1. The cutting of the tree was only for the timber. It was accidental that they were passing by the same way. Shiva's intention was never to kill or harm the officer. 2. The gun was Rampa, Shiva's friend's grandfather's gun which used to backfire. It was mentioned in multiple references in the movie. They didn't cut the tree for it to fall on the vehicle, they cut it cause if trees are cut the officer will be in trouble. He is supposed to prevent cutting if trees from happening.
At 5:40, he cut the tree to smuggle it out of the forest, so that the forest officer gets charged of inefficiency and negligence. It was just a coincidence that the tree fell on him.
The tree cutting, was to simply do an illegal activity in the forest, and bring it down. Shiva was basically plotting to make the officer look guilty of not doing his job...to get him fired ultimately. Of course, that went down more seriously than expected. It was a clear coincidence. Shiva and the landlord discussed this when the landlord went to have his 'affair'. You guys need to pay more attention 😄
They didn't deliberately plan to make the tree fall on the officer. They were trying to break as many rules as possible so that the officer would get fired for not being able to do his job well. They were planning to hint, cut down trees and do on.. Plotting to get the officer fired
No, you guys missed a lot of things. you get it completely wrong. This movie is around 1980s. They were just cutting tree so that they can collect wood to sell. But the tree fell on the vehicle mistakenly. They haven't planned that.
When would people learn to appreciate something without putting down another is something I wonder always. Bollywood as well as different regional cinema, not just south, have been giving many wonderful movies forever. Some industries made more money at one point, now some other industry may be making, and like the south directors himself said, who knows the next big hit would be from Assam or Orissa. There are so many good hindi movies that were interesting and refreshing in last 2-3 months itself- uunchai, bhediya, An action hero, that while not making as much money did have really good content. But people unfortunately feel the need to have such a negative attitude towards Hindi cinema to hail south. As much as I love watching many south movies, now certain people (not the industry) have made it like some toxic game. It's annoying to say the least.
Something huge and popular would normally get hates. That's a common human trait to be part of the herd. But you can see it as a revenge to the constant memes of bollywood years ago on South . Not arguing that's it's right btw
@priya you have given words to something i deeply resent. People want to feel superior to others when they put down different beliefs/faiths/community/culture. In doing so they confirm their own f'ed up beliefs that what they follow/like/praise/revere is the only best thing to do so and consequently they feel they are above others who don't share the same ideology.
When will people understand to comment something relevant, stop ranting everywhere . I’ve read every comment but I found 0 comments that u were complaining about . Everyone’s praising the movie or talking about the mythology or etc . Now hear this as u wanted someone to say this “ Bollywood has done many good films but it didn’t do a film as good as KANTARA.” Now go and mald elsewhere.!

This movie is use so many metaphors about Shiva and Vishnu (God), Shiva symbolises Shiva and guliga, and Murali symbolises Vishnu and Panjurli. The two element
Since shiva had no interest, Guruva (shiva's cousin) was performing as the demigod in the kola. Remember the scene where Shiva's mother was telling shiva that ideally the Kola shd be performed by him and nt his younger brother. Also the landlord had said in one scene during the same time that Guruva is doing well, bt there was something special about how their father used to do. So since Guruva died, it was his vision that Shiva saw as demigod in the prison. (Usually he used to see his father)
6:17 because the forest officer use the gun from Shiva, which originally belongs to his friend’s grandfather. It’s a faulty gun which had killed the grandfather too
A lot is getting lost in translation, naturally. The language, cultural nuances, even the satirical comedy is not understood by even Indians outside of the region(coastal Karnataka). But I think you are appreciative of the cinema nonetheless. Cheers.
the gun is special it fires 2 sides at once . Daiva gives him nightmare everytime Shiva does things he should not be doing . basically the daiva guides him throughout the movie.
That's an old gun that fires from both sides. The story that was told when they were hu ting the first time , when the other guy's grandfather hit the gun on the ground, makes it fire from both sides.
Ther is interesting fact that why the lead has been named Shiva ...as God Shiva is seen in two ways first the destroyer(Hindu Trinity) and then the protector as well..Rishabh Shetty named himself Shiva because in first half of the movie Shiva played himself the destroyer he is killing boar, cutting trees, beating PPL agressive n angry all the time where the 2nd part is him playing as protector of village and people and accepting the bhoota kola which u will see in 3rd part.
