--------------------------------------------------
Come gather 'round people wherever you roam,
and admit that the waters around you have grown,
and accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone
if your time to you is worth savin'
then you better start swimmin'
or you'll sink like a stone
for the times they are a-changin'
Come writers and critics who prophecise with your pen
and keep your eyes wide,
the chance won't come again,
and don't speak too soon
for the wheel's still in spin
and there's no tellin' who
that it's namin'
for the loser now
will be later to win
for the times they are a-changin'
Come senators, congressmen,
please heed the call
don't stand in the doorway,
don't block the hall,
for he that' gets hurt
will be he who has stalled,
there's a battle
outside and it's ragin'
it'll soon shake your windows
and rattle your walls
for the times they are a-changin'
Come mothers and fathers
throughout the land,
and don't criticize
what you can't understand
your sons and your daughters
are beyond your command,
your old road is rapidly agin',
please get out of the new one
if you can't lend your hand
for the times they are a-changin'
The line it is drawn,
the curse it is cast,
the slow one now will
later be fast,
as the present now
will later be past
the order is rapidly fadin'
and the first one now
will later be last
for the times they are a-changin'
He really could sing.
Maybe the greatest rock song and maybe the greatest rendition
This is by far the best version of this song. Ever. Bryan's version is great as well, but this is truly a work of art.
Sledge Hammer have you seen don henleys version? i prefer it to this one but both are amazing
Bryan who? Is it on TH-cam?
He nailed this cover!!!! Just brilliant 🤘🤘🤘
It’s perfect. There’s Phil, a tambourine and a timely on point message in a Bob Dylan song.
say what you will but this is a ass kicking good version. A brilliant song in essence so cudo's to bob, but god damn it phil!
Angelo Balzano
The bass player is awesome!
this is a song where every generation finds itself and its interpretations are only improving
Phil is an absolute Giant, He'll never stop growing.
I loved his voice from the early days of 'Follow you - Follow me'
but today he's so much more than that.
His voice carry wisdom as well as deep emotions.
Ppoooopplpppppllllllllllll
I could not have describe it better than you. Thank you
Liebe dich und deine Stimme
These guys are jazzin' on good vibes and hope for the future. No wonder Phil titled this album "Dance into the Light."
This is an awesome version
He sings it like a song of hope :)
A beautiful song
Hey hey phil collins
great Nathan East the best bass player.
James Jamerson comes to mind...
Leland

It must be awesome to sing and record songs that meant something to you … when you were young. Excellent Mr. Collins
😊 Indeed but I think Phil will always be young ❤ in his heart &:soul 💜🙏
Very good Cover. Very beautiful. BOB DYLAN IS A GENIUS. Thank You Phil. IT's Great...
Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
R.I.P: Ricky Lawson (drums)

Great song, congratulations for to get it. Lyrics and music from the great Dylan and the extraordinary voice from Phil... spectacular!
a song for generation by generation ✌🤟🔊🥁
absolutely fantastic!! And with Chester as your drummer and Steurmer (sp?) as your drummer and guitarist, you're set!
Outstanding rendition !! KR
I like this much more than the original one.
I really like this. It's different, but I'm glad there are so many different records of this song. I really have to give Phil here credit for getting the word "prophesy" right. The original had "prophesize," which, of course, is not a real word.
Brilliant! Thanks for posting! I never knew he performed this song live as well..
The Bass men is genius...😊
Fantastic, great song, great lyrics!!
Great!. Thank you!
this is the most brill !!! Love ya Phil
"Wow, that Phil Collins concert was awesome! What was that one he played right in the middle? The Times They Change or something like that?"
"That was nothing honey, what about that spirited rendition of "In The Air Tonight?" Electric, am I right? ELECTRIC."
Angelo Balzano.
imagine this being sung on some far reaching colony of earth a thousand years from now :'). I like Bob Dylans version the most because it's kind of like sad and envoking the future at the same time but i'm a huge Phil Collins fan too.
This version is very rhytmic, compelling, runaway, full of grit. Then the tones gradually grow.
Therefore it represents more faithfully than the original the meaning of the text which refers to a speed social change in action more and more distruptive and revolutionary. It's a great idea (in accordance with the meaning of the text) to insert the bagpipes (here they are imitated by the synthesizer) that the scottish army played everytime advancing towards the enemy.
@vinniebraz01
nobody sang dylan like the byrds, but this great song was also recorded by the beach boys for their party album sung by dennis wilson (if you find the original sessions you have beautiful versions without the overdubbed party sounds and screaming and singalong) and also on the debut of simon and garfunkel (quiter version, beautiful acoustic playing and harmonizing like you can imagine).
but my favorite version is the one dylan sang in 2008 at the white house, so much feeling.
I took a picture of Chester and compared them to the video from the Dance into the Light tour and Both Sides Tour, and I concluded that it is Chester playing in both tours.
different voice, different mood from the original but phil collins is a great performer
richtig gut

