Great video for a very lackluster blaster. I do kind of like the look, but Hasbro is really going to need to step up their game.

Come on guys this is a sweet looking blaster and the mod’ers out there can surly enhance the performance ...because they are mod’ers, right!?!
Videos4u Byme yes it looks amazing. But this is elite 2.0. So theoretically the 2nd version should be better, but that’s not the case with elite 2.0, sadly. So it would be awesome if they could raise their soft dart blaster performance up to like 90 FPS or something.
Edit: I’m not trashing the blaster or anything, in fact i think it looks really good and has the same performance as the regular stryfe. But the higher FPS the better.

We could use a focused heat gun to melt the glue just enough to separate the parts.
Can also drill out the clips.

Maybe I start modding the Elite 2.0 blasters and show the OGs how it’s done.
This is one of the main blasters I was looking forward to and this is a huge disappointement
Wesley Fan if 2.0 had screws it would actually be good so we can mod it or use it with 5 to 7 plus FPS than elite but the welding means that you have to destroy the blaster to use it properly
Some of the 2.0 blasters look kinda cool.. That's about the only positive thing I can say about it.
Hasbro, please stop listening to witless bean counters and out of touch focus groups and listen to the actual community that is very quickly losing respect for you.
DURR yes. They seriously need to stop lowering performance. I know they make blasters for young children but come on hasbro. At least 90 FPS. Your stock elite blasters should please hit 90 FPS. Please hasbro

mdlassel yeah 😂. But really tho, hasbro could EASILY bump their stock nerf blasters up to 90 - 100 FPS. At least. Please stop cutting costs and lowering performance

@@clone734 Their Rival line does reach around 100 fps. As for their soft dart line, they keep the blasters underperforming to avoid lawsuits.

Hasbro has "nerfed" the entire Elite 2.0 line from what I have seen and read, it should have been called MEH 2.0! I hope they did not MEH up the Mega MotoStryke, I have been looking forward to that blaster sense Toy Fair 2020.
I also want to add that it really does seem like Hasbro is going out of its way to deliberately discourage hobby grade gameplay and performance levels. Whilst it's smaller competition is doing just the opposite. Why, is anyone's guess.
Because they know that people are more likely to buy nerf blasters. It’s just a thing with brands. If you have Apple phones since you were young you’re more likely to keep apple products as you’re just used to it, though you could buy Android products and use them well it’s just preference. They know the customers like the asthmatic and the attachments of the products, so if they make poor performance products they can make ones that do better than their-already-bad blasters, so that people will be much more tempted to purchase then
I don't understand why supposedly intelligent people haven't figured out that the VAST MAJORITY of Nerf type blasters are bought for, and used by younger kids. They are designed as TOYS. Kids play with them indoors, and in small gardens... gardens with busy roads at the end, and kids picking darts up off the road isn't ideal. And neighbours who don't want darts on their lawns, patios and conservatory roof. Kids aren't responsible adults, they don't think like adults and they don't need adult blasters. They were never designed to be an adult hobbyist product, and if Hasbro capitulated, they'd be cutting off 90% of their market for the sake of a few selfish adults. 🙄

Bacon2077 this Phoenix is actually about the same as the stryfe so with this one they haven’t really lowered performance just cheaper out on plastic and screws

Nerf is taking a beating right now, if the Adventure Force Spectrum is a quarter as good as the Nexus pro they are going to be in some real trouble. The only thing that nerf has coming out that I'm interested in is their new Hyper line, but the way things are going now they will probably screw that up too! Awesome video, keep up the good work

About the FPS testing...
I noted that he did not keep the rev trigger pressed between (on/off rev) shots for the Nerf darts.
For the NonNerf darts... He did keep the rev trigger pressed (always on) so maybe that’s why those darts “seemed” to do better.

