Reminds me of some of those early Nadal-Federer promos 😂 Alcaraz has the same accent as Nadal while Rune is much more confident in English like Federer, so he does most of the talking
I had a really big smile on my face watching this and it's nice to see two peers enjoying it. I'd like Daniil and Andrey to take part in a similar challenge, it would be fun :)
@@heizeking3557The grunt, or what ever sound you make as a player, is a way of timing the ball as well. Its really difficult to explain when you havent played on a fairly high level with good technique, but when you know the ball is coming your way and you also use your mouth to make a sound, it is as if every single part of your body is focused on hitting and timing the contact with the ball in the exact correct moment.
Those grunts are actually a way of timing your hits with your breathing so you have your stamina under control as well as the timing of your racket hitting the ball
Tbh loved this duo. Not much of a big Rune fan On - Court, but he seems like a nice person. Loved to see Carlos again, charismatic on and off court. Looking forward to a good US Open from both of these lads
Yeah, same here. Not a big fan of Rune on the court, but this definitely changes my views of them. I have to remember when they are on-court, they are in work mode.
This is exactly what tennis needs to reach new audiences - fun and creative challenges like this amongst pros🤩 Kudos to y’all, and please continue with this type of content when possible!
@@lobsterboy2020 best players in the world or not, they're playing decent points with a racket that's got a like 6x6 string pattern in a tiny area.. it's impressive.
Love how top players these days are so accessible and up for it. Everyone is just so genuinely friendly to each other. This is a massive contrast to the 90s, where each player was segregated from each other, even players of the same nation like Sampras and Agassi were.
This incredible Two Twenty years old on court fooling around with so much laughter, joy and heart. I love this. Thanks Tennis TV and whoever thought of this idea.
Love to see them laughing and having a good time with an each other and in the sport. They deserve times like these guys are all work most of the time and they need to unwind. I as well enjoyed it!
Great to see these two already starting to do things like this. Pretty sure than in just the next couple of years, we're going to see the start of another Agassi/Sampras type of rivalry with the two of them tossing grandslam wins and the #1 position back and forth.
These two guys are both extremely likeable, but, I must say, Carlitos is already such a rock star! Holger's day will come soon. They are indeed the future of tennis and it's so enjoyable to see them being themselves and just having fun. 🤩🤩
"I need to overcome the problems" Boom! That's a true Winner mindset right there! Not like a loser who just complain when things are hard. This is why only few make it in life.
Crazy really lol. This was fun. Car-no-lose I love that!!! We need all star tennis match like the mba. Let’s see trick shots and services and all @cam hopefully this happens.
The funny thing is, the way these 2 now play with these rackets is more like they used to play in the 70's. It was just the more efficient way of playing
@@wallieshere Definitely, but other guy was right about UTS. That tournament is a super fun watch. An interesting new take on the scoreboard, players freely talking during matches with each other, a lot of trash talk as well. I wish it wasn’t so close to Wimbledon; maybe we could’ve seen Alcaraz and Rune interacting with the other guys.
Watching this was the happiest moment in my life-- until Carlos almost hit a tweeter! He just had to remind me that he could beat me with a normal racket-- maybe. Best line-- "You deserve it man."
If they just hit chips and slices they could’ve probably sustained a longer rally. Amazing how Alcaraz was still making clean contact while swing hard on a few strokes.
Rune is actually a gentle soul off court it’s crazy how much his personality changes during matches
Not unlike the big 4
Like Nole whose personality off court is totally charming.
I mean, you can't get accurate assessments of people in a few minutes. We have NO idea what any of these people are actually like.
No this moment should have been Carlos and Sinner moment or a Ruud moment
Djokovic and Rune share one thing, and that’s not so charming attitude off court

lmao I was just about to say, especially when carlos said "whatareugonnadoo" 😂

True but Alcaraz's english is SO much better than early Nadal
@@jordanvespa720That's true. Nadal had to use interpreters in his early years.

I love the ridiculousness of this... and the grunts despite mostly just tapping the ball 😄.
the mini versions on their full power grunts 😂
I think the grunts are louder coz theyre all mic'ed up
right? it's so funny, I don't know why are they grunting

Shows how talented these two are, that they are able to have basic rallies by the 3rd point. It will be a joy to watch their rivalry grow.
LOVE these "on-court" wacky challenges!
Hope to see more of these in the future!
Well done, Tennis TV 👏
Glad you enjoyed!

Loved this. If Alcaraz would have hit that tweener, I would have shat myself.
I bet he makes it more often than not
Me too
He made it during his match against Tommy Paul, time for some new underwear😂
hahahahhaha
Same. I was watching with my father, I told him if it was in I would've retired from playing tennis (not really) 😂😂

Rune seems like the nicest person
Rune can be a great audio book narrator. Such a calm voice. 😊

so much easy personality from these kids... gotta love it
Car-No-Lose had me laughing
"This is really really tough. But i think I'll get it".
Sums up Alcaraz's attitude in a nutshell and why he's currently #1
Que simpatico es Carlos, un tipo agradable 100%
Always come up with something new to show us a great side from these players

Rune looks so innocent when he’s not playing 😅
So entertaining! Please make this a series with all the other top players....hilarious!
Love seeing this. So positive and joyful. Glad they find ways to have fun.
They are still playing better than me.
Holger says oh la la just like Patrick 😂
"this is not the way to play with it, but you know I have to overcome the problems ," This is why he's the champ.
Mouratoglou really seems to be rubbing off on Holger 😂 2:08
That was fun. I like seeing these wholesome tennis moments. They really endear me to the players
If you weren’t smiling this entire video, I’m sorry this is the funnest thing I have seen this year
These two guys are great for the game, on and off the court.
That ooh la la from rune. Mouratoglu influence 😂
2:44 that shot was in from Alcaraz
I needed 30sec to get a glimpse how actually cool these two new top stars are contrary to the last 2 years of just seeing them play
Awesome to see these 2 successful young men enjoying their success in tennis, and having played as pre-teens -- peace and love
love these two young guys
Nice to see these two "old buddies" get together and have fun.
When Holger says "oh lala", its like im hearing Patrick haha
