When I worked at a plant firm we had a fleet of John Deere tractors which replaced some aging Ford 8210s. One of the 6410 tractors would not rev above 1500 revs and was rejected from the site so I had to travel to Scotland to check it out. Some conscientious operator had cleaned the cab and given it a quick polish. On the RH window ledge there is a rotary knob. An adjustable rev limiter! The "tidy" operator had turned the rev limiter down while cleaning the windows. I went, prepared to change filters, check fault codes and arrange transport back to base and all I had to do was turn up the limiter

When I was a demonstrator I had to go all the way up to Prestwick in Scotland because tractor/mower wouldn't start.
After a 7 hour journey to get there all it was is he hadn't put the pto in neutral from the last time he used it... took me longer to drink my brew than to find the fault 😊.
Power lines is why your not loading the trailers there.

How do all the machinery loans work between the different farmers? Do you charge or is it just part of farming that equipment is loaned out at no fee?
Borrowed a local farmers JCB TM320 to shift some logs. Got out to close the door. Could I get it to move when I got back in, turns out I'd knocked the column gear shift and was trying to use the joystick gear selector.

Quiz question 2 - my new car developed a clicking noise whenever I steered quickly (parking etc). It was just after the warranty ran out and I thought it was going to cost loads to fix it. It turned out after a small amount of investigation that the chap that valets my car had knocked a guard that sits at the bottom of the steering column near the pedals. Every time the steering rotated it caught the loose guard, I clicked it back into and job done 🤦🏼♂️
Mate had a Massey f from dealer , cut grass and went in for lunch and wouldn't start . They dealer came up and shut the door 😂. Then tried to charge him . Only had it a few days

I had a silly incidence years ago I accidently knocked a creeper box on Case IH 1455 in to neutral took an hour to work out what I had done 😮 Did i feel silly once I worked out what had happened still laugh about it now 😂

Yes few years ago we forgot our little Case had creeper gears and somehow the lever had been moved. Thought their was something major wrong! Doh🤣🤣

Nice easy fix on the 1455! I wouldn't recommend abusing the quadrac at that pulling lark to often as it'll come back to haunt you some day your needing it and with a hugh financial cost!😪 And the crowd's clapping and cheering won't be there to fix it or contribute!

Had the gearbox suddenly stop driving on my County 754 when using it to drag the sledge back when tractor pulling at our rally. After loading it on a truck to get it home we found the gearbox was okay and it was the clutch pedal turning on the cross shaft. One small weld and it was fixed.
At the same rally on another County, a 1124, all the bolts sheared in the front hub where the steering arm attached. Same performance loading it and got it back to the yard only to tease all the bolts out within ten minutes with a pin punch.
Two knackered undrivable Countys repaired for a total cost of £23.00 for replacement bolts! Sometimes, luck is on our side!
Nothing like a first time in doing something. 2017 I was chucked into the deep end to go baling. Fendt 722 and Case big baler. Never driven a Fendt. Nice looking tractor but to complicated for me in computers. I like a clutch in a tractor, feel in control at traffic lights. Must say I loved the JCB 418 shovel with Tanco wrapper on.😊😊
Yes , something far more silly than your tractor no drive . I farmed in Northamptonshire, but I also did some motor racing , with a race Lotus Elan, the gear box started making lot of serious noise in 2nd and 4th , so took the engine /gearbox out , had it rebuilt , a few bits ,but nothing drastic , put it back in , just the same noise , took it out again replaced lots of bits , but couldn’t really find the problem , put it back in , still just the same , anyway , had to drive it home I needed it that evening . As I was driving home on a long straight road , I’d just changed into 4th and rested my hand on the back of the gear lever where the rubber gaiter was , and “ bingo “ no more noise , 😊.
Unbelievable the rubber gaiter had split letting in the road noise . A new gaiter was £2.50 .that was in 1974 . I have to say I was slightly annoyed . Funny now 🤪🙁😂
When mowing in the morning, having been raking the evening before. Tractor seemed sluggish, torque graft showed low and diesel consumption was low. Thinking blocked filters ect so carried on until nearly finished the field and realised the pto was still in 540 economy!

I’d had it for some time and one day I was in a petrol station wondering why I couldn’t get the ignition key out. 15 mins went by, queue of cars behind me I realised I’d not put it in park! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Doh!

Piece bag got caught on the creeper gear of the deutz I used to run. Couldn’t work out why it lost drive after lunch same thing as the 1455 😂 knocked into neutral. Creeper was behind seat on deutz
My Valtra N174 had to have a condenser replaced last year had a PTO sensor fail last Friday just when I need to bale haylage before the rain came, new one fitted by technician.... Today hitch up rear mower drive 12miles away to cut grass no pto drive, error codes show up another technician comes out and finds rear link arms had pulled connector plugs apart of the new sensor, happy days great video, keep up the good work 😢

had the same thing happen to a 1056 years ago and a 956 used to get stuck in reverse would have to grab the linkage under the cab to free it. i also got stuck on a breaseblock in a 2 wheel drive 955, bang on the diff just brought the rear wheels of the ground lol

We have a Defender 90 partner was driving it said it was broken went out to it and found she had knocked the h-l lever into neutral easy fix thank goodness

that tedder design is rubbish, all for a safety guard that wouldn't protect you from anything anyway. those guards are designed to get hit but they then made it impossible to use if if does get hit?
