This was a strong and positive presentation by Chief Garcia. Many of us loved you in San Jose. My opinion is that you did not receive the support you needed from the San Jose City Council. As others have said, Dallas' gain - San Jose's loss. Best wishes to you "blue collar chief".
agreed. I live in Martinez but am well aware of all that Chief Garcia did for San Jose. He definitely left the city in better shape than when he became Chief.

I can say, being in the SF Bay Area, that there was no better Police Chief in this entire region than Garcia. He truly was the best and I figure Dallas PD will not regret selecting him for the top slot.

I live in the SF Bay Area. Chief Garcia did a great job running San Jose PD and I have no doubt Dallas will enormously benefit from his stewardship.

He loves his job, is dedicated & highly skilled. That's why. Unlike some other cops, Chief Garcia does not believe in burnout.
