 months with so many live gigs announced for Japan. Nemophila will be back bigger and better.
Awesome! I really wanted to highlight the lyrics for everyone so I am glad it helped out! I know! I saw how many shows they have lined up, thats so awesome for them! I cant wait to see what they come up with next!
Hey Shreddawg! I hope you are having a great night. I'm sorry I couldn't be here when you were live, my dogs had other plans for me. Please take care and have an awesome week!
All good bro! I tried to live thing to see if it would help get the word out that the video was going live. Views appears to be going up faster than normal so it might have helped... it could just be NEMOPHILA though XD I hope you are doing well, and I hope you have a great week!
@@Shreddawg Band Maid released their new single, "Bestie" but there isn't a video for it yet. That was from the collaboration with Mike Einziger of Incubus. I take it that the collaboration went well, since during their announcement of the single Kanami blurted out, "We love Mikey-chan!" I hope you are having a great day!
I have listened to this song many times but this is the first time with understanding all the lyrics. Normally, not understanding lyrics does not bother me (as the music is so good), but for this live performance you can only get the full expression with that understanding. I had a similar feeling when Band-Maid added the thankyou verse to Endless Story at Yokohama. It was very emotional being present for that but I was envious of those who were able to fully appreciate it at that time rather than several days later after getting the translation. Kudo's to Nemophila on this emotional live performance and thanks for adding the English translation 🏆💯❤
I am glad the english lyrics helped out! It took a bit of time to translate them and add them into the video but it was well worth the time imo. A lot of times we can feel the emotional connection to a song based off the vocals or even how the instrumentals are being played. I wanted to ensure the english lyrics were posted to really emphasize what was being said. Oh yeah, BAND-MAID is quite capable of this as well, thats why I consider them them one of (if not the) best. Thanks for stopping by!
@@Shreddawg oh yes it’s only because I miss seeing her in the frequent Nemo vids and her amazing shreds, I know both her and Nemo will continue to amaze us !!!!!
Sadly we won't hear SAKI and Hazuki harmonize again live. Nemophila announced a Japan tour as a 4 piece this summer. SAKI will tour as well as a guest guitarist.
Hi Eric! Believe in miracles! I saw interviews in the 1990's where both Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce said that they would never again perform with Ginger Baker. In 2005, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, and Eric Clapton performed at Royal Albert Hall. You can find excerpts of that concert on YT. Moral: Never say Never! Hang in there! Keep the faith! Russ
Saki leaving Nemophila is a big loss. They are still a great band, but the dual lead guitars was a big reason I fell in love with them. Their sound pulls a lot from great 80's metal, and much of it was dual-lead driven. I really hope they eventually replace her with another great lead to join up with Hazuki!
Yeah it is quite sad to see her leave. I dont think Saki can ever really be replaced but I do hope they find an amazing guitarist to try and fill in. There are a lot of great guitarists in Japan. NEMOPHILA was going above and beyond everyone else in the metal scene. I still cant wait to see what they do in the future.

Hazuki is amazing for sure! I still remember seeing them when Saki had a malfunction and Hazuki kept the song going without skipping a beat! I still miss Saki. Not gonna lie too, its amazing to get 2 guitar solos and a duet in 1 song!
I get emotional everytime I hear this beautiful song!! Great ballad

Yo thanks for translation of the lyrics. It's a monster tack.
No problem! I really wanted to feature the lyrics for non Japanese speakers so it was worth the extra time it took!
@Shreddawg thank you so so much again. One of my favourite tracks from nemo.
Damn Mayu's voice always gets me. Very awesome song man. Hazuki is a great guitarist also so I ain't worried 🤘👊🤘 Nemophila
