**The Cup Holder mount was purchased at West Marine however it is a MAGMA product and can probably be purchased direct from Magma or other retailers.
In this installment of videos on how I have outfitted my boat I review the purchase of the Magma Marine Kettle III Grill/Stove, how I mounted it and the challenges I have to overcome while using it here in Hawaii.

Ugh, i should have saved the money and bought the plastic cupholder / rod holder. Looks like we've all got the same idea regarding bbq'ing on the swim deck, i'm a bit dis-hartened that your grill didn't work out back there. Thanks for the video.

How do you manage the grease that drips? Didn’t see a grease trap on the grill.

The Magma Marine Kettle Grill has a built in drip pan. It cant be removed but it does catch the drips and has to be tilted over to let the grease drip out (I do this upon cooling down)and wipe away with a rage or paper towels. Every once in a while you wash it out Thanks for the question.
Great video . How did you connect the mount to the cup holder ? Is it the stock cup holder, if not where I have to buy that ?

To Install the grill into a cup holder requires the cup holder to be a combo fishing rod holder and the use of the fishing rod holder/arm from Magma. Its a very effective and ez install process when setting up the grill. Because we are salt water I use the plastic fish rod/cup holder and they are the angled style. Good Luck.

If you are asking about the methods for securing the Magma Kettle Grill to your boat there are (3) that I know of: 1) Fishing Rod Holder, 2) Surface Mount and 3) All Angle Round Rail Mount. I have the Fishing Rod Mount. It works but you must be careful of the wing-nut that you tighten down. It's made of a plastic that is a bit brittle, I broke the wings off.

Which brand cup/rod holder did you buy and what angle? 15 or 30 degrees? Thanks in advance!
The fishing rod cup holders in the back of the boat off the swim platform are 15 degree, the single unit up in the seating area port side is the 30 degree. Manufacture I don't remember but they are plastic and inexpensive. I got the two 15 degree units off Amazon and the 30 degree I got from West Marine. Hope that helps

What size/style boat do u have? We have a 21” bow rider.
Aloha, my boat is a 19' Yamaha SX190 Sport Boat (similar to bow rider).
What brand is ur rod/cup holder ? I just got one for west marine and is smaller than my cup holder, it fits but i can only screw 2 screws instead of 3. I got it at west marine its brand mate series. Wondering what bramd you got.

Yes that is the Brand that I got from West Marine, the Mate Series. I was able to install it with all 3 screws. Could be that your OEM opening is larger than mine.

I just dismantle mine and put in the dishwasher. The ignitor quality is crap. Mine stopped working almost immediately so I decided to clean in dishwasher

Will that work in the cup holder? You mention fishing rod holder. Looks like cup holder

I'm pretty sure the OEM cup holders are not going to work using the MAGMA attachment that I bought. That attachment is for a fishing rod holder diameter and where I stick it in the seat post the seat post itself is deep enough to support the whole device. BUT maybe you can cut the bottom of an OEM cup holder out to just a little larger than the Magma fishing rod mount and slid it through and tighten. That might work and would be worth a try. Hope this helps!
