I have a 2003 Honda Accord 4 cyl. and had the PO122 code intermittently. Replaced TPS sensor(original),calibrated, reattached battery and all is good. Symptoms disappeared. Recommend. Great video,Thanks.
I have a 2005 Honda Accord and I got that P0122 code. I'm going to try and replace it myself because i really don't want to call a mechanic. Thank you for explaining it i feel more confident in doing it myself
Good call on using a cutting wheel to get those dumb screws out. Luckily there’s not much torque on them or I would have been having to figure something else out lol. Thanks for the video!
PO122 code on my '98 accord. Was performing fine prior to my smog check on 6/18/22. SMOG place was having problems with their machine but my car did pass smog. Haven't driven my car again till 6/29, when code came on. When smoging, do they move the tps sensor??? Don't really have money to repair, so looking at what could have caused this code to pop up.
So hooked up the voltage meter I checked for .5 ohm resistance in the middle wire and then sometimes a week sometimes a day it throws out a different reading and the bolts are still tight to the DPS. Did the rev to 3K 3x quick too. It just keeps getting out of whack any ideas?
Yeah I did for the 2nd time today it worked for an hour. Good 5V reference checked wire before and after for any resistance 0 ohms. Did a new pig tail even got 5V. I am checking for maybe the engine isn't properly grounded. battery ground connection needs to be done but always get the ground right past the Posts checked too. P0122 code again. Dash goes pretty dim when I turn on headlights. I got a new battery alternator was recently checked. 170$ hour for a wiring guy who might solve it. Same car goes for 7K so worth it if I had it. Throwing brand new codes. Cleaned out IAC, cleaned and tired throttle body spotless. Tried to find a vacuum leak but couldn't. I don't really trust my mechanic he said black sludge in the overflow valve is "nothing to worry about." I parked it spent 5 hours on it doing all of it and am stumped. Also I realized I know more about wiring than he does at this point and am about to become a wiring guy for that kind of money.
So if my car is not accelerating properly, installing out at a stop sign sometimes, but the code doesn’t come up. Can this still be the throttle position sensor? I’m only getting misfire codes, but I already replaced the spark plugs and everything? Can someone help me with this problem?

You just line the 0iece on the inside up with the hole where you took it off then simply turn it so the bolt holes line up. The sensor is spring loaded and has to be turned back into position
@@lifeathand1062 sir i know that i have calibrated it to 0.5 - 4.5v but issue did not resolved then i tried 0.45 -4.5 but still high rpm and jerky improper gear shift . Please help
If you clean it you run the risk of damaging the electrical of it this can also happen when cleaning the throttle body if you do it through the breather hose

The one I had bolts that you cannot get off. Had to gently tap the old one off.

I'm notsure what your asking can you give more details. Are you asking about the screws that hold the sensor on

Is it idling high in park and when stopped
If so it may be the iac idle air control
@@lifeathand1062 changed the whole throttle body (including all sensors) bought complete throttle body changed it thrice .. car is still the same
TPS can't be cleaned or is it sealed?