❤❤❤❤
und was herr east spielt ist ganz grosses kino
top tune
Fabuloso...
É Phil collins é bom
Its not its Ricky Lawson as Chester didnt play on Phil's 2 tours in the 90's it was Ricky.
A much better recording of this song is found on Phil's Dance Into The Light CD
I have that album and the studio recording is my favorite track, but I enjoy seeing it performed live as well. Either way, Phil makes this an anthem you can dance to while fighting the good fight.
Yes he did three tours i always forget the seriuosly tour but that is the only one Chester played on as both the other two tours had Ricky Lawson on them.
If that's the case then it's funny that it's a folk music standard and one of the most performed songs of the 20th century. Of course, similar things could be said for quite a few of Mr. Zimmerman's songs.
you obviously have never heard him live have you.
FYI Phil Collins has more talent than 95% of all the musicians to date.
Great song:D Why there are always people complaining about the artist? VinceNoir it's sad, get a life.
But great song eey;)
Phil just did :)
Ok, first off. Phil did three tours in the 90's. Serious Hits... Live! (i have the DVD), Both Sides Tour, and Dance Into The Light tour (I also have the DVD). While after research, I did conclude that is Ricky Lawson in this video (sorry dude), but Chester does play on the Serious Hits...Live! and the Dance Into The Light tours
Look on here for drum into for both sides tour and its quite clearly Ricky. Then look at Sussodio for the Dance into the light tour and you can quite easily see its Ricky again. Chester on came back on his final farewell tour. Oh and by the way i went to both tours and have the concert programmes and it doesnt have chester in either!!!
My letter to the lobbyists and entertainment industry.
Yes sure! It is Ricky Lawson.
@payinattention225
tell that to the byrds, the beach boys, simon and garfunkel, my three favortie versions besides dylan himself, but the best ever was the one dylan sang at the white house in 2008 i believe, his old, horase voice gives the song an even greater meaning i think.
beautiful version, the piano also adds something to the majesty of the lyrics.
@sharukh1 this is Nathan east
@snoozingphil Definitely, it's RICKY!
Thats not Chester playing drums its Ricky Lawson
@maddymud Phil Collins rarely sucks at anything.
this song is made by Bob D to perform only by Bob D . and thats a fact ! but phills best fans will apriciate it igues coz its kick ass lyrics right there ,
Hello, can you tell me Where phil collins play this song ? thank's for your answer
Denis Booker Hey Dennis:. This was Radio City Music Hall in NY.
This one was on men of the year gq' by vh1s
P hil numero 1 mundial...
Amen to that. xD
I do like Bob Dylan, but Phil Collins can actually sing.
Interesting version of a classic....I don't think anyone can touch the original though.
@jens0867
Thanks!
I think its just a difference in tones, here. The Dylan version, to me anyway, has always been somber and angry. Kind of defying the status quo, in a way. Which is great. I think Phil's version is more Joyous in tone. Its almost like he is celebrating that the "times are changing," if you will.
@gatorcounty
You're right: my ears are bleeding !
anybody got lyrics ?
With bagpipes ??
Nice with bagpipes !!!
I came here expecting Phil to suck, but this purty good ...
@gatorcounty its okay, everyone has to have their own opinion, its what drives humanity, differences. I respect yours, but respect mine.
Bob Dilan.
look at 1:23 and tell me thats not Chester
@FWYGINOND
Angelo Balzano.
@OropherThranduil check out the version done by keb' mo'... my personal favorite. /watch?v=U_pcX16yc5c... i hate obama, but its the only video on youtube with it. eddie vedder's isnt bad either
its way too poppy for the serious message of the song
I don't like it. On Phil's album it sounds a lot more..."rock", more guitar, more drums
I understand you well
The worst cover so far, such a weird pop-rock.