Great review, i still want to pick it up to make a phoenix, echo rifle type blaster like people did with the retaliator and stryfe back in like 2015 or something. The actual performance isnt bad for nerf standard and what i consider standard in being powerful enough but not like the nexus pro where it might hurt a little if you tag somebody. I hate that they are punishing the nerf modding community by using cost cutbacks and making it modder unfriendly, it doesnt really affect me cause i cant do something like the stryfe cause i dont know how or have the materials and that ive only done a retaliator and maverick. I think they need to cut the crap with 2.0 because the whole reason they made alphastrike was to make a more affordable way to play with nerf blasters. I will still by it cause its not a BAD blaster just a bit uncomfortable and i dont want to miss out as i did when the stryfe and most of the normal elite blasters came out cause i was young and didnt know they existed. sorry for the long comment but i hope you like it and make people (and nerf) think
Modulus and Doomlands seems to be discontinued, no new blasters has been announced, I definitely think that this is hasbro's way of merging those lines with the elite line, AND MAKING IT WORSE, bruh when the jam door popped out in the video i jumped a little, i never seen this bad quality before for a nerf blaster (okay maybe i have).
the lack of screws in some of the blasters is atrocious too. AND THE LACK OF PAINT ON THE OTHER SIDE BRUH, THE ELITE RAYVEN CS 18 HAD 5 COLORS, AND ITS PAINTED ON BOTH SIDES. my nerf elite reflex has more paint/deco than the surgefire, or the elite 2.0 line
this is just really sad, a complete downgrade from the elite line, the only good thing is more tactical rails and the front and back attachment points, thats all

Yeah, if ultra didnt suck they could have been expensive, but the darts shoot worse than standard elite, and barely survive hitting anything. I would also get it if elite 2.0 was cheaper, because the build quality is cheaper than even the standard n strike blasters. The only hope is the apocalyptic lines (doomlands and zombiestrike) which rely more on creativity, and rival which seem to become better the more are released (though they should revamp more blasters like the apollo with an actual good prime). It seems that Hasbro is becoming more like icarus, and they are flying closer to the sun with each blaster that they release.

I think no-matter how bad Nerf gets dart zone will never be the number one blaster brand in sales because it only sells in the US.
Nerf blasters while worse still look a bit cooler than adventure force

From what Foam Blast said, It's better to get the nerf alpha stike flyte if you want a cheap base stryfe, cause getting inside this is too much of a hassle. Great video/review regardless of the blast being so below subpar.
This line is the evolution of the Alphastrike series, not the Elite series. Should be cheaper to reflect reduced manufacturing costs. If hyper isn't the biggest innovation since sliced bread Nerf are dead in the water.
Btw dude you're probably my favourite Nerf personality. Drac's a bit out there and Coop is a little too reserved, but you balance perfectly between objective info and well grounded opinion.

Hi. If you could put vintage blasters in the modern day, what changes would you make to them, and what series would you put them in? (ie, elite, doomlands, mega, zombie strike, rebelle, alphastrike, ultra, rival) the list for this challenge includes: crossbow, lock n load, bow n arrow, big bad bow, blazin bow(i consider this vintage), secret shot 1 and 2, at1k, at2k, at3k, at4k, sneakshot, ratchetblast, electric eel, rapid fire 20, sawtooth, ripsaw, reactor, arrowstorm, chainblazer, expand a blast, hornet, scout, og titan, mad hornet, warthog, defender t3, tech target, supermaxx line, and fastblast

I got the volt, commander and shockwave this monday, they have comfortable crips they are sturdy and on my chronobarrel i got up to 67.3 fps on shockwave and up to 74 fps on commander chronobarrel cannot be fixed to volt and no stand alone chronograph so i do not know about that i would be interested to see what someone with a stand alone one would get. Ps compared to phoenix shockwave has lots of screws commander has about six that i can see including under the primeing slide. None visable on volt.
I'm still using the stryfe, rapidstrike, and the nerf regulator since they work really well.

Good review, only 4 of this line are out in the uk and i have 3 of them in my smyths toys basket the phoenix is not out yet over here nor are the trio, echo and warden. ps thanks for the ammo tips. Sadly adventure force blasters and darts not easily available in uk and you have to pay nearly 20 pounds for 51 darts to import on ebay. Any other good ones in the uk

I'd say you probably wouldn't want any of the Elite 2.0 line. I saw one of Walcom's videos on it (specifically what was basically a slightly upgraded roughcut), and it was terrible. Slamfire had been removed and both of the ones he purchased jammed, and essentially broke. They also use mainly glue and pins to hold them together, meaning its basically impossible to mod or fix/replace any of the parts.

