Yeah, noticed TH-cam dramatically change in the past 6 weeks. They want us to buy premium for sure.
Funny how that works...let's give them more of our hard-earned money to reward them for their treachery :)

I’ve noticed across the channels I subscribe to the adds not only are becoming more frequent but they are longer too. Also very annoying is that when the video is suspended by an add when the video starts again it has gone forward and I have to rewind a bit to get to the point where it had been interrupted by the add!

£52.99 for that Kinetic 1/24 P-47 Thunderbolt kit Nige. A definite bargain. Not for me though. But I will now be checking Dave's site every month for other bargains.
I find this situation of people being un-subscribed from channels really strange Nigel. I think I am subbed to over a hundred channels. Some of them, I have maybe only watched one video of a channel. Yet, as far as I am aware, I haven't been un-subbed from any of them. It's really strange.

I mentioned it awhile back mate you can watch a 10 min video and you get an average of 20 seconds to 50 seconds on adverts .
Nice update mate and great TShirt 😉 I personally have YT Premium but I hear a lot about the number of adverts, potentially it ruins the platform for people which is a real shame, it’s their trainset though so we have to grin and bear it sadly. Speak soon mate.
yes it's been a horrible boring year............i've got my eye on the USS Reliant resin kit, really big but i'm not sure about the 400 quid price tag............ i've gotta make something different
Regarding TH-cam, I have noticed a lot of strangeness lately. Lots and lots and lots of ads. Difficulty subscribing, etc. High time for a TH-cam competitor.
I have around 100 channels I subscribe to. Some I haven't watched in years but they are still listed in my subscriptions. Just my experience.

I had 4 adverts come up yesterday while watching Airfix and Chill Live! Another thing I occasionally get is a 30-60 minute "advert" mid-video, which is even more ridiculous- thankfully not on one of yours
I don't know about a tank but the P47 was certainly a "JUGernaut".
Re the adverts, I have not had any such problems. I wonder if there may be a browser/operating system issue. I use MS 10 with Firefox. I have heard that MS have introduced adverts into 11 and if you have it you have to find the undocumented method of switching them off.
I haven't had the unsubscibing problem either but I have found YT doesn't alert me of vids from channels if I'm not a regular watcher.
As far as I know Modelsvit is UKR and my kits from them say made in UKR, but the warehousing / supply to world etc is via their/a company in Bulgaria, hence the address there...summat like that.
Part way through spring here - the weather has been changeable, but it was lovely out on the bicycle today around Sydney (written before your blowout comment). Time does pass quickly! It seems like yesterday that you started WNW Wednesday. Keep up the great work. I will have some updates on the group build soon (a Tamiya 1/48 Spit Vb, ICM Beaufort Mk1, and some progress on the Gannet). The Misfit has stalled...
Re adverts and subscriptions,I had to go premium as I tend to watch longer content so they were making things unwatchable.I have just had to resubscribe as I'd been unsubscribed by the tube of you,I'm a pretty regular watcher of your content so can't understand why.Any how keep up the good work, cheers.Martin
Not a car builder but I will start clicking on your car builds. Advertisements have changed because now I don’t have a way to bypass them. But since your superb videos give out so much modeling skill tips, it’s a very small price to pay.👍
I totally agree with you Nigel adverts I'm not good I've given up TH-cam now because of adverts I can't be bothered to make them anymore I only make him when I feel like it
I get lots of adverts when watching videos on my tablet. Some are not really adverts and can be an hour long, luckily you can skip them. I'm not sure if they expect folk to watch them when they are that long, seems very odd. I've been watching a video when all of a sudden they put Peppa Pig on which is bizzare. I'm afraid i use an ad blocker on my laptop to make the platform useable but i expect that will stop working one day when the corporate big boys take over the net.
Make-up ads? That's weathering products for people isn't it? What galls me about many sites nowadays is that they won't let you use an adblocker. It should be the viewers choice, not theirs! Some of us don't have the time to sit through 30 mins of ads in a 60 min vid.
I know, unfortunately Money is king in every walk of life these days.!!
I do not know why people complain about certain segments, including the part works. If you don't like something don't watch it, and shut up!

Nigel, the adverts is so hit and miss, some times I get to watch an hour long video with 1 or 2 adverts, other times I get one every 4-5 minutes, Live streams can be unwatchable, when there are ads every 5 minutes.

I took Premium a year or two ago and never looked back to keep my sanity 😂

I couldn't agree more about the ads. Talk about how to piss people off! It wouldn't be so bad if they popped up at natural break points in the video but random insertions do my head in, especially if it is in the middle of somebody's guitar solo or something. Jeez TH-cam, get a grip! Anyway, rant over, keep up the good work, Nigel. Coincidentally, I am still waiting for my Wingleader new issue which was posted on the 23rd Sept. apparently. Nil carborundum.
I know John. I watch YT all the time so it's worth the £12:99 to not have the ads.

Keep up the great work Nige. I found your channel about a year ago and picked up so many hint and tips from your videos and massively improved my modelling as a result. I have noticed the adds have increased and summerised it's YT playing silly devils, but worth persevering through for your great content

Nigel, Have you heard where Canada has banned the sale of all Tamiya Spray Paints? This goes into effect immediately which means that even stock that Tamiya has on hand in Canada cannot be distributed. Any rumblings of something like this happening in the UK?
They were banned here a few years ago.. maybe they'll be banned again eh??

Great month update Nigel. I am enjoying the Hatchette stuff and follow the revisited videos, I am currently on issue 14 of the Dambuster. Adverts... well I got fed up with them to the point I now subscribe to TH-cam Premium which is a cost I really don't think I should have to endure but such is life.
I have been watching B-17 builds and reviews without much interest but couldn't resist the Eduard Bloody Hundred 1943 which, once I've done some research, will be building towards the end of the year. Keep up the good work.

Nigel, I am interested in your Airfix -1/24 scale Stuka build:
I’ve got some interesting tips that you may be interested in for this build, you know what valve stem oil seals are? Inside are tiny tensioning springs that you may use for oxygen hoses etc. bigger seal have bigger springs and can be used for various purposes: oil cooler hoses, opening the springs a little will give ideal insulated covers on pipes and cables etc.
Thats a great tip re the stem seal springs.. never thought of that. I have thrown away tons of seals in my time!! I have oxygen hoses in flexible resin for this one.

Hey Nige , the reason why your getting a lot of make up and beauty adverts is because of the modelling in your title and the algorithm get confused about model making and glamour modelling .
