Possible defenses 1) Insanity plea 2) Car wasn't stolen, as reasonable doubt the guy didn't offer the car and master key. The coke was not his but planted by someone else. He was a legal gun owner, the accident was not the cause of the shopping cart death..the woman had a seizure/stroke that coincided with the timing of the collision...he didn't lose control of the car either...was a mechanical malfunction....Ricky didn't die and the shot was unintended....-and lastly, the bail money wasn't stolen but only in the metaphorical sense because the gifter was in fact displeased
I have my Interviewing and Advising Exam tomorrow as part of my English LPC course. I'd love to be a Criminal Solicitor when I graduate, but if I ever have an interview like this I worry I may choke on my own vomit laughing so much!! 1st defense: they were drugged and brainwashed into doing some crazy things for the Mexican cartels, alien invasions. 2d defense: he was off his meds and the voices told him to do it. 3d defense: mistook the car for his old car, key still works. Drugs were in the car that he thought was his therefore can't possibly be his. Cousin told him to shoot him they were messing around and he has a permit. The lady with shopping cart didn't die from getting hit by the car, she had a heart attack moment before he drove the car close to her because he was saving her.
Did the criminal attorney not receive the arrest report? This would have been one of the first things I would have requested before meeting with the client.