You miss the point at 5:49, Shiva was not planning to kill the officer by felling the tree on him. He wanted to cut a big tree so that the officer looses his job for not being effective in his job. You can hear him saying if this plan does not work lets do something bigger by killing the animals in the forest so that the officer will be sacked for not being able to control poaching. But unfortunately at the same time the officer comes in the same path.
@5:45 shiva and team were cutting trees so that the cop will lose/transfer his job. When they were cutting the tree the cop’s jeep was passing by… it was not intentional, it was a coincidence
Gun backfired because it was not officer's gun. That gun was rampa's grandfather's gun. Rampa is shiva's aide. Rampa narrates a funny story of this gun when they go hunting. It's a malfunctioning gun which back fires always and only he knows how to use it. You can see how he uses the same gun in climax. In that scene officer takes shiva's gun without realising and fires it as normal gun
The reason he didn't shoot down or capture shiva is that, in tribal land law enforcement is cautious because they are not just against one person but the whole tribe. And they don't have anywhere to run but tribals can disappear in forest and can survive till everyone's forgotten about anything.
Not avatar of Vishnu, the song only says that Panjurli has the face of the Boar (Varaha roopam), and as per the beliefs Panjurli was a Boar before reforming as demigod. But it always takes the name of lord Shiva and Vishnu during the Kola as it worships them. So it's not true that it has nothing to do with Gods from purana and some says it's not even culture of Hindu which is not true.
1. The boar in the movie represent Lord Vishnu second avatar. 2. The tribe people are specially protected in Indian constitution. So that they cannot exploited easily. Forest people have to co operate with them. 3. Forest department are rude sometimes because the hunt endangered species and cut forest more than they are given
Motivation behind guruwa murder --- He wanted to give him 5 acre land , and he wanted Guruwa to Tell villagers to return Lands When he is playing / possessed with God -- so that villagers return land without any resistance.

At 5:40, he cut the tree to smuggle it out of the forest, so that the forest officer gets charged of inefficiency and negligence. It was just a coincidence that the tree fell on him.
Superb Movie. We should support more such movies which show the diversity of our Hindu Culture.
That rain fight scene was fabulous 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The tree falling on the police officer was a coincidence. He was cutting the tree to make them mad.
They cut the tree so the officer gets in trouble due to the reduction of the forest cover. They didn't mean the tree to land on the officer jaby.
The next scene when demi god confronts shiva and passes the message is awesome. I so wish you understood kannada. The dialogue by demigod is awesome.
How jaby was so calm when he suddenly appeared on the screen! 😂😂
The movie is great and love watching your reactions 🌸
Eagerly waiting for part 3.. one of the best climax till date 🤩🤩
No, you guys missed a lot of things. you get it completely wrong. This movie is around 1980s. They were just cutting tree so that they can collect wood to sell. But the tree fell on the vehicle mistakenly. They haven't planned that.
This is my hometown in Karnataka.
1:23 Acharaaa 😂
Okay
Something huge and popular would normally get hates. That's a common human trait to be part of the herd. But you can see it as a revenge to the constant memes of bollywood years ago on South . Not arguing that's it's right btw
💯
Eagerly waiting for part 3 kanthara..❤️🔥
Boar is a significant symbol you haven't yet realised. Varaha the third avatar of Lord Vishnu is a boar.
Achara understand things so quickly .... Jaby seems often lost 😅
We love watching your reaction. I have been following ur channel long back... Sorry to say Jaby, Achara grasping is awesome.. most of the time she guessed things rite.. 😂😍
14:50 jabby wtf😄
Guys I need you to upload next part today itself!!
Please
hahaha! I love Achara's reactions and the camera close ups at her face! 😄😄😄
I'm happy they're watching with the original varaha roopam!!!
Can't wait for part 3 now.... cause real fun is in part 3 🔥🔥🔥
This movie is use so many metaphors about Shiva and Vishnu (God), Shiva symbolises Shiva and guliga, and Murali symbolises Vishnu and Panjurli. The two element
Old guy is not blind
Old guy is always high
Since shiva had no interest, Guruva (shiva's cousin) was performing as the demigod in the kola. Remember the scene where Shiva's mother was telling shiva that ideally the Kola shd be performed by him and nt his younger brother. Also the landlord had said in one scene during the same time that Guruva is doing well, bt there was something special about how their father used to do. So since Guruva died, it was his vision that Shiva saw as demigod in the prison. (Usually he used to see his father)
6:17 because the forest officer use the gun from Shiva, which originally belongs to his friend’s grandfather. It’s a faulty gun which had killed the grandfather too
My waiting is over... can't wait for the climax reaction...post it today
This our beloved god of southern Karnataka from Udupi to manglore traditional cultural god......
