I like how this movie was filmed. It has kind of the same technique or feel as Margin Call - the dialog is very even-keeled and it feels like you're almost in the same room with these people for many of the scenes.
Billy Beane (Brad Pitt): "I was grateful for the call" John Henry (Arliss Howard): "You were grateful. For forty-one million you built a playoff team. You lost Damon, Giambi, Isringhausen, Pena, and you won more games without them than you did with them. You won the exact same number of games that the Yankees won, but the Yankees spent 1.4 million per win and you paid 260,000. I know you're taking it in the teeth out there, but the first guy through the wall, he always gets bloody. Always. This is threatening not just a way of doing business but in their minds it's threatening the game. But really what it's threatening their livelihood. It's threatening their jobs. It's threatening the way that they do things. And every time that happens, whether it's a government or a way of doing business or whatever it is, the people who are holding the reins, have their hands on the switch, they go batshit crazy. I mean, anybody who's not tearing their team down right now, and rebuilding it using your model, they're dinosaurs. They'll be sitting on their ass, on the sofa in October, watching the Boston Red Sox win the World Series. --Moneyball

But They Did!!!!!!!!!!
They DID !!!!!!
😂😂😂😂
@@mandersj it's for the search engines.
But he turned it down and became an F1 driver instead..
My thought exactly!😅😅😅😅😅
The cameraman knew!
Gorgeous as always :) Love the add.
I think Brad Pitt himself would be the first to tell you he never got offered to be GM of the Red Sox. If he did, he would be GM of the Red Sox 😂
John Henry is so much nerdier on real life
But Billy ended up in the jungle trying to get to the Chopper!.....
A very underrated film
underrated? 7.6 on IMDB, 94% rotten tomatoes and 87% Metacritic as of today. Thats not underrated whatsoever.

But he did win in life in terms of having Brad Pitt play him in one of the greatest sports movies ever made.
when did you realize that was cowboy from FMJ?
it's not Matthew Modine. It's Arliss Howard.
baseball sucks
Did you mean like white socks or red socks ??
For a second I thought it was Trump talking to Musk about DOGE. "The way the government does its budget, its a dinosaur"
