The +1 towers or 1 upgraded tower choices are more important for any build where you don't have reroll or have very limited reroll; they make it more likely that you get the towers you need; not getting the towers you need is what kills you in Inferno runs. The +10/+10 doesn't tend to matter nearly as much with Inferno builds as with Royal.
Actually you can put the root 2 tiles ahead on mole even though there's no tower besides it. It's because the root always spawn on the left first before going on the right.
I had double gargoyles going. After I got so far along I put a third in the middle of them and had this merging result that made quite the impressive tank. What with the infusion basically triple rewarded. The only thing that I was missing is drover. It sucked because I did the special so drover ended up being a tower not in the run at all. Food for thought, Root left of Mole means there is always an empty tower slot during combat since it's attempt to spread then eat. If it's mole on left it means eat and replace. Root always spreads left first if I recall so as long as mole is there you don't even need to close in the root on the right side. Also if the roots are first it gives a better chance of weakening first boss so the mole can take that first hit and deal some damage on a second if it hasn't leveled up yet.
@@HaliosTV Overall compared to most things I pretty much agree. I was thinking of a few set ups that would make them pretty potent. Like using portal to get double princesses to the right of a gargoyle so it could quickly reach level 5 later on and keep feeding those as they hit level 5 to a gargoyle on the left. I was thinking feeding 5K hp shots every couple rounds depending on how quickly you could get a new one to level 5 or what have you seemed like an interesting experiment.
@@HaliosTV The only thing I was thinking might make it useful would be if you had a Tower of Defense that a level 5 Gargoyle might be able to sky-rocket the stats on. However, the new anti soft-lock setup means that the gargoyle fight won't last long anyways.
I find it's very hard to start with mole if you can't get it to level 2 before the first boss. Otherwise it tends to just be eaten without doing any damage. That or using a Promises-Cerberus-Promises setup at the front for the boss.

I just find it hard to get far often without a little extra in the back

Oh damn! I'll keep this in check!

I still feel Gargoyle is a little too weak at the moment

@@Dravkwn It just doesn't seem to scale for the later rounds quick enough