1:25
Blessings of Panjurli are not softly blessed. It's the hard way so that people realise the true power and value of his blessings 🙏💪
The Boar represents Vishnu's Varaha Avatar (The Boar Form)
A lot is getting lost in translation, naturally. The language, cultural nuances, even the satirical comedy is not understood by even Indians outside of the region(coastal Karnataka). But I think you are appreciative of the cinema nonetheless. Cheers.
"Is the old fella blind?"
"No, he's not blind cuz he saw."😂
Jaby, my man, the guy is high.
The old fella isn't, but Jaby on the other hand might be watching this movie with his eyes closed. 😂
1:25 see jaby he is no react on horror sense 😳
the gun is special it fires 2 sides at once .
It's a bit sad they dont get to see the climax in a theatre
Achara understanding well i think.....Joby is little confused...🙃😅😍😍supperb reaction
Can't wait for the 3rd part of the reaction
In a parallel universe.... I love you so much Achara Kirk ❤️🤗
Achara understands movie so well...but Jaby like wts up happening.. 😄😄.. but ntg to wory she is helping
Despite cultural nuances and a lot of context not translating, your understanding is not at all bad. Good reaction.
It back fired bcoz it's rampa's grandfather's gun as rampa explained previously and the gun gets swap when Shiva is coming back from forest
Powerful people... Powerful.. God's... Powerful. India🇮🇳.... 🙏🚩😍
@5:45 shiva and team were cutting trees so that the cop will lose/transfer his job. When they were cutting the tree the cop’s jeep was passing by… it was not intentional, it was a coincidence
1:26 Achara was like 😱😱 ...but jaby ... this guy didn't even move an inch of his muscle
The back fire of that specific gun u can see throughout this film.
I never seen movie like kantara worldwide masterpiece . Amazing experience with with both of u guys to watching this kind of acting thank u guys
ಬಂತು ಕಾಣ್ತದೆ its here
Achara :- what
Rishab :- time
Achara :- ohhh...😅😂cutee...
The reason he didn't shoot down or capture shiva is that, in tribal land law enforcement is cautious because they are not just against one person but the whole tribe. And they don't have anywhere to run but tribals can disappear in forest and can survive till everyone's forgotten about anything.
Gun backfires as it's his friends grandfathers gun, which always misfired, we can hear the conversation in the first hunting scene
Its really fun watching with you guys
1:25 sums up everybody's reaction at theatres for the first time
Happy Saturday , Jaby, Achara🙌
eagerly waiting for the 3'rd part. 😍🔥
Thats back fir gun only for shiva🙃... In kanthara last 20 minutes shiva vas firing act❤ amazing last 20 minutes❤
1. The boar in the movie represent Lord Vishnu second avatar.
2. The tribe people are specially protected in Indian constitution. So that they cannot exploited easily. Forest people have to co operate with them.
3. Forest department are rude sometimes because the hunt endangered species and cut forest more than they are given
he was high and able to fight because everything was going in slow motion for him !
In India, rules exist in some books but are not fully implemented because of the population pressure
Motivation behind guruwa murder --- He wanted to give him 5 acre land , and he wanted Guruwa to Tell villagers to return Lands When he is playing / possessed with God -- so that villagers return land without any resistance.
His friends had told him a story about how the gun had saved his(his friend) grandpa life. Actually gun fired back everytime he fired.
6:18 this girl got it...she very good understanding all this.😉
8:58 gurva use to be performer and landlord wanted gurva to speak as demigod and say that you can have all the land back and he denied so he killed.
I'm American 🇺🇸 but I love ❤️ indian culture 🕉 jai shri Ram
Achara is so intelligent 🧠 i don't know how this half minded fellow got achara in his team ...achara is so precious 💞..
The fight scene in rain was the best part for me.
Rishabh 🔥🔥🔥🔥Kantara🔥🔥🔥🔥
He was not pointing gun to shoot , but only showing tht he got gun to protect their people and was saying its being repaired