You are hoping for Europe to get the Nexus? I mean, Im too but I live in Germany. We. Dont. Even. Got. Rival. No chance we will gat thet. Im still so mad, they said that rival blasters were "too high powered" for Germany. I predict that 2025 you will need a weapons license to buy a damn kitchen knife here...
PiXeL _ArC i happen to live in Germany as well. We are not getting Ultra either. Fun fact: the DIN norm on toy safety was changed in 2018 to allow slightly hotter blasters (now using Joules per square mm etc), technically allowing rival and Ultra to be ok here. But the WaffG still limits it to .5joule max energy. So unless that gets Aligned we won’t see any higher powered blasters. Dart zone won’t apply for the F im Fünfeck...
but getting a nexus to somewhere in Europe makes it vastly easier to acquire than Walmart selling it exclusively in the USA only. There is at the moment no way to get one here unless you find someone to buy it over there and ship it here. (Think Blaster time in Netherlands)
And you probably know how customs is currently seizing even Rivals being shipped from amazon to Germany.
Getting them to France like rival being sold there on amazon is a first step. With open borders this makes it still expensive to acquire but much more accessible...

Not gonna lie, it's like they took the stryfe modulus and added extra plastic to the handguard, and were like "not enough plastic, we need more plastic, slap it on lads!" then proceeded to fill the top and middle of the blaster with more plastic.
Thank you for good review. I think slow speed is for young kids. In other words, insurance for lawsuits. Hasbro is a big company and can’t take risks too much. My 7 years old son has hard time for priming Villaimator. It is true that it’s not sexy for teens and up for weak shots, but as a father I feel safer for weak shot.
Anyway, I also believe Hasbro should start to cultivate adult consumers like Dart Zone’s pro line.
I think that hasbro is winning on the market outside US and on kids because their parents have always thought nerf is the best. But over the time if nerf keep doing this, they are just gonna lose on that. But maybe when nerf see dz they understand that they need to step up.
I hope the halo MA40 dosnt have this issues when it drops

If I have to buy a Nerf brand semi-auto flywheeler that came out this year, then I think I much rather get the Fortnite SMG-E. It's only $5 more and comes with none of the solvent-welded BS. But next year, who knows if Nerf will solvent weld even their licensed blasters and blasters from the other series.

Great review as always dude, this blaster definitely seems to do pretty okay for elite performances and looks wise even gives me FDL 3 vibes for some reason, but it’s just not worth it when you can literally save your money for either dart zone or even just any mod blasters out there in general, there’s less and less reasons to buy nerf these days. And the fact that I found out they they lobby for less FPS blasters just makes me never want to touch anything nerf ever again, not even rival.
Damn first with Walcom, then Coop and now you? Dang these blasters aren't looking good. And what I'm referring to is the blasters just breaking out of no where. Walcom I think had one of his 2.0s break and had to get another and then I think I remember something from Coop but dang.
Well, the fire power is kinda standard for the Nerf. However, I do believe that since Hasbro refuses to accept most of their brands, which are 20 something years old on average, are more bought by adults for themselves, which is a shame. They've said in QnA panels at Has-Con and TF Nation that Transformers aren't for kids. Wouldn't surprise me if they viewed that for all brands, Star Wars Black Series? Why have "crates" of 8 boba fets when you can pack like 8 characters no one wants like...some random background character. Even the Marvel Legends line is kinda lack luster. I think I'm going to move on to statues for my "toys". BUT HEY remember like, 15 years ago, Nerf N-Strike! They were moving away from air power guns, moving towards springs, and then electric! Remember when the Recon was like...a big deal? When Nerf was just getting better, and better? Now it's all re-releases more or less, and I actually don't mind that. They do upgrade their blasters a lot of the time.
See, with something like this Phoenix, you know what would have been REALLY cool? Add in that semi-auto, burst fire, and full auto switch. With the tac-rails, and stock options? You could legit, make one fun gun! Hell, nerf should release a multi pack of ammo mags, no ammo, just the magazines. Two of each type, I'd pay like 50 bucks for that. As a kid, my biggest complaint with nerf wars, was darts, and lack of magazines. So I'd stick to my old Mavric, ya that yellow one no one likes. Because it was easier to reload for me mid fight. Now, now I'm adult and second hand nerf clips and 3rd party brands are a thing for me.

Getting this blaster open without breaking it is basically impossible. Internal cage geometry Is completely different than the Stryfe also.

I think I Like the Look of it but that's about it.
While it does look like the performance is what we've come to expect from Elite performance its disappointing when compared to the current competition.
It doesn't even match up to the existing Nerf blasters.
Very disappointing that the Jam door comes off during the review.
Still, Better than managed with his Walcoms shotguns (this still fires)
And that's before you try to mod it.
If they had called it AlphaStrike 2.0 people would have been impressed (though we;d still wonder where the new Elite blasters were.
