  • Hello Everyone! Welcome back to our channel, Travel with Cubs! Today, we’re thrilled to take you on an exciting new adventure!
It's Easter Holidays and guess what? We're heading to Sri Lanka with our little ones to visit family! The kids are buzzing with excitement to see their grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
We're flying out of Newcastle International Airport, just a quick 45-minute drive for us. With the cubs in tow, we've got loads of suitcases, so we're definitely not traveling light!
We love traveling from Newcastle International Airport because it’s so easy to access. For over 80 years, this has been the North East’s largest airport, connecting our region to the world. With 16 airline partners, it offers flights to over 80 destinations, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
Newcastle International Airport, along with Emirates Airlines, plays a crucial role in connecting travelers from Northeast England to the Far East and beyond, providing an exceptional travel experience. We’ve been flying with Emirates from Newcastle International Airport since 2007, and it’s always been fantastic!
We timed it perfectly and checked in online, so there were no queues for us to complete our check-in and collect our boarding passes. We then smoothly made our way to security and duty-free.
Newcastle International Airport has a fantastic selection of duty-free shops, restaurants, and bars. Since we didn't have much time, we headed straight to the gates to get ready to board our Emirates flight to Dubai.
Emirates Airline operates a Boeing 777 from Newcastle International Airport, a favorite among many travelers for its comfort and reliability.
Today, we’re flying to Dubai and then connecting to Colombo. The entire journey takes about 13 and a half hours, including a 2-hour layover in Dubai. Our cubs cannot wait to get started on this adventure!
After a 7-hour flight, we’ve now reached Dubai, the home of Emirates Airline. Dubai International Airport (DXB), the world’s busiest international hub, saw a 31.7% increase in passenger traffic last year, reaching 86.9 million and surpassing pre-pandemic levels. You can connect to most destinations around the globe from here, and many travelers love to stop over in Dubai for a short stay. It's an amazing place to explore, even if just for a little while!
We're just about to board our flight to Colombo! We're so excited to be in Sri Lanka for the next three weeks, exploring and traveling.
Don't forget to subscribe to our TH-cam channel, Travel with Cubs, to follow our adventures. See you all soon!
